I'm not a horse person but I know pain when I see it. my heart ached to see her struggling so hard to walk but the amazing skill of the farrier gave her back the joy of running and boy was she making the most of it! A job well done by all of you!
This horse's prancing at the end of this ordeal shows me we can't let hooves grow and stop them from enjoying life. Thanks to these good hearted people for her salvation.
I'd like to thank the previous owner for doing the right thing for this horse. He tried to take care of her, realized he couldn't, and was going to end her suffering. Thankfully for her, found someone who could give her the care she needed and he just let her go.
Agree! They could have hid her away or put her down, but gave her a chance to survive. Thank you to the folks over at Rustic Ridge here in Southern Illinois for picking her up and letting us take care of her! She is living her best life on the farm already!

I was at a local auction just a week ago and there was two ponies and a 41/2 month old donkey that looked just like this. My heart ached for them, but unfortunately I couldn't afford to help them. I'm so glad that you all can help this little one ☺️ blessing for all.😊

I don't understand how anyone could let Hope's hooves get so overgrown. I can't imagine how much pain she was in. It is marvelous to see how well she rebounded and enjoys running around as she should.

I felt so horrible when first seeing her. Then in the end she was running, rearing and jumping. My heart just leeps with joy. I've always had a love ❤for horses, but especially the smallest and the largest of them.
Amazing recovery. Lucky the coffin bone hadn't changed. Perfectly timed and a very happy, pain free little horse. (is she a mini or a pony?) A good farrier is worth his weight in gold! (hire a small one! lol )
Sheer joy-- seeing her run and gambol and rear up, after being stuck with those terrible hooves for so long. I hope you feel what you have been able to do for her to bring back her freedom.

(it always hurts to see animals mistreated or abused. hope the people are fined big time and not allowed any pets at all !) thanks for caring about her and taking care of her hooves/feet.
