I thought it was touching how when Charlie told Angel ' _there's more to him than he thinks_ ' Angel becomes all quiet and awkward afterwards like nobody's ever said something that nice to him before... then he goes and contemplates the idea of redemption alone in his room... in a way that seems like he's more doubting the idea of a demon as far gone as himself being redeemed than the idea of redemption itself.
This gives a whole new insight of Angel tbh. He is basically under the control of his boss and is getting abused by him - I feel like he really wants to escape this life cause he himself knows that this aint making him happy, but he feels like he cant break out of it, maybe he feels even hopeless, like he doesnt deserve any better or something like that. Gosh, I wanna hug him so bad, Angel is just so very hurt ;v;
In the song addict he says this “looking awesome~ *feeling helpless”* this shows that he does feel helpless. And he doesn’t want to tell people about his problems because he’s just not used to being treated nicely. POOR ANGEL😔
I thaught that valentino was a very powerful customer of the stripper club where angel works, but be angels boss makes also sense why he treats him like this, and how angel get "happy" when charlie gave him a bunch of money only for "accept" the deal. His face was surprised😍 maybe cuz he doesn't gets a relative amount of money from valentino, thats why he said that, after all, it would be good to stay at the hotel, where he could sleep and eat every day like a respectable demon 😢😢👌and the way like valentino spoke to him, like he was some kind of "slave" and having to suck his.boss dick etc often to havent problems with him and the videoclip "addict" completes this story, when was the first time when angel was cruelly raped by his boss valentino and in this comic technically have passed some months from the addict video,.but before cherry destroyed the stripper club where he works. This comic is like a middle situation between the first night with his disgusting boss and the freedom that cherry his frend gave to him, and then is when we see hazbinhotel pilot episode

I feel like it was a good breath of fresh air for Angel as well, to talk to demons who had nothing to do with the world of sex at all... like... if you've been drinking soda and sugary beverages all your life and one day you were given a refreshing, cold glass of water. you know? This was probably the first time Angel never had to think about his job or money... I found it really touching in the end when Charlie told him _there's more to him than he thinks_ and Angel kinda doesn't know how to function after that... he gets all awkward and quiet... then contemplates the idea of redemption alone in his room, a possibility that never appeared in his mind until Charlie came and opened the door... it's so sweet... in the pilot, Angel helps Cherri out by _"doing his girl buddy a solid"_ , because Cherri was there for him when he needed her the most.. he even pushes Cherri out of harms way during the Sir Pentious fight... when Charlie was feeling down later in the episode, he reached his hand out to her wanting to comfort her, but changed his mind last second. so yes. Angel Dust can definitely be redeemed... He's not a bad person... you can tell he cares for his friends..
Itz_Star Wolfy in the pilot, when Angel ate the ice pop and saw Charlie become down, he was about to reach out but decided not to in the end. It can be seen that he was somewhat appreciated her for giving him a chance of redemption (this comic) but not trust her enough, unlike Cherribomb where he values their relationship (Addict). That’s why he joined the territorial war

Technically speaking, Angel was clearly planning to use violence before the mobster was going to say it. The whole 'let me speak a language you understand' thing was Angel basically saying he gave up negotiating because violence was the only thing that was going to get through to them.

Charlie giving money to Angel really is an interesting contrast to Alastor offering his services, specifically being able to see Charlie on both ends of “charity.”
That's pretty interesting, I didn't think of that. On another note what I really like about this comic is how it also shows how Charlie seems to be a foil to Val, especially when you see the contrast with how Angel interacts with them.
And he did went to try it out, now that we actually get to see what Angel actually goes through he actually does need help but doesn't want to admit his issues to others, I guess maybe he's not a total jerk after all, I guess that explains why he was willing to join.
I absolutely love the voice for Valentino. It nails his sleazy and evil personality better than the traditional "pimp" voice I've seen other people use. I really hope a similar VA is chosen for him in canon
Or better yet, Viv could just CHOOSE to use DJ for Val! He could even be an understudy for Angel's new VA or even Alistair (he version of him is pretty damn good.)

