Currently watching Smallville (I’m on season 8) and I’ve been saying for the longest time that Clark and Chloe’s relationship is absolutely awesome and I think that not only has that to do with the great writing for them but above all else, the chemistry between Tom and Allison. I mean putting her absolutely awful personal issues aside for just a second, Allison’s performance as Chloe is honestly really well done! @@lukeyznaga7627 Same, and I'd go as far as to say that whatever an actor does off camera it should have no bearing on the appreciation of the performances they gave on camera that have made many movies and/or TV shows iconic. Allison handled the "queen of irrelevant references" comment by Clark very well in S01E16. Then (in S01E16) when Clark and Chloe are searching the road where Martha hit Ryan, Clark mentions Ryan's comment about Chloe picking out a dress. They way Chloe froze was perfect. As far a range was concerned, Allison's was well beyond her years as a actor.

I used to get irritated with Chloe, but as I got older and rewatching the show many times since then, she became the character I liked almost as much as Clark and Lois because her journey was so good and how her character grew throughout was great. Allison was a great actress
Chloe was literally the *only* character I was able to stand from S1. Everyone else came across as boring or irritating to me. Later some other appealing characters arrived like Jimmy, Lois,Oliver and even Tess, but for a long time I was solely watching"Smallville"for Chloe.💛

That scene about her being the editor. That wasn’t about Lana taking the spot. It was that Lana is perfect and already taking Clark from her. It was about way more than being the editor.
I like to see people not afraid to give someone credit when they are good at something. Just because you acknowledge someone's ability doesn't mean that absolves them of any bad/terrible behavior/acts. We often see if that if someone does something deemed bad or controversial, everything then done in life is now negated.
Allison's character is what drew me more into Smallville, the way she started to have feelings for Clark and her facial expressions, emotions was everything.
I just bought the set to watch it all again. But Allison made me believe Chloe was totally in love with Clark. Her performance was the most believable thing I've ever seen
It's really nice of them to acknowledge her even with everything that happened after. Chloe was my favorite character because Alison added so much to the role. She was smart, adorable, but caring and fierce when she needed to be.
She was the best actress on set. She was able to be sad, angry, funny, jealous, but most importantly, she could cry. She is the only member on set that could cry on demand. Everyone else just struggled getting a tear in lol
I just realized that Smallville was really a lot like Scooby-Doo. Insert your favorite Smallville character into your favorite Scooby-Doo character and replay a lot of episodes of Smallville and they could easily be episodes of the the other show. Agreed. Smallville was well cast. While I'm not a fan a big fan of prequels and reboots most of the cast was very likable. Allison's characterization of Chloe made her very likable.
This is what happens when men try to understand women; actually teenage women, or young girls and their emotions. Dudes, seriously, can you be more insensitive? Currently watching Smallville (I’m on season 8) and I’ve been saying for the longest time that Clark and Chloe’s relationship is absolutely awesome and I think that not only has that to do with the great writing for them but above all else, the chemistry between Tom and Allison. I mean putting her absolutely awful personal issues aside for just a second, Allison’s performance as Chloe is honestly really well done! Clark & Chloe’s relationship is one of thee best (Top 2 easily, if not number 1) in the show. Period
You guys are stand up guys. Honoring what Allison did for the show. Especially in a cancel culture world, where even just honoring her performance could some how *ridiculously* hurt your image because of what she did
🙌🙏
Yeah, I got to say, it is IMPORTANT to give Allison Mack the due she deserves. Allison was a great actress that did good work on the show. "Hero.." and "Luke Skywalker" are correct. That version of Allison Mack was a great actress.
@@lukeyznaga7627 Allison Mack is a human trafficker. You wouldn't give Bill Cosby this much grace
@@lukeyznaga7627 Same, and I'd go as far as to say that whatever an actor does off camera it should have no bearing on the appreciation of the performances they gave on camera that have made many movies and/or TV shows iconic.
For example Kevin Spacey - and yes I know the immediate reaction to his name these days is probably disgust and vitriol, but that does not take away from the great films and TV performance that he gave for over 2 decades.

