The first kill I thought of when rick was asked “what’s the worst thing you’ve did to make sure someone survived” was that exact scene where he ripped that claimers throat out with his teeth
Lol same. I initially thought beale asked him as a rhetorical question to just think about it but is great to see that rick has kept that moment with him even after all the people he’s killed.
I thought the same neck bite must have been the worst. But then it flashed to Shane. And I thought that was lame but then a second later we see the gruesome neck bite. I knew it!
I’m glad they went back home and it makes sense why Carol is looking for Darryl so he will know Rick is back. Darryl ended his relationship with Rick on a bad note because of Negan….and Rick was right about Negan because he helped their community survive against the Whispers and the Commonwealth.
Rick is always right. They paint a beautiful theme in the walking dead and in my opinion that theme goes as follows. Deep down do not let your past and trauma Define you. Because when you do, You do go down a dark road that will always cloud your judgement leading into your downfall. Sorta like Batman philosophy. That is why they have always survived not out of “Plot armor” imo. They don’t hold it against anyone they just do what they do to survive.

I liked the finale overall. It wasn't groundbreaking but the series did wrap up the Rick disappearance story quickly and gave us a pleasant reunion. However, Rick's briefing and Michonne's viewing should've had more meat. Like maybe a reference to someone familiar.
Wrap up the main show with one season where the remaining CRM find cure, Michonne dies, New/ Old Rick comes back he takes control of CRM, time jump, he leads humanity back, statue erected, the show ends with the scene of old man Rick alseep in bed with his grand children playing outside in the new world
Weirdest question I have after watching is honestly "what more do we want?" Everything is wrapped up and almost all questions answered. I feel like maybe one final special anthology episode that tells how the world ends is needed
Walking Dead The Ones Who Live had the perfect finale, we got a trip down memory lane, seeing glimpses of all the events over the years, plus I felt they wrapped the CRM arc perfectly, the group was too a big of a threat to be left operational by Rick and Michonne. The reunion when Rick, and Michonne reunited with Judith, and RJ was beautiful and so emotional, the perfect end to the series.
I think season 2 of daryl's show will determine whether or not we get a full reunion of the rest of the characters, will also potentially be the ultimate end to all twd shows/spinoffs
We all want a big reunion. Even if it's one season I think they see the profit potential in that hype. I'm pretty confident it'll be an "avengers" of the spinoffs
Great video, Colton! It shows that you actually watched this show and appreciated it. I got the sense from Ryan’s videos on this series that he didn’t watch the show. (Okafor 😉) This was a really good series and I hope that they continue to tell their story, whether it’s a season two or a new series.
i noticed that the first 3 episodes are titled “years, gone, bye” referring to the time gap between rick waking up in atlanta to the years that went by from the bridge in alexandria to when he ended up in philadelphia
4:41 Minor one I found, and just hints that whoever wrote up Anne/Jadis's letter is a Star Wars fan... "Mission 3263827" might be memorable to fans of A New Hope as 3263827 is the number Luke says as the location of their garbage compactor on the Death Star
I loved how they wrapped everything up in this episode, I was dying thinking how would they get crm/crc off their backs after this, coz ofc crm/crc is so big and if not beale, his subordinates would try to take charge... but they did that nicely, now with the crc friendly everything is going to be okay, no more running..... and who knows maybe our main characters settle in crc as well...... Ah I wanted to see the others unite with Rick as well, especially Carol and Daryl !! but anyways. and they wasted the potential for michone and beale's sword fight but the explosion was really cool, it wiped everyone off instantly!! woohoo great series. now I can live peacefully knowing Rick is back!

I'm still watching but just had to pause for a few minutes to pick my jaw up after Rick just went "Murder Rick" on Beale. I am NOT disappointed one bit! Rick fu€king Grimes!! Catch ya when I finish! Edit: well I finished it, and still not one bit disappointed. Big props to Gimple (yeah, I said it), Andrew and Danai for the writing, pacing and of course, the acting that brought this "chapter" to its gratifying, heartgrabbing conclusion. Very satisfied.
"We are the ones who live" was said far before the series finale. Michonne started saying that to Rick during the war with Negan, and it became their catchphrase until he left the show.
We need Carol to find Daryl 1st Rick’s walking dead line is strictly based on what the scientist told him in season 1 tho and I’ve been walking the episodes early for years 😂
I can see no other "major antagonist" if they explore 1 more season or if Daryl/Dead City season 2. It would be how to deal with the 1 million strong walker hordes they might inevitably have to deal with. End the TWD universe fighting off The Walking Dead. Major deaths could still happen and whatnot. A few reunions. Conflict/tension with those feelings. Idk just an idea. Loved the ending. Could have explored more, but in 6 episodes if this is what it took to get back to their family, im happy 😊
I didn't cry in the 1st episode where Rick and Michonne reunite, but I know I cant be the only guy who did get emotional when Rick finally sees Judith and finally meeting Rick Jr.
