So I grew up in and all around the places dahmer would haunt, I know this will sound odd but I'm telling the truth here. My mom, now deceased used to buy drugs from his apartment building. Sigh but I've been in both his apartment building and the ambassador (another drug den before it was rebuilt) Dahmer came out of his apartment one day and as me and moms passed him he tussled my hair and said cute kid you got there!!! . Shudders now, my moms was no saint but talk about the Icey hand of fate!!

No matter how many changes were made in the past 30-plus to all the places Jeffrey Dahmer frequented, the stigma of his heinous crimes and his imprint on the local culture can't be erased. Still, Milwaukee's resilience moving past those awful memories is great.

I came to Milwaukee in August ('22) for a Brewers game and I showed up at the Ambassador late at night because one of those third party travel sites advertised a really low rate. Without telling me anything about it, the Ambassador gave me room 507. The only thing that ever really freaked me out about it is that, despite this video, there is no actual "507" plate in the hallway beside the door. It is completely unmarked and the only way that my friend and I found it was by process of elimination down the hallway. True, in the two nights that I stayed there, I didn't have great sleep but I've been known to be an insomniac anyway so I wasn't terribly worried about it because the rest of my day was just fine. There is a strange stain in the center of the floor but I doubt that's from anything sketchy. That whole floor smells musty but the footage they show is exactly what that room looks like. The whole hotel in general is creepy but no supernatural activity I can speak of. I am a believer in Christ and I remember praying before bed and invoking Jesus name so maybe I was shielded from any typical things but I can also say that I've been in much more spiritually tumultuous places and have felt way more uncomfortable then just this musty small room.

    • @FreyzelProductions

That is very possible. I was told they recently removed the room number to keep gawkers from coming up to see the room. The hotel is pretty old and has a creepy vibe to it for sure!

Something that the landlords nowadays can learn from this gruesome incident. Since we have now more access to someone's information due to technology, landlords can easily and instantly identify if someone has criminal history. Jeffrey had few cases before his serial killings. The apartment complex is also a great loss to the owner as he had to let go of it for $325,000 to be demolished. There's a lot of victims here and it's shocking that only 1 person did all of them. Unspeakable evil.

In 90-91 I was in the USAR. I met a dude who lived in these apartments. I had a 5.0 Mustang at that time and this dude wanted to meet up and go for a ride. I parked my car in the side alley and went in the door. Standing and waiting for the elevator was Dahmer and another asian looking guy. They both had grocery bags in their hands. Dahmer was wearing a t-shirt, his weird shades, and teal biking style shorts. Ill never forget that. They both turned and smiled at me as I opened the door. The space was cramped in the entry way so I decided to take the stairs which were right there. My friend lived on the 3rd floor. It did smell funky in the building but who knew. Dahmer knew that what he was doing was very wrong but there had to be some kind of disconnect as he was void of remorse, empathy, compassion or anything that makes humans human.
Some of the top scientists say empathy is a gene and up to 20% of humans lack this gene. Other's say it's much more than 20% and up to exactly 50%. Of course without pinpointing this gene there's no way of knowing this so it's merely a theory.
I'm wondering if Dahmer was severely abused and traumatized as a child and I don't know if anyone has researched this.
