I’m sorry you had a bad experience with your bed. I love mine. As for the customer service, I had my bed for about a month past the return window and told them I decided I did not want the split mattress I just wanted the solid one piece, they sent out the other mattress in about a week and did all the exchange for me no charge.
Wow I thought I was the only one! I will say that we didn’t have any tech issues with our bed but you are 100% right about the store models feeling totally different. We have woken up in severe pain for 3 years now because we got stuck feeding into the store’s line of “your body just needs more time to adjust” until it was too late for us to return the mattress.
Glad my husband and I watched your video we were seriously considering purchasing a sleep number bed but won’t be after viewing this. Thank you for your honesty. Will pass this on, company’s like this need to be outed.
Don’t let this change your mind I’ve loved both my Sleep Number beds the California King and the Split King we have now!! The California King was great we just had to flip the mattress under the cover about every 3-6 months plus you have such a great warranty on these beds I don’t understand why he didn’t contact them They would have made it right! We have enjoyed our beds for well over 10 years another thing is taking the time to seriously learn your sleep number if it’s to soft you will hurt when waking up specially if your getting up in your years If it’s to hard same thing It’s no different than a hard or soft mattress the main thing that makes this nice Is if it’s to hard or to soft you can change it A regular mattress you are stuck They have a 15 year warranty on these beds It’s so easy to credit to pay them off I can’t say enough good things about our sleep number bed it’s been great for my back and for my husband having cancer and needing it to lift up Its also a dream for a snorer spouse just lift him up It really works..
We just ordered the iLE Flextop King, of which the equivalent would be the i9. It was $5,800 out the door. It's supposed to have a 25 year warranty if used with the mattress pad.
@Frank Austin No it is not. If you spent $10k for any mattress, you are the problem. I’ve had mine for 7 years. Love it and would buy one again. It’s a top line mattress with an adjustable base.
Wow! Talk about a frustrating experience. How ironic that I had just watched a review where they had mostly good things to say about the iLE series. And then I saw your review and so glad I did. I'm currently sleeping on a Sleep Number mattress that my wife and I bought in 2000. She had cancer at the time and we tried every mattress under the sun to try and find one that would be comfortable for the both of us. Back then they didn't have all of these hybrid beds like the Casper's and The Purple mattress. We found the Sleep Number mattress and that fit the bill. Believe it or not to this day it still looks and works like new. Never had any pump problems, leaks or otherwise. It has a simple remote with an up and down button for each side and an LED readout for the pressure. This is by no means an endorsement for the Sleep Number company. Everything in today's world is made cheaper then it was 20 years ago. I understand that manufacturing defects happen but that's when customer service is suppose to kick in and take care of it. Customer Service is virtually non existent in this day and age. I was actually thinking about getting a new Sleep Number bed since the one I have has been so good but after watching this review I'm rethinking that plan. It seems as though you can't trust the quality of anything these days and mattresses are really hard to shop for. Just my opinion.
I thought I had the oldest Sleep Number bed, bought in 2003! LOL I'm going to try out the new ones, but sometimes the simpler the better. It adjusts with the pump while you are sleeping? I will never go for that. Mine is pretty worn out. We have washed the actual pillow top zip on mattress several times. It didn't really hurt it much. We have moved several times. My head will no longer raise, but my feet do. The other side of my split king did stop working, and I never bothered to get it fixed because I was alone most of the time. And, I am wondering, if the pressure is controlled with the pump, then why do you need a thicker mattress? The price range is very broad, and I am so short a foot warmer would most likely never reach my feet. LOL Isn't it $1,000 more for that feature? I have fibromyalgia, and I do need something very firm and an adjustable base.
@N T @N T clearly you work for sleep number, hence all your dumb ass comments. You have no idea why “the guy in this video” chose the bed he chose. Guess what, I’m his wife and had a first class seat on the shit train you call a bed, it’s ridiculous and overpriced, and clearly from all of your ignorant comments, the sales people are brainwashed as well! Every single comment you have made is simply your view, you weren’t in the store with us, nor at our house, and I’m pretty sure you weren’t on the phone with me 6 times for a total of 5-6 hours, so guess what buddy, shut your face and back to selling your overpriced air mattresses. We will stick with our purple mattress that we haven’t had any of the problems we had with the sleep number! Have a blessed day!
My pump blew up in a power surge and I just used a regular bike pump to pump it back up... still waiting on the new pump though due to supply chain issues.
So sorry you went through this. We got a call aweek before saying our bed would be here between 3:30-6:30. The day of they called and said they would be here at 4. We were also sent a e-mail a week before to download the app on our phones before the delivery men got here. We have had a sleep number bed for 19 year and it stopped pumping up. We went down to the store 3 months ago and bought a new bed and it was well over 7.000 that was on sale and just got it delivered to us yesterday 4-28-2022. It’s a king slit bed and does everything. Even has a snore option/partner in case he snores I can raise the head of his bed without him knowing it.
I am just getting rid of my fifteen year old sleep number bed I bought in 2005. I am buying another bed but not sleep number. I am sure they made them better then. I believe everything you say because almost all companies nowadays will not stand behind their product and try to get you to pay more. Can't believe they tried to charge you 200.00 bucks to take it back. It's still like that on items now. It's defective but you have to send it back and it will cost you yadda yadda. My blood boils at that and I could not do a video without losing my temper and getting a headache. Thank God for your wife, getting the fee waived and glad you finally got a good bed. Great bed. By the way comcast blocked me on their page because I was making a lot of comments about their terrible service I can't do anything on the page now, just like you and sleep number.
