You prolly dont give a shit but does anyone know of a method to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost the login password. I would love any tips you can give me!
As a Lexus man....this RDX is impressive. The screen software is better than the Lexus IMO - It also has apple car play which the RX/NX don't have (yet). I still prefer the interior of the Lexus overall. The Acura emblem on the grill could be a bit bigger (joking). Paint is a nice upgrade, but still not Lexus quality. I prefer the NX exterior styling, although I wouldn't try to change your mind if you prefer the RDX. In a couple years, I can't wait to see Lexus respond to this A+ effort from Acura...welcome back!
I have owned one now for just over a year and was thinking the same… now, this car is unrefined, jerky ride and honestly one of the worst cars I have ever owned… my first and last Acura!
@Apex Lavish , not really, just my realistic observation having observed this car during my year long ownership so far, i have owned many cars up to this point and this one is just one of the worst, simple!
Such a nice re-design. Only a couple of gripes: 1) no lock button on the tail gate 2) can’t lock the doors if another door is open (bmw can, and will beep when all does closed) 3)unsure if new model has power fold mirrors (my 17 Canada elite has power fold) 4) no remote start from key? My 17 has this. 5) no led rear signals Finally has some features from the 15 TLX I had is finally in the RDX. Glad to see the 2009 steering wheel is gone lol! Hmm what to do what to doooooo.
No rear seat slider or back seat recline or tri-zone climate like my Buick Envision 2.0T. Which for 2019 get a 295 lb-ft of torque or more than the RDX.
1) there is a lock button on the tailgate. It's still to the right of the tailgate button 2) hmmm this is true 3) the new models (at least here in the USA) do not have power folding mirrors :( 4) I, too, was shocked that (at least) the Advance model doesn't have remote start on the key. Not everyone wants to add an app just for that. 5) I was a little bummed about the signals being an incandescent bulb. At least the actual brake lights are LED. Another thing I noticed is that the camera on the Base/Tech/ASPEC model RDX is muuucccch better than the one on the Advance model. I'm not sure what the issue is but on the Tech model, the camera looks HD and on the right side of the screen, it shows the parking sensors. I hate how on the Advance model, they crammed the rear & top down view on the left side of the screen and added a camera icon on the right side. That's wasted space to me...but I digress. Just to add some sort of validity to this, I'm a Acura product specialist and we got our first batch of RDX's yesterday. Sorry for the lengthy reply but I hope this answers your concerns/gripes!
Really like this new RDX and will probably purchase one in due time. Mostly want to comment on the review/reviewer here: this outfit does a fantastic job of it. Spontaneous, unscripted rapidfire delivery. Not slick with high (cost) production values. Gives you a chance to enjoy the test in the same first-timer manner. Well done, Redline Reviews.
Just got mine! She goes! Acts like a sports car in Sport + mode! Didn’t take too long to figure out the infotainment system. Mine is Advance package with SH-and. Performance Red Pearl is gorgeous! Loving it already. I think I will be very happy long term.
@@bobnordlie8302 Try the PDK transmission, the best power train for any SUV. Opps that is Porsche #2 in reliability. A real sports SUV with actual luxury. Even the Quadrfoglio(Ferrari designed Chassis and Engine) is second behind Porsche in terms of handling and performance for SUV. See from where I stand if I buy an SUV for $48,000 I don't expect one to handle like a Alfa or Porsche. I'd rather that money go to Ride comfort, interior(You hear 2019 ACURA, why did you use a silly and cheap Korean looking dash/console) features and reliability. If I want something sportier then I buy a real sport SUV, hence Porsche, M5, M3(money pit but good for lease), and QUADROFOGLIO. Not interested in a tacked on half ass effort with a crappy inline 4.
Good job to Acura. Finally a reason to look at this brand rather than just buying a fully loaded honda. It is really well designed and lots of effort was made. This still is cheaper than it's competition as well. I don't like crossovers and SUVs though but I'm excited to see this design trickle down into the sedans like the TLX and ILX.

That underfloor storage in the rear is gonna be great, a real deal spare tire instead of an inflator kit is absolutely great and THANK YOU ACURA FOR GIVING US REAL DEAL EXHAUST PIPES INSTEAD OF FAKE TIPS LIKE THE GERMANS!!! So again, great review Redline!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Loving this new RDX. Acura is back. Can’t wait for Type S trims to come back. Hate your use of the word “cheap” though. Has such a negative connotation to it. I’d prefer you said “not high quality” or “doesn’t feel premium”. Cars with starting prices of $40,000 aren’t cheap lol.
The infotainment system is REALLY good. It has one of the smoothest UIs I have seen. That being said...I wish Acura had some kind of a fully digital instrument panel option like Audi or Mercedes...BUT I still am proud of Acura for putting out one of the best systems out there.
Finally, Acura has taken a step forward. For years it seemed like they were only stepping sideways while the competition blew past them. The interior design makes much more sense here in the less expensive RDX than it does in the NSX which costs more than 3 times as much as a fully spec’d out RDX. I feel like they finally fired whoever was designing the cars previously, and put a team that’s actually passionate with knowledge of Acura’s past. My favorite little touch on the interior are the gauges. The gauge font and style is identical to the gauges on the 02-04 Acura RSX from what I can tell. Now Acura just needs to bring back the integra/RSX.

