Love this one. On my discharge from the army back in 71, I purchased a 67 383 4 speed for 600 bucks, blue with white.
When I was 13 years old my mother and daddy could have bought me one for $1,600 bucks but I was too young they wouldn't do it they said it was too fast
Those had the nicest dash light set up,nicest even better than any new car or old car.
It was called electroluminescent, expensive to repair but worth it!
was hoping he was going to show it
When I saw this car I just knew it was something special and the under carriage is very clean ,that I did not expect. The body is in very good shape for being 58 yr's of age and wow it's damn near prefect. For I know that she needs some TLC in some areas, but that is expected, for I have been around cars my whole life and I was born under a 48 star flag, so you get the gist of my life. For this Charger in this condition is a very rare car to see and well worth the price.
It is in rare condition because these cheap bodies fell apart or rusted out in a few years
@@chadhaire1711 Yeah, that's why there are not many of them.
Wow Nick one of the most beautifulist cars you've had. That interior is so awesome.
Those back seats fold down.
Dodge had a add for this car where you could put a set of skies in the trunk cause the trunk also folds down. Again beautiful!!!!❤
Check numbers on the block to ensure it's a 383 lots of Charger's came with 361 Big Blocks and they look the same..
People dressed 361 cars up as 383 cars and no ones the wiser..Look on the block below the distributor, you will see it after 2 minutes of looking even someone who doesn't know where it is.
Nice Car!
If I had the money I would go down there right now me and my wife we would rent a car we would buy the car and come back in it that's what I would do I love this car
I wish I was rich ,I would buy it for you....I am playing the powerball tonight so you never know
@@TheGeneral-j8q thank you thank you very much
@@TheGeneral-j8q the thought of it itself my friend is priceless 😎
@@TheGeneral-j8q those words are priceless
😂26k isn't Rich 😊@@TheGeneral-j8q
Pretty nice example of a "66. Engine burns clean. Great interior and under body. Shows nicely. Not a big fan of the '66 but really like this one. I predict a fast sale.
My brother got a "66" when he got back from vietnam...brings back some wonderful memories.
If i had the dough, i would buy it in a heartbeat...😢
Really nice car. It’s going to take a fair amount of money to fix the things that are wrong but at the price you’re asking one probably won’t be in for more than it would be worth. I don’t agree that classic cars are a money pit. I own a 66 Charger, numbers matching, 383 4bbl, automatic transmission, ps, stock drum brakes, factory air all original with 52k actual miles. Bought it from the original owner in 1978. I keep it in my garage, maintain it regularly, drive it regularly and I haven’t had to put a bunch of money into it. Every thing still works perfectly. It’s black with a red interior. I don’t abuse it but I did have to drive it from where I bought it to my home and on the way I passed three semi’s going 55mph back then and all I did was kicked the car down into second and hold it on the floor til it shifted on its own at 105 mph and it just kept climbing. Great car I love it.
I love the dodge charger
I love that interior! The double console with the rear buckets, so cool. Thanks Nick!
when I was nine years old I got a slot car set for Christmas my dad got it from the Dodge dealership down the roadit was this car a red one and a white one!
My dad bought a new 68 dart and got that same slot car set
I got a slot car track for Christmas in 67 with two cars. One was a 66 red Charger and the other was a 66 white Mustang with blue rally stripes. They were about 6 inches long with rubber tires. It came with an oval track, transformer, and pistol like gun control for each car. My Dad and I had hours of fun with that set. My the memories!!!😊🇺🇸👍
OMG!!! I WANT IT YESTERDAY!!! I had a 66 Coronet 500 2dr hardtop!!! You should’ve showed how the partition between the back seat and trunk folds down! You can put a surfboard in there and close the trunk! It would look good beside my 64 Barracuda!
Wasn't a fan of that body style, but I could see someone doing some TLC for it and having a nice cruiser. For the price it's still a 383 , and you can adjust the kickdown.
Finally some Mopars sitting in your lot, Love it!
I love the 1st gen chargers. The interiors are so cool. And that fast back is just sweet as can be.
Wow, there’s a car you don’t see very often. Black on black love it! I always like the split backseat too! Very nice old Mopar Nick! Very cool indeed!😊😎👍🇺🇸🔥
Very nice car. My dad had one when i was kid. 383 4 speed, and it red with black interior. Good ole days
P.S thanks Nick for showing this car so fast.