I’m sorry you had this experience and I’m not going to contradict you at all. I had one sleep number bed for 20 years moved around for another eight with it in storage and it still worked just fine I’ve actually had another one for 15 years. The first one has a very noisy air compressor it was the first model ever put out the second one the air compressor was very quiet. Now I have a third one and I can’t even hear it when I adjust it. Maybe they gave you the second generation pump for the lower price I don’t know and they were switching over. All I know is I love my sleep number I have back problems and other issues and I sleep for a comfortable one can adjust as needed. I just got married I’m going to buy a split bed so she can raise the side how she wants it because she snores. I snore like a freight train and had surgery for it so I don’t need to worry about it. I do think it’s good that you put your opinion on here and I’m sorry you had this experience. Are used to live in Michigan I don’t know how old this post was. But I would buy it from you if you still have it. But I am sorry that you had this experience you have to find the bed that you really like and that you’re comfortable with. My new wife who is wonderful had the same mattress like you for 20 years she didn’t wanna get rid of it but we moved in together after getting murdered we had to pick something had to go. I will say whatever you buy to replace this make sure you spend the extra money. Unfortunately a good mattress runs between 1220 to $2500 . I had no problem getting used to mine right away. Find a masters that you really like and stick with that brand. Good luck to you can I keep on posting but I love my bad my sleep number. I’ve also had a slip comfort when I was in college, sleep number bought them out. The platters are super heavy duty and they don’t leak like air mattresses different Walmart we’ve had that experience when I first moved to this house and bought air mattresses sleep on the floor to my furniture came. Also if you have any problem to replace everything immediately with no questions asked.Excellent customer service after the sale from sleep number. But again I would love to find out how to get a hold of you I would buy your bed in a heartbeat
After two years the warranty is pro rated air pump $200 3 months later bladder is leaking another $155.00 I ask about the 25 year warranty they said the foam is covered for 25 years.
Hi John, we returned our mattress and bought a purple mattress. Since this video I was seriously injured in a dirt bike accident. My back is now fused T4-T10. There is no way I could have slept on a SN bed. We have a purple mattress now. We loved it so much we purchased a second one for our RV.
Sorry you had a bad experience. I have had my split king 360 smart bed for over three years and love it! We had to drive about 1 1/2 hours to the store and like you said the sales staff is excellent. We did not have to pay a shipping fee and they told us within a 2 hour time frame when they would be here. They were right on time and excellent in setting up the bed. From the first night we have had the best sleep of our lives. A few months ago we had to replace one of the foot warmers and customer service was fantastic!! Once again they gave us a 2 hour window, here on time and not only replaced the foot warmer but went through and checked out all parts of the bed just to make sure everything was working as it should. We would never be without this bed. Best purchase ever!
I cant trust anyone that films with the phone vertically not horizontally. Also you obviously have a cell phone , so go to bed after you turn on your mobile hotspot, BOOM you now have WIFI and a functional bed
sorry about your bad results but I've had mine fore more than 25years and i am replacing it with another just because i want a King Size bed. i had one customer service experience which i would rate *****.
Bought a king years ago and didn't like it from day one. before the 1st month went by, it would leak out completely in about an hour or so. Called "customer support" and they started with their moronic nonsense about "Try it for at least another month before you decide". I replied that if I bought a set of tires and they went flat every hour or so, I would not need to try them for a month to realize there was something wrong. I should have realized that when the bed was delivered, I ended up having to supply the tools and some hardware to complete the install. I noted that their air lines were super cheap and their plastic fittings were total crap. So I hung up and decided to see if I could find the problem and repair it myself. Turned out that the plastic fittings had warped and the little snap together plastic clamps did not hold the air lines tight enough, so the air leaked out. Went to the home hardware center and purchased some brass fittings and stainless hose clamps and replaced the cheapo hose with actual air lines. Bingo!, no more leaks. Their required topper was the next problem and it was like sleeping on a pool raft with a blanket over the top. So, I ordered a 4" pad from a local mattress factory that was 2" of memory foam bonded to 2" of regular closed cell foam and placed it on top of the air mattresses and then zipped the topper over them. The difference was like night and day. Took about three nights for us to figure out the correct pressure for each side and we've never readjusted it since. And that was over 8 years ago. My daughter and Son in law were in the market for a new bed and they tried ours and thought it was the greatest bed they had ever slept on. So they went out and bought the top of the line sleep number bed for right at $4000! Of course, we instantly replaced the air hoses and fittings and installed a foam topper and it has been just fine for just over 2 years. The air pump and mattresses are fine, but the adjustable frame? Well, that's a whole 'nother story. A pair of replacement motors, a bent torque rod from a cracked motor housing (plastic of course), a defective wireless controller assembly and an internally shorted data cable between the motors and the controller assembly. Turns out they only make the mattresses and their frames are from any one of three or four suppliers, all in China, of course. I have rebuilt both of the worm gear drive motor lifters and they work fine, but the cable only works on side of the bed. Can switch the cable and the other side works fine, but there's a "calibration error" cause both sides are not in sync. They told us it would be 5 days before we would even get a return call and if the cable needs to be replaced, it will cost $129.00 and take 6 to 8 weeks to order a replacement from China. Somehow I have a feeling that I'll be making a new cable with an 18 pin parallel connector on one end and a pair of six pin and 2 pin molex connectors on the other. I'm glad I have the technical know-how and the tools and equipment to do all of these electrical and mechanical repairs. but rest assured, it was the last one of these overpriced collections of Chinese garbage we'll buy ever again. The idea is a good one, but the workmanship and parts quality are just about the worst I've ever seen. Internal assembly has double sided tape and hot glue anchoring wires and there were several blown out capacitors and cold or loose solder joints. Looked like some of the work my old first year electronics students used to turn out. No grease on heat sinks, 20% electronic components, single layer phenolic circuit boards, not fiber reinforced as one would expect on $500 plus circuitry in a supposedly "high end" item. So beware! Unless you have a background in electronic control circuits and electromechanical component repair and construction and are prepared to do some deep repair and modification, brace yourself for some serious repair fees and down time waiting on their "expert" techs and installers to fix the problems that will inevitably occur.
Yes, because of his opinion let it stop you from trying it out. Just because it wasn't good for him doesn't mean it won't be good for you. Not everyone is going to have the same experience with every product especially when it comes to beds, there's people that love the Sleep Number and say it's the best bed they've ever owned and there's people that say it's not good at all. What does that tell you? Form your own opinion instead of just living and dying by one opinion alone. They have a 100 night trial for a reason.
einsp227 Thanks for your opinion. However, you made quite an assumption based on minimal details. I have tried Sleep Number. I love it, my husband hates it. Now, based upon this review and others, it seems to me that people who hate it, really hate it. Since my husband will likely not be won over, this is not going to be the bed for us. So then, my reply was not solely based on this review.

