Struggling with clipping logic and asking myself "why do I like this game?" is the most relatable thing I've seen in a long time. Great build, I loved watching this!
Yea, it definitely shows that they originally didn't even intend to make settlement building an actual thing. Did you know tho' that you can make objects touch a doormat or other types of rugs and then you can hold E to move the entire thing together with the doormat. It makes it much easier to fit in things that normally don't wanna clip together or are generally being a pain to put on the spot you want.
You popped up as a recommended video. This has been so relaxing to watching and listen while I'm at work and you've also given me inspiration on how to go about touching up my settlements and making them actually feel homey and not just plop a store here, food and turrets. Thank you! Keep this up!
After so many mitten squad videos (rip) and nerbit challenge runs it’s nice to just sit back from time to time and build a settlement that desperately needed it
I actually love this, it reminds me of how I used to build homes in the sims games, but doing it in fallout 4 just adds a whole new feel, turning the wasteland into something beautiful again is so cool
If there's an apocalypse, I hope I'm in your settlement. You're gonna spoil your settlers making it too nice, but... It's nice to watch you make the wasteland classy! 👍
At 1:12:00 A tip with mixing Scaffolding is that the scaffolding floors will snap to small floor pieces from other sets (either 1x1 or 1x2) pieces found in the concrete, barn or warehouse floor sets however they do not snap to the full size floor pieces so you sometimes need to snap a small floor alongside to then be able to place a scaffolding floor in line with a large floor piece.

I build out one after another in the Northwest and gradually expand. Oberland and Taffington are my first two where I break out of that core area. Your build video was enjoyable and relaxing. Thanks for sharing, and I hope you do more!
I'm about 2 days into my very first play through and I'm doing the same. I have Sanctuary, Ten Pines, Oberland and Sunshine Tidings going right now and watching these videos has really inspired me. I love how you build! It feels immersive. After i have been playing fallout 76 all these years, its way too hard for me to go back and build in 4 just because of the build menu set up but i still love watching others build. It helps to give my own creativity a stir.
I’m not going to lie, I’ve been using this video as a sleeping aid. You are so peaceful and gentle throughout the process and I love it! Please do more settlement builds soon!
I love that you're playing without mods. I tried very hard to do that recently and Oberland is the exact point that I gave up. The clipping there is so inexplicably frustrating that I was resorting to rug-tricking everything into place so I just bit the bullet and threw in a place anywhere mod. Entirely because of Oberland. Your persistence is very impressive, and the result was worth all the frustration.

I like your style of video, the narration and voicing your thought process with each design element, seeing everything snap together is very satisfying. And I that you're making your own lore for your settlements and the people who live there. I'd love to see you tackle a settlement with a larger area like the Nuka-World Red Rocket or Taftington Boathouse to see what you'd do with the water element the reservoir provides.
You think Preston on the roof is bad? Imagine how confused I was when Jun discovered levitation in my game 💀 dude decided that he was to tired to walk, so he floated to bed 😂
So i enjoyed the creativity and watching you build. Building in this game is one of my favorite parts, but sometimes i lack the creativity. I did enjoy your comment when you were having issues stating, "why do i like this game again?" I say that to myself all the time. There are tons of creators who show you how to use Bathesda's system to your advantage to create without mods. I love mods and all, but I hate having to rely on them. One of my favorite builders is Skooled Zone. His building abilities to work with the system provided in settlements is amazing. Combine the no mods building with your creativity it would bring you to a whole new level. Thanks for the build ideas.
I thought for sure "fallout 4 oberland build" would've turned up nothing useful but look at this! wonderful work, and immediately made me regret sending one of the ladies out to provision... whoops i never understood the shack wall stuff until watching you do it, i like the mix of those + standard walls. and the decorating is wonderful; i need to reassess my "make a prefab and stuff it with beds" approach
Great build! I never know what to do with Oberland Station. And I agree, the post-apocalyptic world needs crafters! But you do what you have to do until you have relative security and other basic needs met (e.g. Diamond City), and then the crafter can thrive.
My favorite thing to add to this settlement is some boxcars and repurpose them into small homes, and even make one into a little office space for a Minuteman who stays on watch and operates artillery. I keep the settlement rather small, with only 5 settlers at most.
Good stuff. I like how you made it cozy. I very rarely get cozy right but, barracks and military-styled stuff I do well. I'm at 16 posted settlements, 4 of them being Brotherhood (1 Ghoul, 1 Railroad, 2 Unaffiliated, 8 Minutemen).

I’m really impressed. You created something great with the fallouts limited building function 😂 I enjoyed watching. Thank you for sharing.
i like this! i got your video in my recommended after watching other settlement builds in fo4.
Something to try that I tried and fell in love with is using the wire fence with picket fence posts.
Loved the peaceful build in one of my favorite games. Thanks, and keep up the good work.
I would definitely be down to watch a full relaxing fallout 4 play through
Just two women living there. Just the girls. Just roommates surviving the Commonwealth together.
Gals being pals!
This came together so nicely! Just subbed when I saw you've done some other settlement builds, can't wait to see more ^^
This is so awesome. Fallout has shown me have zero stills when it comes to structural design. So nice to get some ideas.
I thought for sure "fallout 4 oberland build" would've turned up nothing useful but look at this! wonderful work, and immediately made me regret sending one of the ladies out to provision... whoops
i never understood the shack wall stuff until watching you do it, i like the mix of those + standard walls. and the decorating is wonderful; i need to reassess my "make a prefab and stuff it with beds" approach
I’m so happy to have found your channel! I recently started playing again and I’m really into settlement building now :) learning so much from you
Great build! I never know what to do with Oberland Station. And I agree, the post-apocalyptic world needs crafters! But you do what you have to do until you have relative security and other basic needs met (e.g. Diamond City), and then the crafter can thrive.
Maybe it's because I really like Metro, but I like it when rooms are small and crowded.
My favorite thing to add to this settlement is some boxcars and repurpose them into small homes, and even make one into a little office space for a Minuteman who stays on watch and operates artillery. I keep the settlement rather small, with only 5 settlers at most.
Oo boxcars would be so cute here!
Oh wow, just came across you and I have to say, you have the most soothing voice! Thank you
Immersion is the ultimate endgame of the true gamer.
Good stuff. I like how you made it cozy. I very rarely get cozy right but, barracks and military-styled stuff I do well. I'm at 16 posted settlements, 4 of them being Brotherhood (1 Ghoul, 1 Railroad, 2 Unaffiliated, 8 Minutemen).
