CANT Z 506 Airone

Le CANT Z.506 Airone servit comme aéronef de transport et avion postal sur les lignes aériennes "Ala Littoria". Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale il fut utilisé comme avion de reconnaissance, bombardier et avion de sauvetage en mer, par les Regia Aeronautica et Regia Marina, Aeronautica Cobelligerante del Sud, Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana italiennes et la Luftwaffe. The CANT Z.506 Airone established 10 world records in 1936 and another 10 in 1937. During World War II it was used as a reconnaissance aircraft, bomber and air-sea rescue plane, by the Italian Regia Aeronautica and Regia Marina, Aeronautica Cobelligerante del Sud, Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana and the Luftwaffe. General Francos brother died flying one of these during the Spanish civil war .Brave man who deserved more recognition for his South Atlantic crossing in a Dornier Wal flying boat.