Good lord what I’d do for that beauty. Why do I have to be broke AND disabled? At least before I had a good job and one of my dream cars. Now I get sick, forced to sell my mustang that I bought brand new, and can’t even drive. This is a gorgeous car. I remember coming to that lot EVERY weekend when I was in college just to walk the lot…
I might be mistaken, but the "old parts" in the trunk is the power steering pump and belt.
That is one of the most beautiful Chrysler products ever made!
That's a really solid 66 charger ,,somebody's goin too get a nice one there 👍 👍 👍 👍
I love this Charger! This will sell quickly! 0:37
Had one of these but the motor was worn down. Still it was so fun to drive. A great outdoor movie car. Would have loved a new one. Mine was 383 also. It did not like rain. It would get condensation under distributor cap.
This is such a great channel to watch, beautiful cars 😍!!!
If i lived near there, I'd be there all the time 😀.
A 66 Charger the ones you never see, also the rear center console and the flipping Headlights that work👀... WOW what a find.
Edit- 7:18 And then I saw a Mitsubishi FTO😱
I think the real Big Block on Chargers, Chrysler's RB engine (RB for raised-block) would be a 440 only. Charger's 383s were B series. Chrysler had 383 as a RB but only in 1959 to 1960. You can find them in Saratogas and Windsors '59 and '60.
I had a 67 charger with a big block 383 in it
Had a '66, 383 magnum, auto. Respectfully fast. Sold it to a brother, he put a 440 Magnum in it, what a differnece.
Front torsion bar is about a turn off. Need to adjust it and it will quit pulling. Had the same thing happen on my 66 Barracuda when we first got it. This is my dream car. Wish we had the money.
Nice car. Clock that went on the front console is missing and it has early 70s Mopar wheels on it. My '73 Challenger had those. Two different eras for sure.
I always loved the 66 charger
Classic 66 Charger ,love the 383 big block and the wheels!! Thanks for the ride Nick!!
These look nice with the sequential taillights 10:45
What a beautiful ride, you don't see these chargers anymore 👍 Nick this won't last long at all 🔥
Good straight car, very nice a few electrical problems but that's not too bad to fix on those probably in the fuse box
Cool.
OMG the headlights work how awesome is that!!
Looks like decent car I would even consider buying it myself although I'm still in the middle of resorting my 68 Notchback Barracuda. I love chargers and 66 is my birthyear although 69 is my favorite. She needs some love, yet you can enjoy it for a while right away. The time will soon come to see what's hidden under that paint and there are some telltale signs of hidden issues including a driver side floor pan.
it has a rubber bungy holding up exhaust on drivers side by fuel tank
I like the fact there isn't much rust on this car at all, a couple bubbles. Just so damn heavy.
Sort out the electrical issues : dash lights, blower motor, brake lights not lighting up correctly and adjust kickdown and you've got a great ride. Nice ride.
I can wait for msple to get where they wanna be and have a raffle for someone to get their dream car🙏🏼👍🏻 i would charish this ride love the body style and imma sucker for hideaway headlights😊 and the black is a perfect choice makes it look menacing 💯👍🏼
It's a business. Not a charity.
@Tartan1206 your opinion and your entitled to it....however nick already spoke on the matter and thought it was a good idea...
First Generation Dodge Charger with triple black option what clean example of a nice classic muscle car
There is a bungee cord holding the driver’s side tail pipe up
Nice car Nick. 66 is not my favorite year. But tbe interior is top shelf in this one.
Kind of nice to see something besides Magnums on it.
Did the gas gage come up? My worry would be with the dash lights...they're really hard to restore on the 66 / 67, the "ring" around each pod illuminates.
I need a 69 charger. Been dreaming of it since I seen them Duke boys... I've seen yall had one, two different times and someone beat me to em both. That's the life of a towboater... lol I'll get one eventually and I hope it's from Maple Motors
If it's on the bucket list you gotta get it. Good luck.
@@eldorado1830 ohhh I'm going to get one one day. It's been my dream since I was a child. I was trying to save up when I was younger for one but then I got married and had children and they jumped to top priority so the dream got put on hold and money got spent. Now my kids are grown and moved on and it's just me and my wife of 28 years and I'm pushing 50 but I will get myself that General Lee before I die.
