Ironheart is extremally versitile and I got the felling that it's biggest sin is the fact that it's not priced as a boutiqe amplifier and thus it's massivelly underrated as people are judging with the pricetag. I tested it over my chanell as well and it djent's with drop G baritone like it was a 500€ plugin of a 10k€ amplifier. Cool in-depth video Fluff!
I actually GOT my Ironheart because of how it was priced. I bought it for 666 euro new (for real). Well, not really lol. I wanted one anyway. Still \m/ New ones are made in the UK. 60W being around £1,099.00, 120W around £1,299.00 (based on Andertons pricing). So, still relatively cheap and like you said, it will likely be underrated by many.
Before I clicked on the vid I thought: "hey, that's KsE's old amp" and I was pleasantly surprised Killswitch was name dropped from the get-go. I remember a few years back looking for an amp sim to this amp, hoping I would get the perfect KsE tone and I couldn't find it. Last time I checked though, they now favor the Tommy Iommi signature model. I'd be happy if they made an ampsim version of that.
You didn't feature the push pull knobs for the eq section on the plug in. Not sure if it's on the plug in but really shapes the tone. For the price, I think the amp was a great bargain and not given enough consideration by many.
These amps are really cool. But, I LOVE the gh50/100s and the VH100r. Idk if they even still make those but those amps are killer. I very much regret getting rid of mine. I kind of hope they make a plug-in version of those either of those.
I have had IRT-Studio for many years, haven't used in atleast 5 tho because the sound just died off one day....probably the tubes. Shame, I really should get it back into working order
Hey man, Just heads up for anyone reading this. I was using the Ironheart plugin fine until one day, it up and deactivated my license for no good reason. Reactivating and reinstalling failed also, so I don't recommend buying this until that problem is resolved. It cost me 40 US dollars, so I'm not just bringing this up to stir the pot. Cheers
If I try to remain being polite, I said, the plugin sounds exactly (as bad and wrong) as the real amp... Already had some Ironheart gear, but these amps are not at all my sound. I do not like the general sound, I do not the not really very neutral boost, I do not like the Dynamics/Tone controls, which in my opinion are a complete fail-design. Marshall or Orange amps do a better job for me.
@@kingpriapatius5832yeah buddy I don't think so, most metal bands nowadays use either amp sims or amp modelers, and they've come a long way as to be basically indistinguishable.
@@sorlak_12Any arguments to prove your point? Most metal bands that have a killer tone still use real amps and cabs. Metallica, Slipknot, Korn, Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Machine Head, Decapitated etc, they record with real amps.
The IronHeart is my favorite amp. I wish I never had to sell mine. The rhythm channel is next level for tight riffing!
Thanks for taking the time to go through some of these features. Rock on!

Im glad I bought it, I was regretting my purchase before I watched this video, but I see now it is incredibly versatile
The Ironheart has been my main amp for 10 years. I absolutely love it, and this plugin sounds like a pretty good recreation!
Very nice riffs in the middle there! Love the sound of this.
Fluff always sounds great. Good to see you doing well after surgery. Keep it up bud !!
Awesome! Man Laney is great, Iommi and Gilbert are legends, I always loved Laney Amps! It's nice to finally have a plugin!
Got the t 14-day trial...very cool plug-in. For $50, you really can't go wrong.
It does indeed sound like an Ironheart. Nice!
YES I have this amp Im so glad to see a VST now!!
Cool plugin, sounds good. Now your going to need to get some Laney amps on the channel to demo. Also, some Engl.
Great video, thank you for meticulously explaining all of it!
Wow, that’s a cool amp! I gotta try this sim, for sure!

Finally a plugin that I can compare with an amp I actually own, sick.
The amp sim could even be your backup if your actual Laney decided to shit out on you.
Would be cool to see a review of the Ironheart foundry amps. Pretty affordable solid state versions, seem pretty nice from reviews so far!
Disarm The Descent was recorded with the Ironheart I believe
Yep

I have been waiting for years for Neural to do an archetype Dutkiewicz but for now this Aurora one seems like the closest I'm gonna get lol
Thank you for the video, although the swaying footage of the UI made me feel a little like I had a concussion.
What is the band on your shirt? Or is that a Lauten audio shirt?
hello would you recommend this plugin with P90 pickups?

Try swapping out pre-amp tubes one at a time.
Think Opeth used ironhearts for a bit in the old days.
Not true, they used GH100L (Mikael, D/D and Ghost Reveries) and VH100R (Peter, BWP).
@@lordgraga ah, that’s right. Thanks for clarifying.
Delicious.

Did you contact customer support with your issue or has it resolved itself with an update?
Seems like an easy fix to me.
No free trial. That sucks. ☹️
ofc there is 14 days Trial, you must just scroll page down :)
It rocks, but it doesn't chug.
Plug-in test with a room mic? Really?
First!!
I have 10 tube amps and zero plug-ins. I am perfectly happy. thank you.
Then why did you watch?
The only way to have a great tone is a real amp. Plugins are dead and useless.
@@kingpriapatius5832 this isn't 2005, plug-ins have come a very long way. It's indistinguishable in a mix

I tried it, no thanks. Definitely not worth $50.00.
Nobody calls you Plug-In.
I unsubscribed because you didn't put my ridiculous Reverb ad on your RRL show and you had several months. Women use the word 'fluff' to mean a fart.
Being British I can tell you this...Laney are shit amps so this is hilarious
Sounds like a plugin: dead, boring, non functional. Any band that has a killer tone uses real amps and cabs.
Yeah you can definitely tell the difference in a mix 🤣
@@robertfrippersIf you have experience, of course.
