- Today we're getting started on Greentop Nursery! Let's start rebuilding the main house and give the farmers a little roadside fruit stand!

It's so refreshing watching someone play this without crapping all over the game/game mechanics. I know it can be frustrating when something doesn't go where you want it but you just accept it and move on.

As a long time fallout player these videos are the highlight of my lunchtime. I used to just scrap junk weapons and a small player house but over the last year or so I have devoured settlement build vids. Now I scavenging for ceramic in antique globes or celebrating when I have found a cool vase!. Keep up the good work, the vids are "lovely" 😊
I'd love to see a live event! I'm a big fan. Your voice is very soothing. I sometimes watch, and sometimes just listen while I work or do little chores like paying bills etc.

Some of us can't afford big and fancy mods and these videos show that you can still enjoy the settlement building portion of the games without them. Plus a lovely and beautiful creator to watch is an added bonus!

Greentop fruit is delightful! The rugglitch is often used with a chain of rugs. It is the best way to avoid collision. I often place the rug on an edge. The way it is easy to spot the jump up onto the rug.
I love throwing these on in the background while I work as a motion designer, it's great chill content. Congrats on the growth, looking forward to a live stream soon.

Really excited about this one!!! I have never really spent much time working on these smaller farming settlements because they feel so restrictive, but you've inspired me to give them another shot.

@@IfThenCreate I feel like I'm intruding on their business when I do, so I prefer to leave them alone most of the time.
This looks nice! If you want to hang a sign from the roof without placing a railing or a weapon rack, you can put the sign on any pre-existing wall (the house or the greenhouse both work for this in Greentop) and use the p8illar glitch to pick it up and place it wherever you want. I find it works better with the ball track supports, since they're taller and make it easier to place the sign higher up.

Haven’t even watched yet but honestly this is a difficult spot to build as most existing structures can’t be removed…. And that makes me more excited to see what you do!

I find your videos really soothing to watch and listen to while I'm working with my hands. Currently I'm knitting a jumper for our little elderly rescue dog, in the hopes it'll keep her warm (it's cold season here in Aus) and also comfort her because she's a scared little thing.

Aw it's Greentop. I love Greentop. Very protective of those settlers. They seem to be the target for a lot of reaving by high level Super Mutants and Raiders. Quite difficult to balance their homestead thing with the "don't f with us" amount of turrets they need to keep them off. Everyone has level 5 balistic weave so they look more Little House on the Prairie and less militarised
I agree, they're always under severe attacks, but she will only allow 6-8 survivors to make the settlement look cosy and cute which is unrealistic with such a game.
@@MaryMDoyle I suppose that's the challenge. I've kept the population at 6 too. Part of my gameplay is in keeping the original vibe of a settlement. This one is a small farm, not a castle. That's why I love balistic weave. They can still look like farmers but they've got that folksy firepower Wasteland grit. If only there was a way to make their plasma rifles look like scatterguns:D
Oh, apart from Jamaica plain which is home to my raider settlers who had the great idea to dress up in a patchwork of scavenged synth and metal armour to make them seem scarier. The Boogiemen of Jamaica Plain are close to University Point so they borrow some of the Institute's rep

I love these videos so much. Genuinely some of the best Fallout content and deserves more attention. I'm doing homework for my Calculus III class while I listen!
The older lady settler who comes with this settlement is the same voice actress as Trashcan Carla, that could be why she sounds familiar to you. Also, Preston constantly wanting to have the max affinity convo with you is actually the intended behavior of all "romanceable" companions that you never romanced - I think Bethesda wanted players to always have that option if they wanted to postpone it for RP reasons. There _is_ a way to get them to stop nagging you, though. You have to choose the "mean" dialogue option when it gives you the romance option. For Preston I think it says "keep things professional" lmao

This settlement in my game is CONSTANTLY under attack, this one and Nordhagen Beach 😑 I had to fortify it pretty heavily

Regarding the Preston convo bug - idk if it’s a bug but I would get it all the time too if he was around, even if I wasn’t traveling with him! Eventually I tried going for the romance option (at red) just to try to shut him up and he shot me down 😂 so I reloaded my save and tried again
Honestly, I can’t believe I started liking them either 😅😅
I mentioned pillar glitching a rug into a table for plants before. I forgot plants can already sit on them. That trick does work for things that normally wouldn't sit there in settlement mode (ie: junk items). Bonus: this can prevent them from falling through furniture when you fast travel to the settlement
A word of caution. If you're going to pillar or rug crops it is wise to wait until their fruit is showing. If it's not showing when you move them there is a good chance of creating ghost plants. Interacting with ghost plants can crash your game.
when you get to County Crossing, might I suggest building an Inn/Tavern the location is perfect for that kind of thing.