I’m glad that they reunited with their family but it all just felt rushed, and on top of that RJ didn’t seem excited or emotional at all, great show with a let down of a finale unfortunately
If there is no 12th season of The Walking Dead, that's fine by me. I felt this show did a great job wrapping it up. If they do decide to bring together all The Walking Dead story lines from the various shows, I would honestly rather see a two-part feature film. The first movie could be Rick readjusting to life in Alexandria and leading up to an epic battle that would take place in the second movie.
I’ve got to assume that Rick only took out a branch like they are massive surely 2 people in 45 minutes of tv couldn’t have stopped them all. What about the world beyond cast or other taken characters like Heath there’s also suggestions in world beyond that they are tied to stuff happening in France (so maybe they can return in Daryl)
whenever season two happens itll most likely start with what we saw in the opening of episode five with gabriel in the woods seeing the helicopters except now we know the helicopter was rick and michonne and not the crm about to gas alexandria
This was a strange episode for me. The ending felt so rushed, and they met the kids somewhere on a meadow?? Not at home where we actually needed to see Rick and Michonne. They half assed it in my opinion. They reunited with their kids which I love. I’m glad no one died. But, they didn’t make it home. I didn’t see their home be it Alexandria or commonwealth. So this has left me wondering like ok now what…? Where are they???
This episode felt like they strung out the budget for the other episodes and had nothing left. So they dangled Keys in front of the fans to make them enjoy it haha. This episode was hot garbage
@@SpoonfulForYou very possible because I found it strange how only Judith and RJ showed up to finally reunite with their parents, as if Judith told NO ONE in the community Michonne finally made contact. It made it seem like Judith and RJ are the only living ppl left, no one else to show up to reunite with Michonne and Rick lol. Bizarre ending for sure. Didn’t like it. It was very sappy commercial like.
I like how everyone forgets that Ricks Crew and the Saviors are parallel, Neither side is more evil than the other. Ricks crew is also the only group to kidnap a child. Of course you just called it "taking her in".
something stood out to me in episode 6. Grimes takes out Beale, then in the elevator he takes out a soldier with his prosthetic hand, but some how after that his hand ends up back in Beale's office on the in the window for Thorne to find... what gives? maybe i missed something.
I'm happy they finally had a happy ending, after so much chaos ❤ I think The Book Of Carol is based on Carol looking for Daryl to let him know, Rick is home and well ❤ Daryl deals with so much hurt bc he blames himself for Rick's dəªth, so Carol is trying to free him from some burdens... The series crossover, that's what she was attempting to tell him over the radio, "Rick Is Back" ❤ Love IT Now that there's finally sunshine, there's definitely a storm brewing and I'm here for it...
"The Ones Who Live" comes from the conversation between Rick and Michonne in the Alexandria jail cell from the episode: "Hearts Still Beating" (Season 7 - Episode 8)... Only later, was it heard again in the Finale of Season 11..
The first time i heard that phrase from michonne was when her and rick used them metal cables hooked to the two cars and her and rick just drive down the road mowing down zombies in the median. When they finish she tells rick "we are the ones who live" ** i think it was the cable that saviors had rigged up with tnt and they disarmed it and used it. Like i said i cant remember the season/episode number. I would guess season 7? Maybe
My thoughts for what might happen next in the walking dead universe is that the rest of the walking dead other than dead city and Daryl Dixon will carry on from ‘ones who live’ instead of the main series this will be a carry on from the main series just on a different name
As I do love this series and understand that they had to finish it all up in technically 4 episodes outing the first 2 to backstory. I loved the finale but everything felt so so easy and rushed and quickly ran through with little opposition. They took down the biggest organized military force in the world in what felt like 5 minutes 😅 no hardship no real opposition at all just all through convenience almost. I feel like it will set up future villains with far less gun power and far less organization make them look like idiots if they can't be destroyed by Rick and Michone in 1 episode. But from the sounds of the CRM broadcast at the end I feel the world will be way more connected than ever before and civilization will start to take root again truly, until the next corrupt leader comes along.
I like him finding his family But there are so many other characters that shaped Rick throughout the show that I want to see him with. Like Carol and Daryl😔
I was so annoyed that Rick just ditched his iron Fist/blade. 1. Why would any amputee just ditch their aid...that is also a weapon...when your about to go on what is potentially a suicide mission against soldiers and walkers. 2. Thorne only knew something was really up when she found Rick's discarded prostetic. Dumb way to push the plot forward. 3. Didn't even take it back with him. Did he think Aaron would lend him a spare? 😂😂😂
The expression on Rick and Michonne's face once they learn that Judith almost died getting shot by Pamela Milton. It hasn't happened, but I am imagining what that would look like.
