    Oh my gosh!! 😢 my heart is breaking. I felt like I was the same way when I tried lion diet, and it was the idea of being without butter 🧈 was what crushed me. I still haven't pulled the trigger. I've been enjoying the hot water and salt during the day. I quit coffee at the 2 month mark (which I think I told you!) Haha, the hot water is really helpful. I completely understand the losing control of the anger with the kids. I am getting really fast at saying, "I am angry. I need to breathe and walk away for a bit." So that's great-- much better response instead of exploding 💣

    You're doing great, Neah! Any dairy, including butter, always causes acne for me. It usually takes about 2 weeks for it to clear out of my system. The lower energy may be due to nutrient deficiency. I am exploring this as well for me. Even though the foods we eat are high in nutrients, our systems seem to take much longer to heal up and become optimal. I am trying to supplement with Perfect Aminos to see if I can get things to heal up faster. I have an autoimmune condition and apparently, that plays a huge role in nutrient absorption. Also, high histamine foods can affect the skin. If your bone broth was prepared for many hours, that can increase histamine. If you are eating meat that has been prepared and sitting in the fridge for a couple days+ that increases the histamine too. Sweet cream butter that isn't cultured is also the lowest histamine butter you can get. Sorry for the long comment, just throwing out some things to ponder. Much love!

    I can't eat butter, is the sugar from the lactose. But I make Ghee and no problem at all! You just put a couple of sticks in a pan, bring it to a boil and in about 12 minutes you get wonderful ghee. You just get rid of the lactose. You'll see how the white lactose disappear and become yellow. Super healthy and cheap Ghee

    You can try stopping butter, but I also recall you saying you ate kerrygold. Salted or unsalted? Unfortunately, the unsalted kerrygolds sneakily added skim milk to their ingredients probably a yr or 2 ago. Does it matter, i don't know. I still eat their salted butter but I switched to vital farms butter which I think tastes fresher. Best of luck!

    I've had the same issues with BM on carnivore, fun choice of music during that section of your talk! LOL Several days between and hard to pass though I found it easier when I increased the amount of fat I was eating. I found that when I bought and rendered beef fat and added that to my steak or ground beef it helped a lot.
    Do you think some of the symptoms of feeling run down and crummy as well as the sorosis could be detox/oxalate dumping? Do you use anything for your sorosis? I use hydrocortisone butyrate for my outbreaks, which are pretty rare but man, when it happens I have to get on top of it quick or it spreads fast.

    @Papacarnivore15 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    Keep the fat content up Neah. Fat will provide you energy and heal your body, specifically your skin and gut issues.
    Also, the issues you are having with your skin is likely “oxylate dumping” from detoxifying from all the plant toxins in your body. I don’t think it’s the butter causing the skin issues but just give it more time to assess the situation.
    If after 30 days you’re still having skin issues, then you might have to back off the butter and substitute with ghee (and beef tallow or suet) instead.
    Good luck and I’ll be watching your progress Neah!😊

      What does fat do? How does it heal?

    • @Papacarnivore15
      @Papacarnivore15 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Butter and other types of animal fats heal your body because it’s loaded with essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals necessary for optimum human health.
      Every cell in your body needs cholesterol which is the main ingredient in cell construction, particularly the outer wall of each cell which is composed of cholesterol.
      When people follow the ADA’s recommended Standard American Diet (SAD), where animal fats are replaced with toxic veg seed oils, cells become highly inflamed and sick and the mitochondria, the vital energy component inside of each cell, become damaged, resulting energy and making you fatigued and causing brain fog.
      Therefore, Saturated fat from healthy animal fats like butter, ghee, beef tallow, suet, beef fat trimmings, fatty fish, etc should be prioritized in a Proper Human Diet (carnivore, keto and Ketovore) should be prioritized and 70-80% of caloric intake should come from these sources for optimal health.
      As Dr Kiltz has famously said, the carnivore diet should be renamed as the “fativore” diet to ensure that people following this diet consume sufficient amounts of animal fat.
      I hope this helps!!😊😊🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🐷🐑🐮🐠🌹🌹

    Haven't seen you in a while. This new video just popped up on my feed. I thought this is what you were already doing to be honest eating carnivore as you thought that was better for you?
    Is there a difference on the Lion Diet? Is it more restricted? I didn't know there was a difference.
    Yes, butter is an avoid for blood type A and AB people coming from the BTD. If you are an Explorer GenoType, butter isn't advised for them either. Ghee however seems to be better tolerated.
    If you have blood type A, and happen to do well on meat, it seems like at least some of the type A's who are genotyped as Explorers are said to do well on higher amounts of meat (might be nearly all) from what i've researched.
    Meat portion size amounts recommended from the GenoType Diet book for Explorers (regardless of blood type) are also bigger than the other two GenoTypes that can be type A, which is Teacher and Warrior. Maybe the GenoType Diet protocols might have been better for you and a little more precise to your genetics?
    Explorers are said to have more issues with the skin, more breakouts etc, and their body type is more likely to range from meso-ectomorphic to mesomorphic (somewhat muscular to muscular). I think you might match that description.
    Sorry if i've missed you say anything before regarding this, but do you find caffeinated products keep you up at night? Or if you go slightly beyond a modest amount (more than say 2 or 3 cups a day), caffeine does that? I am sensitive to caffeinated products myself as well. I am quite chemically sensitive. I suspect to pesticides and certain aromas among other stuff also. Explorers are said to be affected by chemicals the most. Though what they're sensitive to might vary from individual to individual and how much they can tolerate.
    Explorers can also have beef, though type A's cannot. My suspicion is that because you're cooking the beef, maybe you're destroying (at least most of) what is reacting to your blood type in the beef? So your genetics is saying that's not too bad, but your blood type isn't? That might explain a lot for you right there.
    You could if you wanted (unless anything suddenly started working out for you with whatever you have going) try an alternative meat like lamb, chicken, turkey or a fish compatible with your blood and GenoType, and that might work even better than the beef. Up to you. And wish you well.

