As an ex-TWA employee, you had my interest even before you started speaking. As a retired Delta Air Line employee, my advice to you is to “Keep climbing, Bruce!” Greatly appreciate the quality and content of your videos!
Great clarity explained on ADS ,phobic , would love to try , but with a shelf life of 12 months from opening, and only having one car , the bottle should be made in smaller quantities so the product isn’t wasted, maybe ADS should review this?
Great point! I know they mentioned possibly coming out with a smaller bottle in the future. We’ll see, but I definitely understand having a 90 ml bottle. Probably not the right fit for you. Thanks for watching and sharing your suggestion!
Nice one Bruce. Looks like a direct competitor to Gyeon Can Coat which is an excellent product! I'd be interested in trying this one someday, especially as a rim sealant as I like to use high durability products on my rims to make cleaning easier.
Yes, definitely a competitor to Can Coat. PHOBIC is an easy to use coating with good durability as a spray on. I’m all for coating rims as it does make cleaning easy. Thanks for watching.
Thanks so much and glad it was helpful. ADS has stated you can get much longer life of the opened bottle, but the application process may be slightly different (shorter flash, etc). I would simply make sure the sprayer is clean and store away from temperature extremes.
Good questions and answers! Phobic looks good but that sprayer. Next round maybe they ll change it to one like on nasiol metal coat or immortal with the trigger. When I’ve used those I just spray back into the bottle when I’m done and it works fine when I come back to it even a few weeks later. Plus the trigger is easier than that pump style one. Thanks for taking the time for this video Bruce!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Yes, those sprayers are an issue for me (my replacements on the way). I didn’t know there were other sprayer type options. Good suggestion.
We tried that type of sprayer. They are actually worse. They cost more to provide to you, and break just as if not easier. These ones are simple, and not overcomplicated and we can provide them for cheap to replace if they go bad from pushing solvent through them.
I purchased phobic like I told you and I used it and I love it the car came out great. I am going to use it on my car now and I still have a lot left my question is can I reapply it in 6 months to these cars
If did not use spray bottle head and applied into app. sponge with dropper would get same results? or does the chemical action require the aerosolization?
looks good the only catch is 3 months? if you want value for money you can’t beat Nextzen pro 365 which i’m guessing ADS is trying to complete with but pro 365 freezes after any use then lasts foreverish
@@clints8888 I think they are considering a smaller bottle size in the future, which would likely help for the end consumer market. Thank you for taking the time to watch and share your perspective.
Im guessing this is more concentrated then the adams advance spray coating that last 1 year. For the price getting 2 years applying it as a traditional coating its not bad
@@Bruces-Garage ADS said it's safe to use, but manufacterer said it will void the warranty. I'll stick with water-based sealants for now (just applied Apex BC9 Revamp, and in the spring will try Clean. by Pan's ceramic spray)
@TheBreakfastLover I think you’ve done the right thing. You’ve gotten the facts from each vendor and I’d want my PPF warranty to be solid. Good choice and appreciate you sharing as it might help someone else.
Great questions and answers, Bruce! We appreciate you taking the time to clear up some of the confusion around PHOBIC
Any time! Glad to help and I appreciate all of the answers you guys provided.

Next time I'll wear my Delta shirt! I have to rep my fav airlines as well as detailing co's. Don, I was secretly hoping you would notice 🤣
Great follow up Bruce. You answered every question I saw in the live when it premiered.
Thanks, Wes. I tried to make sure I covered everything. Appreciate you watching.
Thanks for the video; I liked how it truly answered a lot of questions I myself had. I absolutely loved the beer references Bruce! 😂
Glad it was helpful! You’re the first to comment on my beer references-I almost cut that out 😂.
This is why I come to Bruce’s Garage - incredibly informative, great follow up!
Thanks, Steve. Appreciate your support 👍🏻
Nice one Bruce, very thorough.
Thanks, Ryan. Appreciate it! 👍🏻
Bruce, thank you for the information on Phobic. 👍💪💯

Glad you like enjoyed it! I went retro with the TWA shirt ✈️
Thank you that was very insightful love your videos

Great informative video Bruce!! Is there anyway to prolong the 3 months viability of Phobic once it’s open?
Thanks so much and glad it was helpful.

I don’t see why not, given you can use as a topper. However, you might want to wait longer as you’ll still have life left.

@@joshuakim-ht9uj Aerosolizing is not a requirement. It is done for speed and convenience - which are key objectives with PHOBIC.

How long can you hold onto an open bottle of phobic
It is stated to be good as new for 3 months. After that it will still work, but flash time will be shorter.
Phobic is petroleum-based, and according to my PPF manufacturer they say to avoid any petroleum-based solvents. Not sure how to proceed.
I’m hoping ADS can provide you with some guidance, but until then I would follow the guidance provided by your PPF manufacturer to be safe.

Trans World Airlines… How old is that shirt? LOL
Haha. Not that old-I bought it online from the TWA hotel at JFK. They sell some memorabilia.
Some great answers on phobic. I would think it would be comparable to adams advanced graphene spray coating. Btw, Cool retro shirt..
Thanks! Appreciate you watching. 👍🏻
Glass?
Yes - but personally I prefer dedicated glass coatings.
Works fantastic on glass. Tested up to 30,000 wiper swipes and still rejecting
Wow. Maybe that’s your new glass coating 👍🏻🤡
@@Bruces-Garage HaHa! Could be, but Glass V2 goes over double that