*Judith is Rick’s Daughter, not Shane*… season 1x6 @ CDC , Dr. Jenner makes them all take a blood test. Rick asks him about them later and Jenner says “ No Surprises”.. it would come up in any standard blood test, doesn’t take gyno to read that. . Unless Shane and Lori continued off screen, after Rick’s return, Judith is Rick’s ..
I really hope they do all get together and wrap the series up soon, but I’m sure they’ll milk it for all they can. The comics ended years ago and I’d like to see the show end as well.
I know everyone likes the happy ending and all, but no way Rick and Michonne survive that massive explosion with just a blankie cover lol. Then Rick survives a point blank grenade blast IN HIS HAND with zero damage. Cmoooon, the plot armor really pulled me out of that ending
I don’t think the grenade was in his hand I think he pulled the pin on one that was hanging on a walkers vest so the pin was in his hand. But I get the point you are making

I think season 2 of daryl's show will determine whether or not we get a full reunion of the rest of the characters, will also potentially be the ultimate end to all twd shows/spinoffs
I cried so hard at the end,
Great recap and linkage to all these Easter eggs.
We all want a big reunion. Even if it's one season I think they see the profit potential in that hype. I'm pretty confident it'll be an "avengers" of the spinoffs
How! They defeated the biggest bad without breaking a sweat and in one episode
i damn near cried at the end been watching the walking dead since i was 16 im 24 now tsc
Crazy how many years we watching this show. And grow up in the mean time ourselfs. Where did the time go haha
8:01 it also reminded me of the bunny from season one foreshadowing dead children
Gotta love how destroying the world's strongest military force was an optional side quest that they sped ran.
Just a small portion. Most of the CRM military was not part of the “kill everyone plan”
Great video, Colton!
It shows that you actually watched this show and appreciated it.
I got the sense from Ryan’s videos on this series that he didn’t watch the show. (Okafor 😉)
This was a really good series and I hope that they continue to tell their story, whether it’s a season two or a new series.
This was awesome…also, I’ve rewatched that explosion 6 times already just to see all those CRM goons rag-doll😂
Great work Colton this was an awesome series worth the wait
Definitely can’t wait to see Negan and Rick meet up again
i noticed that the first 3 episodes are titled “years, gone, bye” referring to the time gap between rick waking up in atlanta to the years that went by from the bridge in alexandria to when he ended up in philadelphia
Right lol.
Nicely? They just plot armoured them up and called it a day despite a decade of build up
@mitchelkvedar674 lol you think they'd actually kill them off, the franchise depends on them lol
she had gotten the katana back but left it when she went back to break the "grimes kill record"
Rick's totally gonna miss his knife-hand
Maybe he still has it?
@@perisher7377 he left it in the room where they got the bomb ready and Thorne found it. She appeared to leave it there and ran out to find him.
@@smookypoochoh ye my bad, did we c him having only hand in the last scene, hopefully he can get another
@@perisher7377 sure did. I was hoping we'd see a scene with it but no. I hope he does too cause it was badass and definitely came in handy ****badum tss****
Could have got it back because they also got michones sword back
That last scene had potential to be great, but i think RJ kinda ruined it imo.
Why? I cried. It was beautiful! Who hurt you?
i tried not to think this way but yeah, still I enjoyed it, happy ending
True
RJ was terrible. Good ending tho
Lots of people...
What the hell is an RJ? And where’s Carl?
I almost lost it at the end when he finally got to see the kids and his son was wearing Carl's hat❤❤
You had me at "wife beater Peter". 😂😅😂
Mystery solved
"Rick came back" this brings Daryl home instead of staying in France
I'm still watching but just had to pause for a few minutes to pick my jaw up after Rick just went "Murder Rick" on Beale. I am NOT disappointed one bit! Rick fu€king Grimes!! Catch ya when I finish!
Edit: well I finished it, and still not one bit disappointed. Big props to Gimple (yeah, I said it), Andrew and Danai for the writing, pacing and of course, the acting that brought this "chapter" to its gratifying, heartgrabbing conclusion. Very satisfied.
You do great work Colton.
"We are the ones who live" was said far before the series finale. Michonne started saying that to Rick during the war with Negan, and it became their catchphrase until he left the show.
Loved the ending, wish Rick reunited with more OG’s but I’m happy with it as is
NAILED IT AGAIN SCREEN CRUSH!
This was the ending we all wanted & needed.
I'm really hoping that we get a new series where everyone is back together.
Bunny is throwback to first scene first episode, Eugene at sanctuary season 8, possibly another time also. Can’t remember it .
I want more...I WANT MORE!!...I NEED MORE!
