    You are just the coolest woman. I love how you take tech and show examples to make the DIY very accessible. Thank you

    Found this 3 years old valuable tips. i will build this using pvc foam (super easy to shape using just paper cutter) rather than piece of woods since I don't have those powertools. Using Sygic for navigating in HUD mode. Great video , thanks !!

      Good idea on using foam. Make sure to paint/match it to match with the color of car's dash cap (where phone will be placed) else the border will be distracting in reflection.

    Awesome - but for God's sake turn off the back ground music! I wanted to hear what you're saying but it's almost impossible.

    I've been working on this as well, as an Uber driver. I create a VNC network with my phone then join the network on my tablet. The challenge is flipping the video feed on the tablet.

      @@AlwaysBeCurious_ In conjunction with an WiFi or BT OBDC adapter it is even posible to have more then just navigation. You'll get all of the telemetric data displayed then

    It's a very clever idea.

    what is mostly needed is simply an app that will convert all graphics to mirror image..... I suspect though this would be a huge battery drain app.. so it might be better to have a device that plugs into 12-24v port. The device contains the app. Maybe project it instead of reflecting it?

    Is the HUD film so dark or does the video make it look dark

    will it work with a GPS?

    • @AlwaysBeCurious_
      @AlwaysBeCurious_  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It works with gps but if you are looking to work with a specific gps app, you have to make sure The app has a HUD mode which basically 1. Flips the text by 180 so that its mirror reflection is correctly displayed, 2. The app has a dark mode where only the main features are highlighted in bright colors (to easily see on the windshield) and rest background is comparatively dark to avoid distraction in seeing while driving.
