Do you know what the availability of these drones are like from Skydio for people like myself wanting to bust into the drone services business? My understanding is that it is pretty difficult to get your hands on one unless you are a corporation making a multi-drone purchase.
These drones are a lot more available than you’d think! They’re comparable in price to the X2 thermal version. You don’t need to make a multi-drone purchase to gain access to this one. I’d recommend reaching out and inquiring about it, the X2 Color is an absolute game changer!
Absolutely amazing! I really appreciate the link you provided. This was the first time I was able to work with a finished product like this so easily. I wonder if you've ever scanned a large specimen tree? It seems that trees don't come out quite so crisp as these type of structures. I would love to see what you're able to do though with a beautiful specimen tree.

Thank you! We’ve confirmed measurements in past projects, but we’ll actually be going out this weekend to confirm measurements on this specific project to share with you. We’ve been very pleased with its accuracy for inspection, construction monitoring, etc. so far!
Awesome video. Good work! Thank you for the in-depth yet understandable information. I have a Skydio 2 but I believe it’s just the “Cinema” version. This version is cool, but for my uses it may be a bit more than I need.
Thanks Mr Howard! We’re glad you enjoyed the video:) The Skydio 2 does have a cinema upgrade. We haven’t flown that model before but we’ve heard it’s great as well!
Anytime my friend! And it sure is! The drone doesn’t create the model within its software. It creates images to be stitched together afterwards in different photogrammetry software options like Pix4d, reality capture, or Bentley context capture. I hope that cleared things up a bit!

Curious if you know the motor and ESC Specs for the X2E. biggest thing im looking for is the KV rating for the Motors and the max Amps for the ESCS
