Wow, Thanks for posting this. I never seen an in flight video with aborted take off. Glad the captain identified an issue and cancelled the take off before it was too late.
At this speed, i can assure you the captain has saved your life. The "faulty" plane entered because of the fog on the runway could have been crashed at full speed.
I shared the same thought - It`s also quite common when you have poor visibility, but nevertheless you have enough warning systems around to avoid the worst in time.
If you don't know where it entered, how can you really assure that? A plane entering at the opposite end of the rwy and holding still would never be a problem, given that this aircraft were not violating performance speeds the given day. But probably a good decision to stop anyway!
Why does this happen ?? Ground controllers have ground radar and should 'see' aircraft. Other aircraft are given the usual precise instructions about taxying, holding short of runways etc. And we still have situations like this when it's foggy. It shouldn't happen !! The captain obviously sounded calm when talking to the passengers but I'll bet he was raging about being put in that position. It could have ended far worse.
Good job on the flight crew for knowing when to abort takeoff before it was past the point of no return. Too often pilots are under extreme conditions and still have to perform critical and potentially life-altering decisions. When you add adverse weather conditions to this it can be deadly. This flight crew didn't just save their lives and their passengers, but those of the other aircraft as well, not to mention any on the ground.
when people starts talking and panicking during an aborted takeoff/landing because it's not their usual "accelerate and climb", or their usual "decel and descend". but as an av geek, this is one of the best gifts during a flight - in the event that the aborted takeoff/landing is not a result of something life-threatening that is (medical emergency)
ckxrs if you experience this for your first time. You will be shocked and abut scared. Ive flown alot of planes before, none of them had any bad experience. Dont judge the book by its x Cover

Make no mistake, this is a big SAVE!

To the captain of this flight, great job!

You don't know that at all. Pure conjecture.
so there was another plane on the runway?
@@mathias1dk Well, the problem with that is if this plane suffers a mechanical failure the intrusion aircraft can be easily crashed into.
Somebody got given the number to call the tower that day.....

Mistakes happen in every profession. Just good that nothing bad happened because of it.
Thank you for the upload!
Bravo pour le partage! Evénement rarissime! Excellente décision + Waouhhhh capitaine!!
So there was another aircraft already on the runway that’s caused the abort takeoff
I have only been on one aborted take off and they are unsettling. You hear about instrument landings but instrument takeoffs are something else.
Good thing to take off in a cloudy day-that you always see a sun after climb unless it's a night time.
1:30 When the captain has to use the bathroom.
Also, so rare to hear ptu during takeoff!
No way man.... Pressurisation varies....
Typically ptu can be heard during take off rolls ... 😀
An Airbus a318 pilot rejects takeoff after a fog on the runway thanks for the pilot that saved your lives
Flaps were down a long time after takeoff it seems.
Yeah, i noticed that as well.
Well they were probably doing checklists and were most likely going back to the runway
As you can see the pitch is pretty high on that take off. So the speed don't increase so much. That why the flaps still down after a few moment
No, just low clouds :)
@@kreidefelsen Yes, it's called: a Fog.
This would be a good one for VASA.
I bet so many pax just had absolutely no idea how close they came to being featured on many news channels, LVO incursions 😰
The captain just saved you from a Tenerife style disaster.
These videos are fasanating.... Thanks for posting.

Pepe Bizonier yep! you'll definitely feel your heart pumping fast.
no capt would do a rejected take off for a medical emergency no way. he would take off and then come back to land.
Must be quite surprising to experience such thing!
Great job captain
That sounds like someone screwed up. We had to abort takeoff to clear the runway for another aircraft...😯
We’re u thinking to do a full flight vid? Cause this is a good full flight is was so cool