I wish I saw this before I bought mine.... I agree... the mattress in the store was completely different than the one which was delivered... I was sore all over from sleep on it for 3 days... Total POS.... At the end of the day...you can put as much foam as you want on top of an air mattress...its still an air mattress.. Plus your stuck with the base as they will not take it back... Hell....I am on hold with them right now... not to mention yesterday I was on hold with them for over 3 hrs.. ANY ONE READING THIS...NEVER BUY A SLEEP NUMBER!
I have had my i8 bed for a year and your pain sounds like an experience I had at first. My side of the bed was deflating thru the night and was feeling in the morning like I was sleeping on a hammock. After some troubleshooting with the bed and no success I finally put my foot down and told them to come pick it up but since my wife's side of the bed was working fine ( and loved it) I was stuck with taking their offer of sending out a new bed and having our initial delivery fee waived plus an additional $800 off the bed which kind of made the whole thing worth it since I now love the bed myself. But my suggestion is to stay away from their "c" beds and go for a m7 or i8. You probably had a c2 bed which like you said it only has 2 inches of padding which is garbage. I am not even sure why they sell those low budget beds since it seems everyone complains about them.
The C2 is their bait and switch to their higher priced and better performing models. If you add a flex base to one of their top end split kings, plus a protector, sheets, delivery and taxes and you are approaching $10K.
My sleep number is between 85 and 95 and I love it can’t sleep on a real soft Max wife is asleep at 35 too soft for me and she loved it. My wife now is a wonderful sweet woman and she likes her bed really self about 30
I couldn't be happier with my bed. I bought 3 different mattresses over the course of 2 years and now have no hip or back pain. It takes a few nights to adjust to the mattress. My air pump is integrated into the base and I can hear an ant cross the room and have never heard the pump adjust! Just like everything in life...there will be things we like and don't like.
A friend of mine bought a Royal mattress, he ordered hybrid they sent him full foam. Which is OK but I told him just look inside unzip the cover and you'll see what it is. Not only it's not a hybrid, this thing came stuffed with some cheap old yellow sponge. 2500 for some old sponge covered with a nice cover.
Glad I saw this!!! and im also from Grand Rapids MN, I was gonna drop 3-4grand on a new one for the labor day sale by this upcoming Monday, so I would love to know what bed you got now tho asap please, I have major major physical problems and hopefully not cancer but could be in my back and another 5 different things very messed up in just my back alone most unfixable or requires major surgeries with high risks even chances of going paralyzed from a few of the back problems and im 28 not knowing if ill make it till 30, but i need to get a new bed like years ago I bought a"tempurepedic" bed that lasted 10-11 years so far but basically shit out on me 2-4 or more years ago and is now like a over-used sponge thats making things even worse for me, luckily I got on disability a couple months ago and can FINALLY NOW AFFORD SOMETHING BETTER!!! So please let me know what mattress you got asap please!!!! Thank you again for your help and saving my ass before wasting every cent I have to my name plus more that I would have had to pay back, so please let me know what mattress you got thank you!!!

