For the price they charge for just a classic chicken sandwich I don't want a dry ass piece of chicken, half of what makes popeyes Chicken Sandwiches so great is when the mayo sort of melts in with tje pickle and steam from the chicken into a creamy delight, that and they sauce both sides.

I went there a couple nights ago, got a 4 piece chicken strip, 2 were inedible, totally dry

The two pickles is an anomaly, I've never had that happen in all my years eating there. Should have gotten the spicy chicken or made it a deluxe with lettuce, tomato, and pepper jack cheese. The regular chicken has no flavor, the spicy is where it's at. Also, if you're going to eat the fast food version, get it at the store fresh. Delivery is basically asking for it to be shitty.

The dredge they use is buttermilk and pickle juice and it's done overnight. I use the juice from old jars of dill pickles and jalapeños to give a little kick. Then fry in peanut oil. (I've never worked there, but that's how I do it and it's pretty spot on.)

I've never had a dry Chik Fil A sandwich, just saying. Usually it's hot and juicy, in some part because it stays warm in that wonderful foil bag.

the seasoning of the chicken is two part, one is the "milk wash" which is a package of ingredients sent from chick fil a cooperate warehouse to the store and then mixed with water, second is their blend of seasoning flour that comes in a bag and you rip and use, first put in the milk wash and then over into the batter. after you flip the first side of the breast youre to push down with your palm on the breast to flatten and even distribute the breast then flip over and give another press at half as hard as the first. then it is put in a pressure cooker at 350 degrees i think for 4 min (grill supervisor from 09-12)

First off, Sam, love your videos. I'm learning a lot from them and am addicted to watching. That said, I noticed something on this one that I gotta point out and if I'm wrong then I apologize. I know some things get taken care of off camera so maybe I'm seeing this wrong but at around the 10 minute mark when you take the chicken from the pan it looks like you transferred it onto the same rack that you'd used to hold the raw chicken without washing it in between. There's flour on the baking sheet so I'm assuming it's the same rack. Since this is a teaching channel you might want to address the issue of cross contamination in your videos and make sure we know you're not letting cooked chicken go on dishes that just held raw chicken. Thanks for everything you're doing. Your videos are having an awesome effect on my eating habits.

I made these for my family tonight and they were a big hit! Only thing I’ll do differently next time is I’ll add more pickle juice to the buttermilk; I think I went a little skimpy on it, but other than that, really good.

The CFA sandwich doesn’t come with sauce, so you can customize the sandwich with your own sauce. They have several different sauces like Buffalo, Ranch, CFA Sauce, Polynesian, BBQ, and Sriracha. They also have hot sauce, honey bbq roasted mustard, and mayo. Not everyone wants just standard mayo on their sandwich.

Came here to say this. Their regular sandwich is plain as fuck. Hell even their Deluxe is sauceless. The only moisture comes from the grease, pickles, and butter on the bun (and lettuce and tomato if you order the deluxe). Tragically missed opportunity that Popeyes totally made up for.

I work at CFA and I can tell you that the sandwich just comes with the pickles, filet, and the toasted buns. You can ask for dipping sauces such as CFA sauce or Polynesian. The pickles were probably poorly displaced but also the pickles do move on the sandwich when it gets put in the bag due to it being placed sideways and also just moved around. I don't really care honestly I'm just commenting because this is one of my forms of communication with this social distancing.

TIP OF THE YEAR-- you do this every time, getting cast food delivered guarantees it to be no good, for God's sake send someone to get VERY FRESH samples. Maximum 10 minutes from the counter. NO DRIVE THRU buy it inside the store "for here' not 'to go'. Its fresher when your able to view it while your in the store. Prep the episode and start RIGHT WHEN it arrives.
