How do you know that the Coinbase Wallet app is not sharing the seed phrase with the creator (Coinbase)? Isn't that a trust issue? I don't see any TH-camr addressing this issue. Everyone is only repeating the same message "Coinbase does not have your seed phrase." Yeah, but how do you know for sure that there app is not sending it back to them after your create your account on the app? If you have so must of trust on them, then you might as well keep the crypto on their exchange (if that's where it was before you took it into self-custody).
Bro we DONT know. We know that the wallet and the user agreement is all we need. So even if your panicky thoughts came about of Coinbase wallet “secretly” having your seed phrases. Most likely they do bro, and if they touch it or anything you’ll be able to sue them for even more money. So they might have it but they ain’t gon do anything with it

I’m afraid that jf if I put some of my crypto on coinbase wallet, coinbase might decide that it “doesn’t want to support that asset anymore”. Is this something to worry about?
They already did it with coins such as XRP, Bitcoin Cash, XLM, and Ethereum Classic and as long as users had their seed phrases, they can access the coins on another wallet such as Trust Wallet.
They froze my account and made it near enough impossible to get it back and if I called before they decided it would be pushed back 30 days absolute scam artist I saw the good reviews on Google had my problem and saw hundreds of people complaining they're money was withheld don't trust them
No, the 12 words ARE the wallet. Not the software. You van always switch to a other waller with your words. ✌🏻

Coinbase Wallet is a hot wallet that is always connected to internet and on phone/computer that is susceptible to attacks. Tangem and One Key are cold wallets that are not connected to the internet and are generally more secure.

Coinbase Wallet removed support for XRP, but it's still there. To retrieve your XRP, you can use Trust Wallet.
Download Trust Wallet, select "I already have a wallet", then enter the seed phrase.

the coinbase wallet app could technically be removed from the app store, but as long as the user has the seed phrase, they can restore their crypto on a new wallet.

Dont matter. Your 12 seed words are your wallet. Thats it. Your can always switch to a other wallet with the 12 words and your funds will be there. ✌🏻

Unfortunately, without the seed phrase, you won’t be able to recover the wallet. Exchange vs wallet comes down to if a person wants to trust a 3rd party to secure their crypto vs a person that wants to take 100% control along with the risks.

Coinbase wallet is a pos. Mine doesn’t even have a cashout button.
It’s a self custody wallet. Self custody wallets don’t have cash out buttons. They are decentralized wallets that only hold crypto. You need to send crypto to a centralized exchange such as Coinbase or Kraken etc. to cash out.
And if the app (wallet) doesn’t work or stop to exist ?
you can then use the seed phrase on another wallet (for example Trust wallet)
Can I use the same seed phrase from my Coinbase in to Robinhood wallet for example?

So what if Coinbase goes bankrupt? How will the Coinbase wallet be affected?
No it won't. Coinbase wallet has no link to the exchange (company). Only the one who has control over the seedphrase can controls the wallet. Coinbase exchange does not have your seed (afaik). If you want to play it 100% safe. Invest in a coldwallet and transfer everything to it. You also have free coldwallets btw (paperwallets) however I recommend using a ledger (60$) or trezor.
The worst case scenario would be Coinbase going bankrupt and the Coinbase Wallet app getting removed from App store. If that happened, as long as you secure the 12 word seed phrase, your crypto is safe and you can restore it on a new wallet (trust wallet, metamask, ledger etc.).