I bought ours back in 2004 and have loved it ever since. I have had to replace the foam and even the pump with nothing but fantastic service. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience.
so funny, we had went a couple of years ago, ordered a 4500.00 bed and canceled the next day...just couldn't do it. But we did buy the $100 pillows and just like you said, the pillows we took home with us felt nothing like the pillows in the store...what a scam they have going on.

I love my bed. On my second bed. It changed my life. I have had 2 back surgeries. I never bought the cheapest one. I have had. P5 then i8 my bed has outlasted any pillow top bed plus it feels the same now as it did 7 yrs ago. Have referred 3 friends and got a 100 dollar for each . They all still have their bed. This experience is nothing like mine. So sorry you had this experience.
We bought the Sleep Number C2 and the queen mattress topper from MyPillow. The combination enhanced the whole characteristics of the bed. Amazing comfort, no sunken feeling and still adjustable. Bought my son same combo everywhere he goes he tells people about his bed. Mattress only $1167.56 (with FORCED shipping/setup and taxes). Mattress Topper $297.00. Basically, turned a $1000 bed into a $3500.00 bed. Note: I reused my box springs and frame. Install techs reversed the hoses. Make sure yours are correct or your bed may suck/blow and you do not know why.

This did help me! I was looking for reviews when I watched this... They lost a sale! Good job, thanks for looking out! BTW, which mattress DID you get?
Sorry for the delay, we went with a purple mattress. Since purchasing I was seriously injured in an accident. Broke my back in two places and a laundry list of other bones. My back is fused now, and our purple is the only bed I'll sleep in.
The reason their beds are so expensive is the amount of advertising they do. Anyone in the market for a bed like the Sleep Number, check out Air-Pedic. I bought a top of the line mattress from them for half of what the Sleep Number I10 mattress goes for. Much higher quality components, and great customer service. (No, I don't work for them.) 😄
We have been needing a new bed for years, kept putting it off because a good bed is SO expensive and at our age (50's), hoping it will be our last bed purchase. I have been researching beds for 2 weeks now because it is time to purchase and thanks to you, the sleep number has been crossed off the list! We too thought of it as a "glorified air mattress", but were willing to check them out. Not now. Great honest review, which is what I ALWAYS look for!
I am in my 50’s and we’ve had a sleep number bed for over 10 years. No problems. So comfy. We just got a new one. And again I love it no issues. In case you want other opinion on this bed.
I wish I saw this before I bought mine it came highly recommended by mother inlaw who bought hers many years ago when they were great. Mine goes flat every night.
I've been mattress shopping for a while and for some reason, I never felt right about sleep number. Guess I was right. lol thank you very much for this. Keep up the fight!

Worst customer service that I have ever seen! Even under full warranty they expect the customer to diagnose and fix the problem. I bought it because my wife and I are elderly with bad backs and the person on the phone has me trying to move the bed around and lift the mattress while pulling off hoses and plugging outlets to see what is leaking. When I demand that they get someone to come fix it there is a $107 charge. As I said it is still under the 24 month full coverage.
There is a video here on TH-cam on how to build your own Sleep Number type mattress with a Walmart air mattress, a special air mattress enclosure, and a foam topper. I am going to do that.
That's not what they told me. I said we already have a base and was told "You need our base" and when they came to install, not only did we have to use their base but we still had to use the one we have in addition to it. We were under the impression their base replaced ours and it didn't.
@N T Well after watching this video ... it pretty much looks like a scam. You go to the showroom and you don't get the same equipment that you order. After more research, I found that it pretty cheap material compared to others. So ... I found a better company using the same air chamber and coil mattress that uses better and higher quality materials for less. *The Sleep Number is JUNK and does not protect against mold! *So you see I have done my research!* Looks like Sleep Number pays you to make comments here on this vid! *Man your such a pathetic person!*

I totally agree in process of taking a loss and hope that people take you seriously. If they like it great I absolutely hate mine and they got us for buying dual temp. The store keeps there showroom freezing cold to make you think the beds are cool as well. Fool me once. Total purchase $6721.32 p6 360 bed base and dual temp. I am currently investigating why I'm also allergic it may have mold.
Bought a sleep number 5 years ago, now the bed sinks on the right side, after trouble shooting, they said its the mattress topper. Which is 236 to replace. Its hasn't been 10 years. Sleep number sucks
I agree with NT. Anyone that has gone into the store knows that the C2 has only 2" of comfort layer to it, which isn't much at all unless you're the weight of an 5" anorexic sorority girl. The p5 was perfect for my wife and I.