She was an amazing actress
It is all well and good to remember the wonderful talent and performances of Allison Mack. She was a very bright talent who essentially galvanized the entire cast into creating the Smallville magic, but don’t for one second turn a blind eye to the ugly, sadistic things she did to all those woman she conned into Keith Raniere’s cult. Yeah, she was victimized by Raniere, but she also consciously chose to align with him. Three years in jail for doing what she did? Come on. That should’ve been 30.
Ya, there was no one like her before or since. Very few exceptions. If she had hit 60 years sooner she would have out-shined all the so called greats. Thats how talented she is.
Thankyou for making my childhood so much better. Kids these days will never know. smallville still my favorite show of all time. I got all the seasons as gifts over the years. Best gits i ever got. Love it guys. Love to see you guys here.
*When Smallvillle was on I was in college and I told everyone then 'Youre watching the last great American tv show youll ever see. Enjoy it.' Just had that instinct in my gut. It was right.*
@@Nicamon wow, that's actually interesting. She started to grow on me in later seasons. It just took me rewatching over the years to finally appreciate her and her entire arch. I wish she had a better send off but it was like as the they drew closer to the end, they didn't know what to do with her.
Wow I was very much the same!
She was great. She was one of my favorite characters. How her character evolved as the seasons progressed. Everything with Jimmy Olsen. It was something else. I'll never forget.
Her smile always got me 😊❤ she was so beautiful.
I initially couldn’t stand Chloe but after Pete left and she found out Clark’s secret she definitely became my favorite character. But each season I felt worried that she would be killed off because she knew Clark’s secret. I hope after her time in prison, restitution, and with some serious counseling Allison can make some kind of redemptive comeback.
100%. Before she knew Clark's secret she was so annoying but after she found out she became one of my favorites.
@@chrisastin184 I disagree. For a long time she was literally the *only* character of the whole show I *didn't* find annoying. And since she was not a classical character from"Superman"I was always TERRIFIED that she could disappear(either dying or leaving)any moment!😬Luckily that didn't happen and,on the contrary, she became more and more important _and_ some other appealing characters arrived like Jimmy,Loise,Oliver and Tess but, before that, she was literally my *only* reason to keep watching the show!💛
I couldnt stand Lana. Every time she had a scene I had to stop myself from getting up and walking out of the room. Her character graded on my nerves.
@@Nicamon I felt the same about Diggle on arrow. Thought they would possible either kill him off or Felicity since thier not in the comics but they later decided to make him John from the green lantor.
Agreed
I'm good with remembering people in the past before they changed aka to what/who she changed to. she did good. in the day

Mack is a wonderful actress❤
Amazing how your able to discuss her about her acting With everything going on. Good job guys
She’s one of the few women I’ve ever seen that smiles with her eyes not just her lips.
It's nice of you to mention Allison. Hell, she was an integral part of the show! I hope she's getting the help she needs.
*Nothing that the absence of the sick underbelly of 'Hollywood' wouldn't have corrected.*
No I hope her victims get the help they need
She was truly incredible in Smallville it's a shame what she was actually involved in

@@suzygirl1843 Yes, she did horrible things, and she is serving out her sentence in prison for it. But she is also a victim. That cult groomed her for over a decade, and she was young when she joined. Sometimes things are grey, imo, but it’s your right to see them in black and white.
@@darwiniacroft She's NOT a victim. Quit this victim mentality that people like to assert to Western white women. Imagine if she was black or Asian, people would push for death penalty. ACCOUNTABILITY is necessary
I looked up to Chloe as a kid growing up with this show. Her character was the reason I almost got into journalism. It broke my heart beyond words when I found out what she did. But I agree with the people here. Allison was still an amazing actress. I'd like to think that somewhere along the way, she lost herself and made the worst choices. But when it came to her work, she delivered her heart everytime and helped raise a whole generation. I would never deny the horrendous things she has done but I will always respect what she had given to her fans and the show all those years. It's a character. Written, directed and created. We can give all the love to the character but not support the actor. They are two different things.

A very sincere yet dignified segment- thanks for being great actors and great human beings guys.
As someone with years of theater - you guys followed the rule 'keep the drama on the stage".
Tom Wellings voice is just so soothing! ❤️
She was 100%! One of my favorite and one of the best actors in that time of TV! It’s absolutely a dam shame, she got close with the evil elites and messed with innocent children…😤
That scene about her being the editor. That wasn’t about Lana taking the spot. It was that Lana is perfect and already taking Clark from her. It was about way more than being the editor.
Which scene and which episode buddy?
She was great, and like the whole cast...they are missed!
Sex trafficking isn't great, tho
I like to see people not afraid to give someone credit when they are good at something. Just because you acknowledge someone's ability doesn't mean that absolves them of any bad/terrible behavior/acts. We often see if that if someone does something deemed bad or controversial, everything then done in life is now negated.
Allison's character is what drew me more into Smallville, the way she started to have feelings for Clark and her facial expressions, emotions was everything.
Thanks for this video, guys. I know it's akward all the situation, but Allison was amazing. Chloe was so important to Smallville.
I've never heard "god-blessed" as a swear before. I like it.
The scene where Clark saved Chloe from being buried alive was incredible acting by Alison
Allison was BomB AF on Smallville. Toss up between her and Michael Rosenbaum. Both are amazing Talents!
I, personally, think the character of Chloe would make perfect Velma.
Love how everyone realizes it's a messed up situation but she really is a great actress and no ill will even in the comments ❤
Regardless of what Allison did after Smallville... She was an extremely talented actress and one of the main reasons behind the huge success of the show... And also everyone deserves a second chance and I hope and pray that She comes back into regular life once again as the person we grew up loving back in our teenage and early adulthood years
I’m watching it now at 63 can see why my two kids loved it. Tom and Michael and all the young actors are amazing in it. Sad for Allison. But as an actor she is awesome 😎
Rosenbaum is beyond cool meeting you and Tom was something I will always remember.
I like how through the lense of time you can appreciate the work you did while also not taking it too seriously, critiquing the bad stuff, and making fun of yourselves.
I love that FOR THIS ISSUE, folks have COMMON SENSE. What she's chosen to get into in her personal life, and having to recognize how WRONG what she chose was, is 4 her as a person. BUT, what she means to fans of Smallville and obviously to other actors, shouldn't be dimmed in anyway, I HOPE she comes back to US, I've got open arms with no judgement, I'm SURE she's learned by now the ins and outs of right and wrong in her decisions, something more of us could use honestly.
She was such a talented young woman, but she was also so unbelievably impressionable.
Her performance compelling, captivating and wouldn't let you go no matter how much you tried to get away
She trafficked women into sex slavery
I love Allison Mack’s performance so much. She made love believable and Chloe loved Clark! That goes to Allison. Sad for her current situation. I agree with Rosenbaum on the editor scene with Lana. Chloe was the warmth in Smallville. Thanks guys. So nice to have the breakdown. We are watching you all over again. So fun! ❤
The fact that they can recall scenes of certain episodes, indicates how much they love acting.
I miss Allison Mack...it's messed up what she did and went through with that Occult bull but as an actress she was amazing and I hope and pray that whatever she had going on, she gets recovered and loved because I want to see her in a comeback WE LOVE CHLOE AKA ORACLE!