Fingers crossed for TWD S12
Am I the only one who cries like a baby thinking about CARLLLL. And Rick seeing his kids after yearssss!! Feck..got me in the feels so hard
The Daryl Dixon spinoff was way better overall but this was still fun
I’m glad that they reunited with their family but it all just felt rushed, and on top of that RJ didn’t seem excited or emotional at all, great show with a let down of a finale unfortunately
That’s just child actors
He actually was excellent
RJ was bad casting, but that’s really the only issue
It was very disappointing
It is the actor he is pretty terrible even in the main show. At least Carl as a kid actor had some charisma and could emote
Thanks, Colton! Thanks, Brianna! Thanks, Lee! Thanks, Ethan! 🧟♀
Thanks so much!
@@TheTotalRecap You're welcome, honey. 🐣
The last thing I need is for carol, Daryl, Maggie and Negan to reunite with Rick so I can finally sleep. 😴
Good end for Rick and Michonne, but a horrible ending for the CRM
I’ve got to assume that Rick only took out a branch like they are massive surely 2 people in 45 minutes of tv couldn’t have stopped them all. What about the world beyond cast or other taken characters like Heath there’s also suggestions in world beyond that they are tied to stuff happening in France (so maybe they can return in Daryl)
@@blistow3519I hope not
@@Deenique16 how come?
whenever season two happens itll most likely start with what we saw in the opening of episode five with gabriel in the woods seeing the helicopters except now we know the helicopter was rick and michonne and not the crm about to gas alexandria
AMC+ : give us money to see something 24 hours early
12th season with 16/20 episodes to finish it would be amazing. All the spin offs go to the main show.
Yyeeeaa that briefing was not what I was expecting. The ending wasn’t what I expected either.. this is the only episode that I don’t really like
This was a strange episode for me.
I'm happy they finally had a happy ending, after so much chaos ❤
I think The Book Of Carol is based on Carol looking for Daryl to let him know, Rick is home and well ❤ Daryl deals with so much hurt bc he blames himself for Rick's dəªth, so Carol is trying to free him from some burdens... The series crossover, that's what she was attempting to tell him over the radio, "Rick Is Back" ❤
Love IT
Now that there's finally sunshine, there's definitely a storm brewing and I'm here for it...
"The Ones Who Live" comes from the conversation between Rick and Michonne in the Alexandria jail cell from the episode: "Hearts Still Beating" (Season 7 - Episode 8)... Only later, was it heard again in the Finale of Season 11..
It initially came from Season 5, Episode 15, “Try” when Rick was pointing the gun at the Alexandrians.
Thanks! I'll have to check it out.. In the jail cell, Michonne is reminding Rick that he said it.. I just wasn't sure when he did.
Seeing John Locke as a zombie was weird.
Zomb Locke: **shuffles out of the tent, snarls menacingly** "DONT TELL ME WHAT I CANT DO, RICK! **explodes**
Maybe
That was the perfect TWD show i loved every second of it each episode was just 10/10. The ending had me in tears.
My thoughts for what might happen next in the walking dead universe is that the rest of the walking dead other than dead city and Daryl Dixon will carry on from ‘ones who live’ instead of the main series this will be a carry on from the main series just on a different name
Who was flying the chopper I’m still confuse on that one
This must confirm that Carol over the radio to Daryl saying "-ck is back" was indeed Rick?
Like for real Rick actually got hands now 😂😂 I was shocked 😂😂😂
More like he got hand
I like him finding his family
But there are so many other characters that shaped Rick throughout the show that I want to see him with. Like Carol and Daryl😔
I never thought you can get better at things after your hand chopped off. Thanks Rick. 🤭🤣😂
That one walker soldier was Heath ;)
Great review
Hopefully one day the original series will return, I'll be looking forward to it
I was so annoyed that Rick just ditched his iron Fist/blade.
They probs cut it out front eh show due to the time but sucks he still ditched it.
The expression on Rick and Michonne's face once they learn that Judith almost died getting shot by Pamela Milton. It hasn't happened, but I am imagining what that would look like.
you did not breakdown the events and details of the CRM's fall and Change, good vid regardless
Where can I watch it exept amc+ cuz its not avalible in my country
They absolutely killed it!!!
That's exactly what Carmen is wants to do. That's what you have to do to achieve that goal. Lots people have to die.
I saw Shane in the flashback 😭❤️
The walking dead universe will never end
I know everyone likes the happy ending and all, but no way Rick and Michonne survive that massive explosion with just a blankie cover lol. Then Rick survives a point blank grenade blast IN HIS HAND with zero damage. Cmoooon, the plot armor really pulled me out of that ending
I don’t think the grenade was in his hand I think he pulled the pin on one that was hanging on a walkers vest so the pin was in his hand. But I get the point you are making