Just buy a waveless waterbed with the memory foam inside. I have slept on one all my life and have never had any joint problems. I can't sleep on a regular mattress or memory foam, they are so uncomfortable compared to what i have.
I first bought a cheaper one through QVC and that was a terrible experience but I love the one I have now. Their ads do make it seem amazing but I don’t think they make any outrageous medical claims about it curing pain.
The Warranty stinks, on the Sleep number bed, I've had mine for 5 years and one of the bladders developed a leak, so now I have to replace the Bladder, and It is going to cost me $70 and looking at the warranty the longer you have it under warranty the more it costs to get it repaired!
I'm gonna fckn snap. I'm going thru the same shit right now. Just got the damn bed 3 days ago and its horrible. My back hurts worse than before. Feels like I'm sleeping on a bowling ball at (45). I set both sides to the same setting and my side is much different at the exact same setting. We've literally had it 3 days and customer service tells me "You need a p5 or p6 bed based on what you're telling me because the C2 isn't good for back pain." Those just so happen to be a lot more expensive and ironically, the 2 beds on sale thru tomorrow. I asked why the saleswoman didn't tell me that and was told "The sales people don't give out the same information we do." What fckn sense does that make? So after 3 days of sleeping on our brand new $1600 bed, we only have one useable side and my girlfriend is sleeping on the couch. And now they want me to pay $400 to come get this pile of shit! I knew nothing about this beforehand and wish I would've reviewed more before. DON'T BUY THIS MATTRESS! How can I go further to get my story out? These people are making a fortune selling shit beds and making $400 whether u keep it or not.
Omg I'm going thru the same shit right now. Literally just bought it 3 days ago and my gf is already sleeping on the couch. The 2 sides are not the same even at the same setting. On my side I can't go below 35 without my body touching the frame underneath. And above 45 literally feels like a bowling ball underneath my lower back. This is a $1600 mattress? It's unreal. I've never spent more than 300 on a mattress my entire life and lately have had major lower back pain and thought I should spend a little more money. This is worse than our $300 boxed foam mattress. Nothing close to what we laid on in the store.
Wow! A friend of mine just spent over $9000 for his SNB. He told me I should invest in a set and he’s sleeping better than ever in his life! OMG! Amazingly he told me on night two his set was too small to accommodate him and his wife. She now sleeps in another bedroom. Says he got the king size bed so I was puzzled as to why she abandoned their bedroom??? After watching this review I think I understand the true reason. The SNB must not be comfortable to her. I’m guessing he’s telling her to give it a few weeks but to that she’s saying B.S.!
Thank you for posting this video. We were just actually comparing a sleep number to a purple mattress and your honesty about your experience with both (we just watched the purple review) just saved us a lot of time and frustration. Keep doing what you're doing. We're going to like your Facebook page now.

I had spent over $10,000 for my sleep number bed and it’s been a nightmare from the day It was delivered. This bed really sucks the base jams up constantly almost every night. The mattress is tilting to the left. My wife’s mattress is tilting to the right they come they put straps. It breaks they add more foam the same thing happened. They added a new mattress. The same thing happened. Stay away from sleep number beds. It’s nothing but a glorified mattress. I would buy a regular mattress because for the money I spent on the sleep number every three years I can change a regular mattress and have a new mattress every three years. sleep number is pure garbage stay away.
Sleep Number customer service is horrible and based on my experience I would NEVER purchase one of their beds again. I've owned an i10 split king since 2015 and just recently noticed an air leak in one of the chambers. Called two stores in the area and neither of them was helpful. You have to call their 800 number or chat online to get any help. I do not understand that at all. The folks that sell the bed to you can't help you. Not sure if that's true with a brand new bed but it is with one that 6 years old. Once you spend an hour waiting for help on the phone you find out that you can order parts to fix it yourself. That's right, you get to fix it yourself. Apparently having a service tech come out and help you install the parts is off the table. I feel a bit uncomfortable taking something apart that I know nothing about but that's the only option that I have. I ordered the replacement chamber two weeks ago but it hasn't left the warehouse yet. It's not like this is a part that's just nice to have and it's OK if it arrives in a few weeks. This is a part that's integral to the bed and is used every night. So here I am, waiting for parts, not able to get a service tech to help me install those parts with an expensive bed that's unusable. I call that totally unacceptable and lousy customer service. Had I known then what I know now I would never have bought the bed. Don't make the same mistake that I did. Any suggestions for a decent adjustable split king for a person with lower back issues? I would appreciate them.
Sorry for the delay, but yes I'm using my phone as a hotspot. I couldn't just leave my phone in the bedroom so the bed could do it's thing all day and night. All good, we're better off now anyway.
As a letter carrier, I can feel your wife’s pain. Tried a Sleep Number today because my wife who had a back fusion wanted to buy one for 7000$ and the sales person was quick to run my credit and I could feel that I was being hustled but now my wife is upset that why I don’t wanna throw my hard earned money on this crap.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I to am a mail carrier, and have recently been in the market for a new mattress. I seen all the sleep number commercials and thought I would give them a try, that's until I seen your video. It's really hard to find videos of actual customers such as yourself and not paid advertisers. Wonder if sleep number and TH-cam have something to do with that 🤔. What mattress did you end up going with after and is it good for you and your wife? Thanks again

