I'm sure you figured this out, but the difference in those posters is that the first half need to be directly wired and are brighter, but the second half just need a conduit nearby for the lamp on the top. Also, I thought of you yesterday when I found out you can put the candles and lanterns directly inside the snake plant. The effect is LOVELY. Highly recommend!

I'm not really good at building the structures, so I've learned a lot about that from you. I love how you give each settler a backstory and apply that to the interior design! Please keep making these videos for the settlements. Hopefully, you will hit 10k subscribers soon!
In between your last episode and this one I watched someone's old build videos ( they were from 8 years ago i think) and in them they used the doorway piece and then at the bottom they would put one of those small fence/railing pieces the ones you use on your patios they actually snapped right into the doorway and made for quite nice windows. both the metal and wood doorway worked.
I love the detailed builds and the settler lore you create and the belongings you provide for them. It's so relaxing and very entertaining to watch. I think a possible future live stream would be awesome and I hope it comes to fruition. Great to see the channel growing. 👍.
FYI, the long wood ladders snap to each other AND they will clip into the ground. If you need to extend one a bit, you can just snap a second ladder to the bottom of it.
Take your time, its just fun to watch the struggle and to know I am not alone.. You have shown me I do not need to swear at the game to make building work. Thanks for that.
just FYI those wood and metal pillars in the barn and warehouse build sets are stackable I use them often to add support to floating decks, porches, and stairs
Might want to give Manic Pixie Dream Girl some form of lighting...otherwise, her apartment will be super dark at night. I thought maybe she could use that television for "white noise" when she's sleeping...
I am completely obsessed with the idea of her sourcing a genuine vintage Radiation King television just for white noise. That’s fantastic manic pixie dream girl energy.
Would be really fun to see what you would do with croup manor. It can be tricky but it's such a nice place for a settlement after the roofs/walls are repaired.
You can use a rug with a pillar to make a sort of forklift. Sometimes the item still floats above a surface but it will gently fall into place when you remove the rug/mat.
Love your videos! I tried getting back into FO4 for the settlement building unmodded, but I unfortunately went down the dark path and now have close to 40 mods installed, lol. Love taking inspiration from your videos and listening while I play (especially for scrap runs). I also agree with other commenters, a livestream like on Twitch or TH-cam would be awesome! just a tipp in case you desperately want to snap things like walls in the middle of a building and you are open to use console comands: open the console tipe in "tcl" press enter and you are in noclip mode. the handy thing about this mode is that everything you place in this mode is somehow not exsitent for the game until you deaktivate this mode with "tcl" again. so if you placed something go into noclip mode select the peace that is in the way and just releace it again so it will go to the original place but for the game the peace is gone and you can snap a wall at the other peace and after deactivating everything wil be normal again and is in place like you want. I hope my explainatio was good enought so you understand what I want to tell because englisch is not my motherlanguage 😅
Just a little tip but if you put the floor and then one wall and one roof piece the flat walls will snap to the roof on top of floor and then build out around it that's what I do to get like apartment building going
Loving this build! Curious, have you tried the Mod sim settlements 2 for fallout? It’s a couple years old now but I just found it, if you love building settlements it’s amazing. And it has its own quest lines. I have been playing through and I’m having way more fun then I ever did with vanilla fallout.
If you do ever consider mods you should get “scrap that settlement” it makes almost every item scrapable and is really useful for settlements like these when there are little things that get in the way or you just need more space for building :)
So I'm still pretty new to this game...so once you find a magazine you just get that perk and you can just display it somewhere and don't lose the perk???
Fallout 4 is my favorite, but Fallout 3 holds a special place in my heart because of the DC metro! I use that metro in real life every day. Truly, Bethesda nailed the design.
When you start to use mods, I recommend you use creative clutter mod, it is very good with decorations, you should also try out sim settlements 2, as it creates an entire story to play through while allowing you to have people build their own homes, along with America rising 2 that includes a new part of the story.

It also depends on how many settlers you have as to how many outhouses you build. I put quite a few in bigger settlements.

Being unable to snap a dividing wall on a continuous floor (to create rooms inside an house) is so frustrating...
You can do that with the barn and warehouse set with some snapping trickery.