Hi, I know this is part one and I don’t know what you may do in part 2 but I just wanted to let you know that the mutfruit-bath combo could be done easier! Place the mutfruit in the ground where you want it, place the tub on a rug instead of the fruit, and move the tub via the rug glitch instead.
Also when you hold select to move things freely out of build mode, for me on the Xbox, I can press the sprint button to change the rotation direction of the object.
TheSkooledZone has a whole playlist on this stuff for fallout 4 if you’re open to using glitches and work arounds! ♡

Using the rug glitch is easier if you hold down select and wait for it to select everything in the nearby. The rug and both carrots should be highlighted. Then move it. It’ll be way easier than just relying on things to actually sit ontop of the rug.

Love the idea of a Livestream, may not be able to watch live (UK Timezone) but I will still watch it :P Also, may seem like a random question, do all Americans/Canadians pronounce 'trough' as 'trow'? In UK we say 'Troff' so was a pleasant surprise to hear it pronounced differently.
Most people here in America pronounce it "Troff". I've never heard it pronounced "Trow".
“Trough” is a word I’ve read more often than heard, so it’s entirely possible I’m wrong!

This is one of my least favorite settlements based on the terrain alone. What a nightmare. It looks like you were less annoyed by it and that gave me a few ideas. Thanks!

Will you save a settlement so that, when you finish the main quest, you'll have a place to settle the Institute refugees? I'd like to see how you'd build an Institute themed settlement.
I’M SO GLAD YOU SAID THAT, THAT IS EXACTLY MY PLAN. I’ve tried to trigger that quest for YEARS. I rushed through the main quest in this save to hopefully make it happen, but if it doesn’t, I’ll fake it anyway. Love that idea.
I never know what to do with this settlement and watching this is giving me ideas I usually watch your videos for inspiration and background noise while I play games also I think a live event would be great maybe a Livestream of you trying to build in coastal cottage since that settlement is known for being the worst settlement to build in maybe you could start a twitch or kik cause I would definitely watch your Live Streams also maybe a discord where you can update fans on your build or just talk to fans. (Just some ideas)🎉
I;m working on Starlight City, I know its cliche, but it's one of the most open settlements we have, and I just want it to be a condensed New York esq cityscape.
I'm still watching some of you older videos haven't gotten to this one yet but I can't currently play my game (controller broken waitand I love using candles much like you do. I had a thought for the ashtray I can't try thought you might want to try it. see if you can put candles on the ashtray. then you could use those ashtrays like tiki torches or floor lamps if you can't then maybe try putting candles on single post for the same use! I don't know about you but i'm always looking for ways to light things up more!

Not sure yet! Maybe playing through quests, maybe Minecraft builds. I’m working on a new game of my own now, so maybe by then I’ll be able to do playthroughs of that too 🤭

Nice, my settlements are pretty much all one huge 3 stories building, first one for merchants, second one for beds (and by beds I mean sleeping bags), the third one for my bed and crafting stations, and missile turrets all around the roof, no decorations whatsoever, no furniture, nothing beside the basic needs, probably how Spartans lived...
for me its in the background during my work as a PHP/Laravel back-end developer and I would love a live stream, not sure if I can make it though

Oh and heres my house I hand crafted, after a 8 day long play though. at the end of the game I built my character a house I felt she deserved. I did use mods, but hey to each their own. Right? I built this house behind vault 111 because the FPS is so great there.

I have downloaded my first Mods since I started playing when it first came out. I've just been testing out Scrap almost everything, which is interesting.
I am cheating with clothing at the moment. All my settlers are wearing Tuxedos (player.additem fc395 1) and formal hats (player.additem fc396 1) apart from the Vault 88 dwellers who are all wearing clean, yellow vault suits from another small Mod.
I watch you videos in segments when I take a break from playing myself. I have been known to pause and then nip into a settlement to add one of your ideas.

i play fallout 4 on my ps4 and watch ur videos on my phone! i’m doing my first commited railroad playthrough and i kind of underestimated how cool they are before ever actually joining them (don’t worry bestie, i’m a fellow minuteman general for life 😂🫡) OMG AS I WAS TYPING ALMOST 10K SUBS?!?!?!? GIRL I FEEL LIKE IT WAS JUST YESTERDAY I FOUND YOUR FIRST EVER SETTLEMENT BUILD VIDEO BY ACCIDENT AND I WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE A FEMME GAMER PLAYING ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAMES EVER *AND* SETTLEMENT BUILDING WITH THE MINUTEMEN ‼️‼️ (with lore too, like i swear we are the same person in this game 😭) i absolutely love your videos and you have definitely become one of my favorite creators on here. you’ve taught me things about settlement building that i had no idea about previously and i have become SOOO much more happy with my own builds by taking your advice and watching different techniques you use throughout your various builds 🥰 but again, absolutely HUGE congratulations on almost hitting 10k, you deserve literally 1000000000x more than that but i have no doubt the people will continue to find you more and more 🤭 so much love to you, bestie and blessed be! 🧿🤍
