Very cool that you met Marc Petitjean. His fly tying tool designs are beautiful and very well made. I’m a long time fly fisherman and just getting into the bass scene in Nor Cal. Hope to see you on the Delta one day. Thanks for the idea

I’ve been using a very similar device I make from kydex sheets. The kydex also gives it a little rattling noise against the weight. I can throw creature baits in the middle of coontail and it keeps the bait from sliding down or tearing.

that is a great idea, especially with the scent . If you dont mind , I missed the hook size?

Would it behoove you to glue that head in place instead of a bobber stop? Just wondering. Im definitely going to give this a try!

Very Kool, Why don’t you use a piece of already existing monofilament line instead of purchasing the coloured plastic U Monument pieces ?

Very cool trick! First time I've seen this. I have tried the "swivel" trick with some success where you run your line through one end of a small swivel ... tie line to hook ... make the initial penetration of the worm as in a regular T-rig ... then pass the free end of the swivel over the hook point and up the shaft ... then embed the hook point in the worm normally. Works pretty good but I think your "Big Secret" technique will work better!. Thanks Steve!

Give it a try and let me know how you like it. You will see if nothing else it is a huge time saver and each worm will catch many more fish. Thanks for watching. PS Bass Pro has cheep squid skirts.

Steve you’ve been in my head again. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to do this. I’ll use cork to make it float. I can kill two birds with one stone with this. I can use it like it is or put a packing peanut in the head if I want some float. Thanks for the big tip.