Evan, we went with a purple mattress. We live in Michigan with drastic temp changes. We didn't want memory foam for the heat absorption. Plus I'm a hot sleeper. We loved it so much we bought another for our RV. No matter where we are we sleep the same, and love it!
the people that comment "I’m sorry you had a bad experience with your bed" probably work for sleep number. especially if they use the word experience like Joe West down in the comments thanks for helping me dodge a bullet.
Got our first one 18 years ago, finally had to replace it (because, yes, foam will breakdown from sleeping on it)......got our new one 3 weeks ago.....getting our third one soon. I'll never sleep on anything but a Sleep Number bed.
Welcome to America it’s just not you alone that’s had those type of bad experiences I’ve got one myself end it will not rise on the right side so we’re almost seems like you’re actually sleep on the top of the hill on the left and right goes all the way down so you got to stay on the top of the hill or your roll all the way down the hill onto the right onto the floor other than that you said you had no Internet where are you located city and state I am a tech guy and I am I am looking to enhance Internet service where there is little or no so I need your information for data purposes to make a profile of all the places that need service so badly Thanks I love your video like you said I wish there was more people that could join your Facebook group
He is so right, i bought a bed 3 years ago for SIX thousand dollars with this company and 1. that remote control never works and there is no way to readjust the bed without it because there is no manual buttons on the bed. 2. is that the matresess slide off the base and they look deformed i always have to be lifting the matress to the middle of the bed 3.and the huge gab that is in the mittle of the bed my kids can never lay down with us in bed because they are always falling in that crack, and to top it off 4.my husband hasent been able to sleep on it for more than two hours because his back pain which was why we bough it! 5. I thought that was all until now that iam about to move to another house and call the company to find out how to unhook all this hoses and electric boxes and wires hanging under my bed you will never think this is a bed that is this expensive 6.so that i can be able to move this heavy giant thing out of the house iam, their answer was you need to call the manufactor Laid and Platt. This is very deseaving that i have to be botthering my self to be calling the manufactor for instructions on how put it apart because not even their manual explains how to do it. I really regret spending this much money to have all this problems and the company has a horrendous customer service. so much that i think i may just go purchase a regular matress and be over with this night mare. Dont buy it buy a good quality traditional matress and save your money.
Thanks for this video I was in the sleep store for about an hour ran my credit had to verify but I had to leave the store to get to dinner plans so I was suppose to call back and finish well let’s just say fuck that I am not calling back not getting this product it all makes sense the beds I saw had different pumps they were quite so yeah I can see them coming to your house and not even feeling right
I really like my mattress I have the Sleep Number 360 Limited Edition 10. Even though it's just the air mattress it's a mattress that constantly fills itself up and empties itself according to your likes or dislikes and can do it manually or even automatically while you're sleeping without you doing anything. Also both side of the bed or adjustable which is nice I could put my feet up I could put my head up almost like I'm sitting in a recliner somewhat. Both me and the wife could have our own side I sleep hard and she sleeps on soft. It also keeps me cool at night because I sleep hot and I sweat sometimes and it has the technology to do that which is nice. The app that tells you how well you slept in all of that it's somewhat accurate but it's sometimes off I don't really pay too much attention to that that often but I do use the phone app as a remote because it makes it much easier than the actual remote that the bed came way. And because we have a king size mattress it's a real good side so it's basically like your own twin. You could also put them at the same height and the same Sleep Number and it's like having just one large mattress especially if you have thick comforter or blanket on top. Overall I liked it and it helped my back. I think I paid 2700 for mine on 3rd of July last year 4th of July sale. And I run into quite a few people who really do love these mattresses but there are those who don't as well. To me though I just think they're the most adaptable mattresses especially if you get the adjustable frame. Because you can pretty much do everything that every other type of mattress does. You could have pillow top you could have memory foam you could have adjustable beds and you can have any firmness or softness that you want that would match any other bed.

