@Ghynghyn 0:08 Is this how You have Your Guardian traited when tanking ??? I'm curious as if it is, I might try it. I'm still hoping for a video of Your guardian build, like trait trees, virtues, Li's, Gear, essences etc. Maybe one build for tanking with shield and one build for dps soloing ??? Not sure, maybe You only tank and never use any dps build. It's a pain building 2 set-ups of Li's for 2 builds. I have now gotten 2 teal agility earrings after watching Your other video. :)
Yes, this is my current tank trait build. A guardian guide video is on the agenda, but it's a lot of work so it might take a little while :) The agility earrings are very good for tanking :) As for dps, I do have a belt and a two handed sword that I use for redline, but it is not something I have put a lot of effort into.
Thanks for these tips Ghyn! I was wondering about the Guardians Ward bit... you give the tip to use the two legacies on your belt to enhance that; but is it worth that for tanking with guard? I also hear about this setup for belt: - shield smash damage - shield damage - stoic bubble strength - force taunt duration - catch a breath cooldown - warrior's heart/fortitude - guardian's pledge magnitude Maybe this is more about dmg = better holding aggro? As it differs from your setup, that gives more defences? Would love to know your thoughts :-)
The setup you provided is certainly viable, but personally I prefer the extra block and parry over a bit more shield damage and the stoic bubble strength.
Hi Ghyn, thanks for this guide. What are your thoughts on tanking in yellow line? I have been playing my guard a lot recently, and I have found tanking in yellow to be fairly easy. Does it become less effective at a higher level? For runs like GB, Fornost etc as I have been levelling it has been fun!
Hello, Ghyn! Cool videos, as always! Thank you for you content! I've heard there is a way to use animation cutting immediate skills or something like that to use Jaggernaut so it activates but doesn't go on cooldown. I understand, its mechanic that doesn't work as intended, but what is the sequence? Have you ever heard about it?
I am not exactly sure how you do that to be honest, I've heard about it too. I know some skills if you time it perfectly while enemies stun you, like cappy banner won't go on cooldown.- If that works with juggernaut, I'm not sure about.
@@ghynghyn4706 yeah, works with cappy banner with stun. Im not sure about guardian's jaggernaut, all i've got it this post www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?667280-Juggernaut-exploit
For tanking its all about hitting the mobs with your warchant and shield skills and aoe attacks and also using taunts in a smart manner. It's something you just need to practice.
Both are strong and very much wanted for endgame. Guardian is more of a in the action maintank, while you can play captain as a very strong off tank with important roles in a group. Captain can also be played in red for a buffing line. I would suggest guardian though, as it's a bit more action-packed!
@@ghynghyn4706 ty for fast answer. but need practical show up. Cuz tried it a lot - its useless.... ( dont see the differnce). Solo bosses are easy when RK + beorn are healing you....
I think for a blue line guardian the +5% incoming healing is much better. Any +% stat is useful as it will add to your stats when you go over cap with regular numbers.
@@ghynghyn4706 with new anvil set its possible to get back to this theory. combine bop+mits+finesse+ inc hal maybe. For boxes items and 3/6 man loot - 5% is nothing... on my point of view
@@КонстантинЧетвертков Yeah it's debatable, I think insult to injury don't really give any benefits for a blue guardian, so I'd rather have a minimul boost to incoming healing. What benefit to you see in insult to injury? I admit I have never used this trait in blue before.

Darn, I play on European server. Seems most TH-camrs play on US servers. Except for Stine. Oh well.
@@HolyOrderofDragons I have a lot of friends from the US, so it suits me better this way.
Thank you. Two guys in my group play Guardians. This was very useful.
Any chance you could do an updated version for all the specs? but for me id be most interested in yellow :)
There are some screenshots on my discord server that should be pretty up to date.

I've tried out yellow line and while it is certainly viable, I just find that blue gives more survivability.

How do you pop out the belt info panel without it being in a chat box? I have seen people do it but have no idea that button combination
Open character panel-> Hover over belt-> Press H . This will open a temporary window for it.
@@ghynghyn4706 Thank you! Is it the same for highlighting and popping out the hp bars of mobs?

Well the way that I trait I need the points in it to get down to juggernaut anyways, so the answer would be yes :)

Is it worth it to cash out fortifications with Litany of Defiance or nah?
Sometimes litany can be useful to use, almost like a mini shield wall for your entire fellowship.
Ghynghyn Ty!
what you think wich class is better guardian or warden?
Guardian for tanking. Warden for dps.
and improving redirect ability to max for what ?;D for additional solo target aggro ?
You absorb more damage= You take less damage

isnt it better to use insult to injury instead of 5% inc healing . Basically if healer is good - those 5 % become useless....
