    I have been thinking the IRT BCC 60 head for shop and video demos when we open shop at the end of the year. The Studio Rats video has really made me think it may be what we need. So many Fantastic videos.

    I bought this instantly without even testing. It's amazing. I love it. I can't wait till my band gets some more shows in and I can afford the 4x12 FRFR. I just got my first FRFR, the headrush FRFR112

    • @LaneyAmplification
      @LaneyAmplification  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      our LFR-112 weighs more than the Headrush, but it's also a Wooden Cabinet and the tone really shines through. That or an LFR-212 could be a way to go until you're ready for an LFR-412. Just saying.

    • @jackbootshamangaming4541
      @jackbootshamangaming4541 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LaneyAmplification that's very true, I'm going to to look into the LFR-212. I love the headrush, but id love to have a more guitar like cab. The 412 is something I'd love for my band. But my lead guitarist runs his Soldano and ToneX through the Soldano 2x12, I'll def blow him away unless he upgrades once I can get that 412.

    I'd LOVE to borrow one to make a vid testing it against the plugin...same guitar, same impulse response, everything the same for both, in a mix and stand alone...only difference is amp or plugin. Would be REALLY cool to see if you all nailed it!!

    I see both 2x12 and 4x12 cabs that can handle the wattage of these heads, I like the smaller, but I feel like ppl wouldn't lug around 4 if 2 can cut it, IS a 2 speaker cab paired with these heads going to be able to keep up with a bass and drums in a 24ft basement?

      Our Laney GS212IE 2×12 cabinet should work great for you. We recommend you to test one out at your local Laney dealer.

    Hey Laney, can we get a Supergroup version of the Loudpedal, Leadtop, and Dualtop? Like, not just aestheticly, but tonewise as well?

    • @LaneyAmplification
      @LaneyAmplification  ปีที่แล้ว

      As our Product Manager famously says, "nothing is impossible". We did however release the LA-STUDIO which is a 3watt version of the LA30BL & LA100BL and that delivers the Supergroup tone beautifully at a fraction on the volume. Plus it has a Two Notes Torpedo built in. It's a perfect Studio Recording amp and can be used Live too.

      That Red Knob represents an all new boost plus there is also a newly built gain stage in this amplifier. Plus it is made in the UK now in our Black Country Customs factory.

      @@LaneyAmplification Since the block diagrams are the same between the old and new manuals, means the gain structure is the same, just revoiced? Or is there an extra gain stage over the original Ironhearts?

      I quite agree. I hear so many good things about the Ironheart 60W. But I worry about it's weight, whether it's too loud for pubs, and the DI out to the PA. Our singer demands it. It's something that doesn't seem to be mentioned. It's stopping me from buying.

      @@LaneyAmplification Question! Is the difference in tone between the pulled and pushed midrange and bass knobs very subtle? The Treble difference is very noticeable and in my face. But so far I’m not noticing much of a difference with the midrange and bass knobs pulled. Can’t tell if it’s just Very subtle or if my ears are playing a trick on me.

    The plugin itself is not bad, but I am no fan of the typical Laney Ironheart sound. Had an IRT Pulse, an IRF pedal and a IRT Studio, but they all disappointed me sonically.
    A Marshall or Orange sounds much better to me, especially, as they react much better to attack and create much more intense harmonics, while the typical Laney sound simply is too overcompressed, lifeless and boring to me.
    For these sounds I could as well use a distortion pedal, which I never do, but from an all tube amp I expect much better, more vivid, more dynamically reacting sounds.

    • @LaneyAmplification
      @LaneyAmplification  ปีที่แล้ว

      As we've said to both for and against comments over time, that's why there is such an array of choice out there. Hopefully if you get a chance to try one of the new BCC-Ironheart amps you'll find something more to your liking in there.

    • @Faydit212
      @Faydit212 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LaneyAmplification This plugin anyway seems to be based on the new BCC amps.
      But the plugin itself sounds very thin and sythetic for my taste, not really a tube amp sound, which I like, unbalanced and also is one of the noisiest contemporary amp plugins, which I have heard during the last years. State-of-the-art is something different in my opinion. Even my favorite Rectifier and 5150 plugins work more noiseless.
      Maybe Laney better had collaborated with Brainworx or Softube instead of Aurora DSP, then the plugin certainly had sounded much better and more authentically.
      A lot of great features, no doubt (especially the seamless power scaling, which one of my favorite amps also offer), but I am not happy with Boost (not neutral enough for my taste, so I always have to readjust tone controls for activated or deactivated boost, which hardly is possible live).
      Less happy I am with Tone. In principle a good idea, but the adjustment range does not work for me. Decent adjustments hardly are possible, so I have the choice between too dull and muddy or too shrill and scratchy sounding tones, while middle position simply sounds too flat and too boring for my taste. Works better with Lead, but as it is, not so good with Clean/Rhythm tones in my opinion. A regular Presence control or a Cut control I can turn to zero, if I do not like the results, but here I cannot decativate anything or at least reduce intensity, as it is at the moment. From rain into the eaves is not really a pleasing choice for me.
      If these features still are improved, Boost maybe with an option to choose between full range and treble boost or a frequency control and Tone with some better fine tuning options, this amp could become excellent.
      The direction is right, I would say. So maybe the next generation could become interesting for me. Maybe, but certainly not this version.