Oh shit! I was moments away from buying a sleep number bed and as I was doing some research on the beds, I watch your video. Now I’m no longer going to buy a sleep number bed 😂🤣😂
I have had my bed for 12 years and I love this bed more than I can say. We have cut vacations short to get back to my bed. I paid over 4 thousand for my bed it will do everything but wash my dishes. Don't know what went wrong with you but my bed is wonderful.
I am now on my 4th sleep number bed & it is not near as good as the others but cost way more. The one I have now is the Sleep Number 360 Smart bed with Flexfit adjustable base. Wish $2000 was all it cost me. The owner of the store in Naples florida was by far the most rude salesperson I have ever dealt with. An all around bad experience.
I thru away a lot of money...i bought the most expensive one...i slept on the number ..lady told me to use...my hip will probably never be right again. If you are in the market for a bed ....all I can say is don't.
I am very sorry to hear that. Looks like they sold you a rainbow rose (it doesn’t exist). I bet you a nickel your wife sleeps either on her back or on her stomach. The proper way to sleep is on your (or her) side because of the way our spine curves. So, if she hasn’t figured that out yet, ask her to try sleeping on her side for a week, and the pain will go away. By the way, I love Nectar mattress. It doesn’t leak, and offers 365 nights trial and with lifetime warranty. I am not associated with the company in any way. I just think it’s a much better deal than your rainbow rose.

I hit “Like” way at the beginning of the video. But, son of a bitch! You didn’t say one damn swear word. Shit! That must have been f🤫cking hard to do! 🤗🤭🤗. I WAS thinking about trying out a sleep number sleep system. Mainly because I really don’t know what type of mattress to buy. Soft or hard? I’ve always purchased hard in the past. Anyway, I think I’d rather spend three hours trying out mattresses rather than dealing with a service department for three hours. I did try out the mattress at a hotel. I can’t remember what hotel. But, I remember I felt like I was sleeping on a blow up mattress. And I was!
Thanks for this rant, you saved me alot of grief. Have a good life
Glad my husband and I watched your video we were seriously considering purchasing a sleep number bed but won’t be after viewing this.
Seemed like you got a bad apple. My wife and I spent the money on a Sleep Number and bought the top of the range and have had no issues.
We just ordered the iLE Flextop King, of which the equivalent would be the i9. It was $5,800 out the door. It's supposed to have a 25 year warranty if used with the mattress pad.
@Frank Austin only way to get into the 10 grand range is get 2 of the top of the line. I was just in the store 2 days ago.

@@heatherrandall7727 gotta love the irony and hypocrisy of ending a profanity filled tirade like yours with, "have a blessed day". 🤣
@@packnightguy is that sarcasm? Or?
My pump blew up in a power surge and I just used a regular bike pump to pump it back up... still waiting on the new pump though due to supply chain issues.
If you don't have internet, how did you upload this video?
Wish I saw this review before I bought one. Had it for two days and slept on the couch. Not looking forward to calling customer service tomorrow.
It's
defective but you have to send it back and it will cost you yadda yadda.
Thanks for much for this! So glad I came across your review.
So then, my reply was not solely based on this review.
einsp227 I have had good experience with mine I had broke my back ,neck, and hip and need a hard bed slept on the floor a lot my wife likes a soft bed
@N T @N T clearly you work for sleep number, hence all your dumb ass comments. You have no idea why “the guy in this video” chose the bed he chose.
I bought a sleep number about 12 years ago and it wasn't long before I returned it and got a tempur-pedic instead.
The pump btw at the stores...they use 2 and we get one. Longer and a bit more consistent noise.
Ahhhhh I haven’t got my mattress yet! Can I still cancel I do not want this mattress anymore
I have thought about buying a sleep number bed because I have such a terrible time trying to find a good mattress so glad I seen this thank you
Hey, was about to buy one but now not going to take the chance. Thanks! 👍🏼
So what kind of bed did you end up buying after the sleep number that is so great?
My sleep number is between 85 and 95 and I love it can’t sleep on a real soft Max wife is asleep at 35 too soft for me and she loved it. My wife now is a wonderful sweet woman and she likes her bed really self about 30
I couldn't be happier with my bed. I bought 3 different mattresses over the course of 2 years and now have no hip or back pain.
It takes a few nights to adjust to the mattress. My air pump is integrated into the base and I can hear an ant cross the room and have never heard the pump adjust! Just like everything in life...there will be things we like and don't like.
get yourself a serta mattress. just as good
Why would you buy "3 different mattresses over the course of 2 years" if you "couldn't be happier"? Makes no sense.

Thanks for the review - now I’m looking at air pedic
So what bed did you buy?4,5,6,7,8,9?
It was a c2
I got the 9
Thank you for this video, I was about to buy one for $6000 and now I will not be buying one. I really appreciate your feedback.
My experience is about 99.9% same as yours. Number in store was 35. Need a 20 at home. Wife said feels so much different at store.
Thank you for this video! I woke up this morning and canceled my order!
You have to put the caps on when you unplug the air tubes.
Thank you for this review! I appreciate it!
I was about to purchase during their Labor Day sale. That will not be happening. Now to figure out what bed to purchase