That’s a great deal for a 66 Charger with a 383? No obvious rust through anywhere. 100 ft paint and chrome? I kept looking for why it was priced so low and other than just being in 1966 running, driving condition I couldn’t see anything. Years and years of grime on the bottom but it hasn’t been restored at all or it’s be 50-70k. Good buy for someone out there.
The red inside the glove box told me why its $24,000 ,its not a bad car it just isn't a good car either
One of my favorites.
Why is the motor painted Ford Blue instead of Dodge orange
Pull to the right? Break grabbing. Sweet car anyway.❤🤠
I own a numbers matching red '66 383 Torqueflite. Perhaps not as sleek as the '68 and up Charger's but still nice. The first generation were a bit smaller and lighter that the later ones. Fairly priced. I also have a #s matching hemi '69. I bought it before the 426's became so expensive. The Torqueflight Mopars were just a bit slower on the strip or track but almost as quick on the street. Neither Gmc's Thm or Ford's Cruisematic were as good as automatics as were the Mopars.
Dodge didn’t have matching numbers on cars in 1966 . They started putting the vin numbers in 1969 on the block.
Yeah, the ORIGINAL Dodge Charger!
Sweeet! It's not going to be there long. There hard to find as nice for the price. A little TLC, and and a sweet ride for sure!!
Thank you
I was expecting more rust to be honest for that price.😁 I used to have to slow fill my 2006 mustang gt until i ditched all the emissions crap for the gas tank. That 66 doesn't have any of that nonsense.
I had a 67 in 73 White with Black interior and Cragers on it The dash lights are neon they have gas in them The back seats and leaner folds down so it's All flat in the back cool car I only have $18,000cash right now if I could sell 90 454ss truck or 97 Corvette I would buy this car
Dad had a maroon one, love it all the way around!
My uncle had a green one just like this and we had tons of fun learning to drive in it as kids.
Had a66 cornet, 500
Back in the days ...I am drewling .by the time I Drive 8 hours to get it will be gone. Thanks Nick.
Nice looking square body charger needs cluster overhauled no guages working but a good summer cruiser had ac under the hood good for a black car
Beautiful car
My first car- 1966 Charger, Canary yellow 318 2bbl. $600
This is a beautiful car and at a great price. This won't last long.
I'm tempted.............
I got 2 horns in a row Nick
Watching these make me wish I could afford one, you have really nice ones sometimes that my mouth waters over, that always sell way too fast
Could not wait for this video!
You have a backup light out on the driver side bro 😹
Was that about 40 feet of exhaust
Woohoo I was right on the horn. Lol I was scared after I seen all the gauges weren't working. Lol
That is sweet...
Wow amazing awesome
Lookin good 👍
There’s one of those sitting in the front yard at a house about five miles from my house complete car wasting away
She's a beauty Nick ! 😁✌
My favorite year
🏆If I could get rid of my other vehicles 🍀 I would definitely like that 👀✌️
Reminds me of the earlier Barracuda!
And the horn works 😊❤ Beautiful car Nick. At that price that won't last 2 days.
Nick this is one sweet ride the back seat makes me think of a barracuda that year
ARM-STRONG STEARING BOX
I sell the dash light drivers for these
Hey it's the bat mobile.
Absolutely love it very nice car all it needs is a 426 or 440 and a few minor things would make it cherry😍 👍🏼
billmcdevitt1298 I'm saying get it now lol
Still looks similar to AMC MARLIN.
Is this the charger from movie bullet
No, that was a '68 with a Hemi, I believe.
she has the mighty TF8/727 transmission down under,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Rare an beautiful ❤️
What a classic but i just don't like this year at all.
Should be sold by now.
Hold for me 3/23/2024
A 66 for 24k? What's wrong here?
BEAutiful!!!
I do have the money. If it was a 4 speed I'd be all over it like flies on a Rump Roast.
Me Likey!
No aftermarket gauges under the dashboard? You're losing your touch Nick. 🤣
1st gen. charger very ugly compared to 2nd gen.
I so need to win the lotto. Holy crap. Just that open and seen like 8 dream cars. Lol always beautiful machines.
SORRY BUD, CAR KINDA LOOKS JUST OK. NEEDS A LOT OF ATTENTION FOR THAT PRICE. THE TRANNY DOESN'T POWER KICKDOWN, RADIO, ODOMETER? WHO KNOWS WHAT'S REALLY ON THAT CLOCK! THANKS FOR THE DRIVE! HOPE YOU GET YOUR MONEY!