IMO Allison was the far better actress than other female leads.
Yes, Mack had a natural talent. Most of the other female leads seemed a bit forced. Kristin Kreuk, given she had to play second fiddle Lana Lang to love interest Lois Lane, was good too, though.

I had the biggest crush on her back in the day. Broke my heart to see her go all evil
I had a HUGE crush on Allison as a young guy, I was rocked when I found out about her involvement with NXIVM.
Dude don't blame your self I blame Kristen for it if she was a true freind she would have did more background checks or saved her
When they talk about Allison/Chloe, it's in the bubble of those 10 seasons. And that's how it has to be. Current terrible situation notwithstanding
Ps. Allison was awesome for those 10 years on Smallville
Absolutely this!
Allison was soo talented, had such an unbelievably bright future ahead of her. It hurts that all that just went to waste.
Smallville was one of my favorite shows and I loved the cast! Welling IS Superman! Rosenbaum is awesome as Lex AND The Flash!!
I had a big crush on her, back watching smallvillle.
Best TV show , it gave the beginning of many others , but still alone in one category.
Glad to see this. Everybody doesn't have to agree with some of the choices A.M. has made but she was brilliant and vital to the show.
HOW AM I BARELY FINDING OUT ABOUT THIS MOW?!?
Kudos to you all for being able to separate the professional from the personal.
I agree, Allison always brought her A-Game with her acting. Although as it does make me sad as well on how she ended in her life currently. She was one of my favorites on the show.
I'm on season 8 (5th run watch) ...
Allison is amazing, flawless in acting.

Allison was my fav!!
It was heartbreaking to see her problems of late and genuinely hope she finds her way back ❤
I.miss her hope she will be in the fold someday with you guys loved her in Smallville
My wife and I enjoyed Smallville from the very start and Allison Mack's Chloe was a significant part of that. I also think Tom Welling's minimalist portrayal of Clark was a key piece to making the show immediately likable. So many well done characters. Congratulations to the entire cast.
It's sad the choices Allison Mack did in life, but she was very good in Smallville and that cannot be taken away from her at least.
I sincerely hope she get's another chance as an actress if that is what she want's to pursue.
Because she is a talented actress and she seem to sincerely regret the choices she made.
She was extremely talented and natural. A damn shame
Chloe Sullivan is one of my very favorite characters on the show and she wouldn’t have been so memorable and lovable without Allison Mack.
She's been in love with his character for over a decade. Lana has held his heart for the same period of time. I'm actually surprised she hasn't scratched Lana's eyes out by now...or at least ripped out her amazing eyelashes!
Allisson was great at Smallville. She and Michael Rosenbaum stood out. It’s sad that child and teenager actors don’t get the support that they need..
Ya its weird. I dont know Id heard she was dating a drummer or bass player or something and then I heard she was engaged. So I thought she was married all those years after the show. All of that shocked me.
Loved her character in smallville. She was a wonderful actress. Too bad her life choices were the worst.
I was absolutely in love w Chloe. She became like a dream girl during my Smallville years!
Loved Allison im Smallville... i was always rooting for her, even though I knew that wasnt how the story goes... she is a fantastic actress... it is too bad that she lost her way so terribly.
"... because she's a god blessed chemist." For the win!
If Alison had not gone down the wrong path later in life, she might have gotten onto another series in TV. She is a great actress.
" Of all the words of tongue or pen, the saddest are ' *what might have been* ' ".
100%. When that news broke several years ago, I was in shock and disbelief. It's like the girl next door who works as teacher's aid in the school library and you are like wtf.
I remember the time Clark caught a football that was aimed at Chloe’s head (Hothead), the time he saved Chloe from a bunch of football players (Truth), etc.