Whats the other bed you bought ?
This did help me! I was looking for reviews when I watched this... They lost a sale! Good job, thanks for looking out! BTW, which mattress DID you get?
Don't fckn do it. I just bought a C2 ($1600) 3 days ago and my experience is at the top of this feed.
Sorry for the delay, we went with a purple mattress. Since purchasing I was seriously injured in an accident. Broke my back in two places and a laundry list of other bones. My back is fused now, and our purple is the only bed I'll sleep in.
How about the $10,000 mattress from them? My wife and i tried it today. It was great but dont know if its worth the purchase.
Thank you for this. I was looking for one but not anymore
Thank you for this, it really helps to hear an honest review.
Thanks for the info.....was just about to order one.......thank god I listen to you....Appreciate that
God always gets a capital G.
I wish I saw this before I bought mine it came highly recommended by mother inlaw who bought hers many years ago when they were great. Mine goes flat every night.
Yes I also heard great things about them but they were also many years old. The comments on the FB group just keep getting worse.
I've been mattress shopping for a while and for some reason, I never felt right about sleep number. Guess I was right. lol thank you very much for this. Keep up the fight!
@N T another sleep # employee jumping in. So sad.

You don't have to buy their base if you already have a flat base already. Our former Tempur-Pedic base worked perfectly fine with our Sleep Number.
That's not what they told me. I said we already have a base and was told "You need our base" and when they came to install, not only did we have to use their base but we still had to use the one we have in addition to it. We were under the impression their base replaced ours and it didn't.
According to their website you can order just the mattress without the base.
I don't see how. The pump and control lines are in the base. I know..... I had to change the pump
This is one unhappy person, I feel sorry for his new wife. We’ve had a SN bed for years and love it!
Thanks ... I was going to check them out at the store. Hmmm ... I wonder if a news network would check them out for scam ... ???

Thanks for this man 👍
What mattress did you buy
Bought a sleep number 5 years ago, now the bed sinks on the right side, after trouble shooting, they said its the mattress topper. Which is 236 to replace. Its hasn't been 10 years. Sleep number sucks
I love my i8 split king.its just like the one I checked out in the store.
I got the C 2 and hate it. No comfort level. Buy a air mattress at Walmart. This was great!
I agree with NT. Anyone that has gone into the store knows that the C2 has only 2" of comfort layer to it, which isn't much at all unless you're the weight of an 5" anorexic sorority girl. The p5 was perfect for my wife and I.
We tested every bed and went with the iLE Flextop King. You spend almost a third of your life sleeping. Don't get cheap.

Thx you Sir, i seen several disappointed customers
The c2 was awful. I have a latex topper on it now. Just could not find a comfort level on it.

Does 'turd' count as a swear word?
@N T @N T clearly you work for sleep number, hence all your dumb ass comments. You have no idea why “the guy in this video” chose the bed he chose.
How are you uploading videos without internet . You do know your phone can be a WiFi hotspot
Since this video, my back is now fused. T4-T10 from a dirt bike accident. I can only sleep on our purple mattress.
I like my sleep number bed

He is so right, i bought a bed 3 years ago
for SIX thousand dollars with this company and
1. that remote control never works and there is no way to readjust the bed without it because there is no manual buttons on the bed.
2. is that the matresess slide off the base and they look deformed i always have to be lifting the matress to the middle of the bed
3.and the huge gab that is in the mittle of the bed my kids can never lay down with us in bed because they are always falling in that crack, and to top it off
4.my husband hasent been able to sleep on it for more than two hours because his back pain which was why we bough it!
5. I thought that was all until now that iam about to move to another house and call the company to find out how to unhook all this hoses and electric boxes and wires hanging under my bed you will never think this is a bed that is this expensive
6.so that i can be able to move this heavy giant thing out of the house iam, their answer was you need to call the manufactor Laid and Platt.
Can’t find your FB page?
The link has been added to the video.
Thanks for this video I was in the sleep store for about an hour ran my credit had to verify but I had to leave the store to get to dinner plans so I was suppose to call back and finish well let’s just say fuck that I am not calling back not getting this product it all makes sense the beds I saw had different pumps they were quite so yeah I can see them coming to your house and not even feeling right
So what bed did you get?
I was considering purchasing one of these beds, not anymore. Thanks for the posting.
Thank I was going to buy until I saw this good PSA.
@N T another sleep # employee jumping in. So sad.
Oh shit! I was moments away from buying a sleep number bed and as I was doing some research on the beds, I watch your video. Now I’m no longer going to buy a sleep number bed 😂🤣😂
Thanks buddy
I have had my bed for 12 years and I love this bed more than I can say. We have cut vacations short to get back to my bed. I paid over 4 thousand for my bed it will do everything but wash my dishes. Don't know what went wrong with you but my bed is wonderful.
9k for mine. Ugh.
Sleep number bed? You'd be better off with a Stryker inTouch bed! NOW THOSE BEDS ARE COMFORTABLE!!!!
I hate sleep number beds. Will not buy again and have had so many problems with it.
Returning mine soon.
You might have a bad unit. I bought mine for my wife who was pregnant. We love ours.
you must had a older model not a 360
thanks, i was planning to buy the sleep number until I saw this
, now I won't.

What mattress do you recommend?
And I was!
