I got a little misty eyed seeing Risey do the turns and balancing on 3 legs. I remember when he couldnt do that. He's come such a long way. he is a happy horse with no pain. That's all that matters.❤

Yvonne you were so patient with Risey while getting him used to the bit. Your calm demeanor really reassured him. He seems to be coping well with wobblers. May never be perfect but adjusting to it. He is such a symbol of all of us who have to adjust to physical problems in our lives. Thank you for giving us all hope ❤❤❤

Rising Star is an intelligent being.....with needs just like you and I....He will thrive on purpose, attention, ..learning new things, so that his life will be as much like that of other members of his herd, as is possible!
If Yvonne is willing to spend her time and energy, Rising Star will willingly oblige!

If you could ask him he would say that if he can't be 100% free, in conditions like those of 1000 years ago, then he would want to be just like his friends. He did very well with everything today. They enjoy learning and they demonstrate a desire to learn and to to work with us as partners. Learn something before you criticise others who have decades more knowledge than you have. One hour a day is good for him, not harmful. Horses are too smart to just lie around and rot their minds, like we do.

Risey did so great for his first time wearing a bit and bridle and also learning how to lunge so quickly. He is looking healthy, happy and beautiful. As long as he's not in pain he can be a pasture puff.🥰 He is such a good companion because he seems to get along well with everyone. ❤

It was Rising Star who lifted his keg, at Yvonne' s promoting.......he has learned well!
NEXT, those troublesome hind legs, which may be somewhat more difficult.....but Risey is willing and will try, for Yvonne..and a couple of pellets!

Years of owning many horses and dogs...they will let you know when they want to go. I see nothing here but an eager, happy and energetic horse with the desire to live. He might not be 100 %, but just because something is broken, it does not mean it should be thrown away.

I have never met RS of course, but seeing his beauty, intelligence, and sensitive nature, I would be lying if I said it wasn't heartbreaking to watch him lose balance with his back legs on and off. I am glad he's alive and I think he has an enriched and stimulating life with Yvonne. He really is beautiful horse. Hopefully the lunging will help his coordination so he can be a safer horse to be around for people and animals. He HAS improved, and I am happy about that. Plus he gives Yfke a perfect pasture mate. He wins prettiest eyes in the stable - though the foals are strong competition!
This video brought tears of happiness after seeing Rising with his Bridal for the first time and then lunging how beautiful because he trusts Yvonne so much that's why it went so well
I have not enough words, dearest Yvonne, to thank for everything you do for our beautiful darling boy Rising Star! But Risey himself shows all his gratitude: He trusts you in a way which is rarely seen like this. It is so precious....
I think you have been wise to let Risey live. He is not in pain, looks a contented horse with his friends. He is still young but over time will learn to adapt even more to his condition. It was lovely to see him working with you.

He could be used as a emotional support animal. People in nursing homes or what not love it when animals are brought in. Of course for Risey they would have to go outside. Uniek did such a good job with him❤❤❤❤
Agree. Risey is an excellent companion for the other horses and ponies.
I'm sure Yvonne will keep him as long as he is able to be happy.
Discussion about putting him down has been whether he can have a safe and social and rewarding life.
There are times when a gentle death is more humane than continued life. I put down one pet at "The Right Time" and another after it was truly suffering. Both memories stay with me for very different reasons.
Yvonne knows and loves her horses and I trust her decisions.
I agree with Yvonne’s thinking re: Risey. He will never truly be safe with the wobblers but he does seem happy. A very difficult decision no matter the outcome. I certainly enjoy watching him and learning from him.
His color is still changing! 😍 from baby fur, to teen, to young man.

I am so happy you have let Risey live. He does seem happy and seems to be doing well despite his wobbler. You yourself know miracles happen. Maybe some day he will get better but if not he seems happy and is well cared for!

Good morning everyone. Risey is enjoying his brush down and spending time with you.
Risey really trusts Yvonne and feels the love Yvonne gives him. Having that and being the very smart horse he is, I think he enjoys learning new things and knowing that he gets training treats when he tries! Who knows how long any animal or human will live, but it's worth making each day fulfilling. Thanks to Yvonne for giving these days to Risey ❤

So I think that it’s interesting to watch him run, and I think there is a purpose to Risey that maybe hasn’t been pointed out: he’s an educational animal, and through him, you’ve been showing us what it is like to work with an animal with wobblers. You’ve shown us how you care for him, socialize him, train him, and you’re showing people who work with horses how it is possible to enrich the life of a non-working animal. You’ve given him a purpose on your channel and in your stable whether you’ve realized it or not! It’s wonderful that he’s alive and that he’s with you.

@@rebekahv5185 Thanks!!😅 Red 🐎 are especially close to my heart I’m not entirely sure why but maybe the fact that I am a redhead myself with Irish descent has something to do with it lol. So whenever I see or fall in love with a chestnut equine I have to give him or her a nickname but then again I try to have multiple different nicknames for any and all animals in my life weather they’re mine or others.🐎🔥🌟🧡🧡

I think most, if not all, of us agree; as long as Risey is happy, pain-free and not a danger to those around him, letting him live is the right thing to do.

Not going to lie watching these moments is making me a little emotional & incredibly proud Yvonne you’ve done an amazing job with him Risey couldn’t have found a better guardian. Everything will take some practice & getting used to but Riseys doing fantastic so far and with your expert,gentle tutelage he’ll learn quickly;can’t wait to see future sessions. i agree but i also understand her concern. he isnt sure on his feet and if he falls on anyone they could get seriously hurt. its not just himself, but also other people / horses.

It’s about the quality of his life. Questions like could he fall or trip in the pasture and break a leg ect 🙁

Lovely, lovely Risey! He was afraid, but when Yvonne says 'Godsoe', it's okay for him. He had big eyes to see all things, what are done with him. I think, some days later He will love the time with Yvonne.i allways said, a mother loves that child most, what need her help most. Risey needs a lot of help. But he has a heart of gold.