    • @neahsway
      @neahsway  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you. Lion diet is different, restricting to ruminant animal meat only. No pork, chicken, coffee, tea, or seasonings.

    • @NeoNine10
      @NeoNine10 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@neahsway ah ok. Coming from my knowledge of the BTD, i guess not having the pork and chicken could explain why there's a few that thrive on this diet like the Peterson's that came up with it and their followers etc.
      Pork is an avoid for all types, and chicken isn't advised for types B and AB. The story of the Rabbi in the first Eat Right 4 Your Type book explains more about what happens with those types consuming chicken. Not far away from the beginning of the book i think it was mentioned.
      There does seem to be something about chicken affecting some people that isn't otherwise in other poultry like turkey.
      My food sensitivity test from Bionetics mentioned to avoid chicken. I used to get stitches during exercise which eventually resulted in a full blown digestive problem when my system started struggling to cope. Also would sometimes get a skin rash under my nose. Such issues eventually became more settled versus when i ate it.
      Pork used to affect my stomach too, though not as bad as chicken.

    I want to do the carnivore diet. I'm 46, 6' tall and about 275 lbs. I used to be built, but as I age I've just gotten lazy and put on the weight. I have no energy. I want that back, but I struggle with cooking. It doesn't interest me at all and my adhd kicks in and I can't focus on what I'm doing. My brother burnt his house down trying to boil hot dogs, because he forgot about them. I do the same thing. Was outside and smelled the hot dogs burning after I wondered off thinking about something else. Any advice?

      Get an airfryer. It simplifies everything. Put a steak or some pork belly in, set the timer and even if you forget about it, it just turns off at the end.

      I love to grill more than cook by far. Open flames, though...don't forget about them! 😉 You get to be outside, and the flavor is so much better.
      I'm also making my own jerky from ground beef right now and my whole family loves it. Super easy. Try it for 30 days you can do it!

    Giving up caffeine is a huge change. You can’t judge how anything else is impacting you until at least day 11. I have given it up twice and it was nasty. The fatigue and leg and back pain carried on well past the first week. It will effect your digestion.

    See if you like this as a substitute for butter: Go to a grocer where there's a butcher & ask for fat that's been trimmed off the meat - either beef or lamb. Sometimes they give it to me free or really cheap. Cut into cubes or strips, whichever you like, salt well & fry. Pop it in your mouth and you will know that God loves you 😊

    I’ve been drinking way too much coffee for the past month now and have noticed that a) eating less but when I do eat, I’m hungrier, like “hangry-hungry”, b) more dehydrated even with the same amount of water, c) sleeping is most definitely affected which makes me want more caffeine during the day, d) the caffeine crashes come on much quicker which of course makes me want another caffeine hit, and even craving something sweet/carbs ensuring a never-ending cycle of ‘coffee high then low’, e) increased brain-fog and much more exhaustion. Definitely need to break up with coffee, even decaf!
    BTW, a pound of butter is divided into 4 sticks = 1/4 pound each stick.

    Keep on testing, you're doing a great job. I don't really know, but i'm just gonna put it out there for other commenters: maybe it is the brand of butter. Steak and butter gal once warned about the ingredients in butter in her "I'm sad to share this tragic news about butter and eggs" video. I personally am starting to notice differences in how my stomach reacts to different butter brands just recently, so it will be an interesting few weeks of testing which will go and which will stay.
    Keep us updated! ❤

      I think this is true. I found my body would react to the non-organic butter more. I get skin rashes. But i am sensitive to the pesticides etc. Could be what they feed the cows. It's already established that the food you eat ends up in the mothers milk. Including the chemicals the farmers use.

    Maybe I'm wrong but lion diet is just beef and water, no butter. Lard or tallow are good sources of fat.
    Dairy can be inflammatory for some....so yeah maybe a stick a day is way too much. I know is delish!!! But yeah, maybe a spoon instead of a stick for the taste will resolve the problem. Its all about experimentation here😂....me I want just whipped double cream all day long, but I know I cannot handle it as the rest of dairy. Born to boogie with just 🍖 meat...tons of love❤

    Never ever start this diet cold turkey! Transition needs to be gradual over period of 6-8 weeks. Otherwise you will damage your body. Second, you need fat, especially when eating meat lower in fat like chicken. Third. You must increase acidity of your stomach by drinking water mixed with apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. Otherwise you will experience nausea. Fourth. Be generous with salt. Fifth. Include salmon and sardines in your diet. They contain magnesium, potassium and bunch of other minerals. Finally. Eat eggs, a lot of them every day.

    I’m a logical person and logic says BUTTER is a PRODUCT. It’s NOT a natural carnivore Food, it’s human made PRODUCT. I say this still having butter at home BUT I also buy 5lb bags of suet and do my humane best to learn eating a ton of suet. USWellnessMeats is a brand I heard from Dr Berg and order my suet form then, both beef and lamb suet. Because I’m not a fan of it, I chug it down as supplement pills 💊 I KNOW suet is best. And so is Pemmican. Those are the worlds original survival, war and healing foods. Suet + Pemmican. I’m a survivor of plant based upbringing, thus I don’t have the dental health to be eating steak every day ❤ but I do best to boil everything in my instant pot and consume tons of fatty broths because I dislike eating it. Try suet. Dairy is not for big girls 😂 ❤ I’m trying to woman up for that lion diet business too now ❤❤❤
