Update/Clarification: In the video I stated shelf life was 30 days once opened. ADS has advised the shelf-life of the coating is 6-months. I apologize for any confusion.
Thank you Bruce for taking the time to review the product and showed the performance. Maybe in the near future you can make a short video showing the performance while driving in the rain. 💯💪

Ah, a fellow glass coating enthusiast! It’s like the VIP section of ceramic coatings - not everyone gets in, but those who do know it’s essential! Thanks for watching, Will.
Thanks for the demo Bruce! I just applied this coating today and had a very different experience-I had to scrub the glass with my towels to get the coating to level/wipe off. I tried applying to a few windows to see if that would help but got the same results for wipe off. For reference, I was working outside. It wasn’t particularly breezy, and I wasn’t working in the sun. I wish my application went as smoothly as yours did!
How long after application did you wipe off? From what I am seeing with others, if you wait beyond a minute, the wipe off is tough. You can add some water to the towel during wipe off which will help. However, after reading about this challenge, the general recommendation is to proceed with an immediate wipe off of the product after application. There is no degradation of the coating's performance.
@@Bruces-Garage good to know! Thank you! I tried wiping off immediately after applying and after doing a few windows and met the same results. I tried going over it with my applicator again and that helped a little bit. It seemed like immediately going back over or doing more circles with the applicator made it easier to remove 🤷♂️
@@Bruces-Garage It was! I noticed the slickness immediately, and the hydrophobics were great as well. I went through a full decon before-3pH wash, iron remover & clay and then polished thoroughly with a yellow wool on my DA
I stumped as to why the wipe off was a bit more difficult. Maybe because you were outside? Not sure, but glad you were able to work it and see the value. All of your decon and seems spot on.
@@rcfreak9 absolutely. For me, the most important aspect of any windshield coating is wiper chatter. Would definitely like to see the results with wipers on as they would be in actual rain.

@@Bruces-Garage lmao that’s how i got my bronco sport, i detailed and coated one before i got mine and got to do a “detailers test drive” 😆😆😆 … how’s the fuel mileage and how does it wash? are my questions goin forward when buying new cars
Definitely. I'll check in with the owner of the Bronco who uses it daily. Version 1 has been going strong on my wife's car for about 4 months. If you do a lot of highway driving in rain, it will last because the wind helps pull the water off the windshield. The more you use the wipers, the quicker it will dissipate.
As someone who has multiple versions lol I can tell you it works long past 30 days. You just “might” experience a minimal install difference / adjusted flash time etc.
@armourdetailsupply The website specifically states, “. . .use within 30 days of opening for best application experience.” Shelf life, unopened is 12 months, but I was referencing once it’s opened. That may have been the source of the confusion. DJ later responded you can still use after 30 days of being opened, but experience may be different.

@Bruces-Garage same for me i have m18 battery's just haven't decided to pull the trigger yet , I'm between this and the spta cordless that comes with multiple batteries. I've heard good things about it

Hi Bruce, the thing I find most important to me in a glass coating is the minimum speed you need to be travelling before the rain drops move off the glass. Some that I have tried, you need to be moving at around 80kmh or around 50mph. But I prefer something that starts to work around 50 to 60 kmh or around 30 to 37mph. As most residential areas in Australia have 50 to 60kmh speed limits and hence youre driving a lot a this speed. So a coating should be working at a speed youre travelling at the most. I find Angelwax H2GO works the best at lower speeds. What minimum speeds have you found with this coating? Thx
Excellent point. I’ve found v1 to start working around 40-45 mph. But I haven’t tested v2 on my own car yet. I’ll be applying it and then tell you what I’ve found. Thank you for the thoughtful question.
I just wish these came in smaller bottles. It's such a waste for someone to buy a bottle for their daily driver just to toss it because it's only good for a month
Yeah, it’s 30ml bottle which is small volume. I know ADS has stated it will work past 30 days, but just might have different experience (shorter flash, etc.). But they state 30 day shelf life for the exact same performance as new bottle. I also think the cost is reasonable for one vehicle, if indeed I get 2 years of durability. Thanks for watching and sharing your perspective as I know ADS appreciates the feedback as well.
The before and after demonstrations with the poured water is useless and false if you did the first pour test before all of the preparation. All tests should be done before and after the coating ONLY. I doubt you did this. Coatings on glass are completely unnecessary if the glass is fully cleaned and polished. Tell me what about the glass' cystalline structure makes water want to adhere to it? How does it compare to clear coat?
Take a look at DIY detail recent glass coating video. Yvan was showing after polishing but before coating. The result was pretty much the same as before polishing I.e. it’s basically slowly sheeting off the glass. So I believe bruce’s testing is valid.
