    If you already have tasks grouped by projects in folders, would using this time blocking system involve creating copies of the tasks you have in existing lists?

      Nope! I would recommended using the "tasks in multiple lists" function to add them to your time blocking list.

    Hey, thanks for the video! I created a weekly time-block list on Clickup and followed the same strategy like you. I created for example one entry for "Check Emails" monday 8-9am. I configured it to be repeated every week but for some reason in the calendar view I do not see this entry for all upcoming monday, just for the one entry where it happens first. Any recommendation on how to fix this or is this a bug that needs to be fixed by clickup?
    Thanks in advance

      There is a setting in Calendar View that you need to turn on called "show future recurring tasks" that should do the trick :)

    The most interesting video I saw on this topic, thanks... as it could also be done in Airtable.
    Unfortunaly, Clickup sucks at timeblocking, as it doesn't handle the Google calendar(s), just display it in a separate, passive way, pretty useless.
    It would be much more convenient to drag tasks on the calendar, link appointments to tasks, lists, etc..
    I'm currently giving a try to Clickup, but I'm very disappointed because of this lack of proper calendar planning, and may ditch it.

      Yes, this method can definitely be done in other platforms too! I hear you on that about the Google Calendar integration. I know they are actively working on updating this feature, so fingers crossed it rolls out updates sooner rather than later 🤞🏼. Also, here is the current thread where people are submitting feature requests for this: clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/google-calendar-v2-ideas this is a website where you can submit feature requests and updates to ClickUp and see what they are actively working on. It's pretty cool!

      @@DaSilvaLife, sadly I have to look for another tool just because of this missing feature, otherwise it'd be ideal tool for me

      @@acidas totally understand. If a tool doesn't have a feature that is super important to you, it is best to find one that does. Systems are not one size fits all.

      @@DaSilvaLife, that's the problem, I like everything else about ClickUp, just this neat feature is missing. I've tried other tools, but none of them is so cool as this one

    How to make these all views: Day, Week, Currently Working On It be connected? It's dumb to pull tasks i.e. in a week view and the y would be changed by themselves in a day view. I thing the only thing needed here is to make this weekly view custom field as a date-like format, but then ClickUp should understand which day is which day of week and associate it with it.
    Is it possible to do it with automations maybe?

      @DaSilvaLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      To each their own right?👍🏼 I like to show different methods for people to see, but whether you use them all is up to you. If you like to see only week view and not daily view, awesome! You can't make an automation to add a Weekly Custom Field based on what date is selected. At least currently you cannot.

    Too complicated approach

      It's definitely not for everyone! But I know many people it has helped. Good news is, ClickUp is not one size fits all and we can all do things differently :)