Also, I think the reason they're focusing so much on Angel is because hes the first tenant of the hotel. So, knowing his backstory and traumas is helpful in showing how he changes for redemption

This comic does give us a really good bit of insight into Angel: He’s a gangster at heart. He knows the streets, how to make deals and get shit done. And if he gets threatened, he’s ruthless. He could be a force to be reckoned with if he got the chance. He came from a crime family on Earth, and damn if it didn’t show here.
That voice acting was GREAT. The “Like VAGINA?!” Joke... I really hate to admit it, but that’s what I thought when I first heard the name, because I’ve never heard it. 😅 I need this to be an origins episode. I really wanna see it animated. I was surprised how almost perfectly the voice acting resembled the real ones too! Great job!
I’ve seen quite a bit of different interpretations of this comic lately, and I must say that this is the most realistic version there is to what I would imagine the real source would be. I’m very impressed with the tone, voices, pacing and just about everything with this comic. Thank you, for doing this piece justice. I believe other people have tried their best to replicate this, and theirs have been “okay” or best “somewhat satisfying” to watch, which I applaud other voice actors for trying, but this has got to take the icing on the cake for me!
Vivziepop made an extensive comic series called Zoophobia which she dropped in favor of Hazbin. It might still sorta be in the same "universe," because Hell and demons exist in that story too

I really like the distortion you put on Val's voice. It fits with his theme extremely well, sounding very insect like with that rattle in his voice. Also, it's adds a lot to the atmosphere of his scenes. I hope they use something similar in the official series.

I feel like most of the other dubbers on TH-cam give Valentino a more southern-esque accent, but I like yours so much better. It has such a smooth quality, but carries so much grimness underneath.
Pretty much why I made the corrections to make it easier to follow on screen. As interesting a choice as it was to stylise the dialogue in the original and make it look nice, the comic clearly needed some proof reading before release with the inconsistencies and spelling mistakes.
Lmfao angel's conversation with actually reminds me of convos with my own dad. "What did I tell you?" "To do x" "And what did you do?" "*insert something opposite to x*".

Charlie giving money to Angel really is an interesting contrast to Alastor offering his services, specifically being able to see Charlie on both ends of “charity.”
That's pretty interesting, I didn't think of that. On another note what I really like about this comic is how it also shows how Charlie seems to be a foil to Val, especially when you see the contrast with how Angel interacts with them.

I love the voice acting in this video. Especially Valentino. Valentino sounds so frightening in this and it’s awesome.
Also, I think the reason they're focusing so much on Angel is because hes the first tenant of the hotel. So, knowing his backstory and traumas is helpful in showing how he changes for redemption

This comic does give us a really good bit of insight into Angel: He’s a gangster at heart. He knows the streets, how to make deals and get shit done. And if he gets threatened, he’s ruthless. He could be a force to be reckoned with if he got the chance. He came from a crime family on Earth, and damn if it didn’t show here.

I’ve seen quite a bit of different interpretations of this comic lately, and I must say that this is the most realistic version there is to what I would imagine the real source would be. I’m very impressed with the tone, voices, pacing and just about everything with this comic. Thank you, for doing this piece justice. I believe other people have tried their best to replicate this, and theirs have been “okay” or best “somewhat satisfying” to watch, which I applaud other voice actors for trying, but this has got to take the icing on the cake for me!
Honestly I think hazbin should have stared out as a comic series first than a web show.
Both are great, but the latter tooks much, much more effort and resources, thus making us wait for so much longer. I wanna see more comics too tbh
Vivziepop made an extensive comic series called Zoophobia which she dropped in favor of Hazbin. It might still sorta be in the same "universe," because Hell and demons exist in that story too

I really like the distortion you put on Val's voice. It fits with his theme extremely well, sounding very insect like with that rattle in his voice. Also, it's adds a lot to the atmosphere of his scenes. I hope they use something similar in the official series.

Tbh, it feels good that there were corrections in the typos that I saw from the Hazbin Hotel website of the comic.
Pretty much why I made the corrections to make it easier to follow on screen. As interesting a choice as it was to stylise the dialogue in the original and make it look nice, the comic clearly needed some proof reading before release with the inconsistencies and spelling mistakes.
That talk with angels “boss” was like parents talking to their kid about sneaking out or something.