Drove one today and even though I have no interest in an SUV, it's a nice drive. Seats are very comfortable, the tech is very logical and easy to use. The touch pad is very intuitive and works well. Acceleration is great, relatively agile, though you never forget your are in a crossover/SUV. I just wish Acura treated the TLX with this much thought and effort.
The lines between Honda and Acura should be a little more clear. The back looks like they took it straight off of an accord even the halogen turn signal is the same. A luxury suv in 2018 should have full leds and power everything at this price point. Especially when cheaper brands offer it standard.
"Production of the new RDX, a medium-sized SUV, started recently at a Guangzhou Automobile plant. Previous versions of the model that were sold in China were imported from the U.S...The vehicles themselves will be free from the higher tariffs, although some components will still be imported from the U.S.(East Liberty Ohio)and thus be subject to the levies. Honda expects the new model to be about 20% cheaper than the previous version, which is priced at 399,800 yuan ($57,400)."
Sounds like the Advance Package is the way to go. Foot activated tailgate, and front dampers to make it a more comfortable ride experience. However, I love the Look of the A-Spec in blue, love the look of the 20 inch wheels but, the 19's with more rubber are better for everyday use i.e. curb rash. And, I wish the engine had a little more power like 305+ horsepower would have been nice.
Alvin Gayo i’d be willing to bet it will happen in the next few years. Look at how many new sub compact suvs are being released, more luxury brands will likely follow in the footsteps of audi q3, mb gla, etc
I surely agree. What a Marvelous Review and Host! Congratulations on both. Yes, the A-Spec Acura looks spectacular in all regards. USNews.com has said it has the nicest cabin in its class.
Acura/Honda has pulled off a great replacement for the now defunct, original Infiniti QX50. This makes a great replacement for those wanting something...similar. The fun factor is still better in the Infiniti QX50/QX70 series, but now that Infiniti/Nissan wants to play with the Germans, this Acura is the winner over its other Japanese counterparts (as mentioned too in the video). Excellent job with the review, Redline.
The acura RDX is probably the best used car buy of any luxury japanese model. Their 5 year resale value is at 45%, so if you bought it new you're out of luck, but you can essentially get a 55k car with lease milage for 30k or less

Beginning theme song is enough to motivate a buyer
fooltube9999 yeah that was DOPE!
Thank god....Acura has finally made something besides the NSX that looks good. The blue one is absolutely gorgeous.
Come on Acura you have a full LED light set up except for your rear turn signals! The Honda CRV even has a LED rear turn signal. Don’t cheap out!
Don't bother bragging about LEDs in cheap cars. I have seen enough Hyndais and others with burned out LED daytime running lights.
alan mail honestly ive noticed that too a lot korean cars especially the lights burn out quick
geosh10
You: “Acura! Don’t cheap out!”
Acura: “am I a joke to you?”
Congrats on 400k!
Best Acura yet.
John Rhee That is not saying much...
Congratulations on your 500k subscribers!! I had to watch this video again (this will be my next vehicle purchase)
Advance costs the most but has some weak wheels. Agree the lack of adaptive dampers on the sporty trim is a mistake.
Bruno TaTa what do you mean by weak wheels?
Gotta spend $$ for the better wheel options but that’s a dealer install..
I actually think the Advance wheels are the worst looking option.
Man that interior is amazing
Yeah looks like a SCION or budget KIA the center console/dash
Finally the turbo is back in the RDX. When the RDX first came out it was already an enthusiast model.
im just so glad theyre making a type S variants i caant wait to see the tlx with that V6 turbo hopefully with a manual
thought it was v6 twin turbo i heard? or just turbo? lol
Ot Smalls idk they just put V6 turbo guess we'll know when they talk more of it
Ot Smalls most likely single turbocharged... It’s prolly gonna use a similar turbo to the Civic Type R, but a slightly bigger turbo
V6tt is proposed for new platforms.
I need the details of this V6 Turbo I need it nowww
Acura are the Torque/HP ratio kings!!!!
The lines between Honda and Acura should be a little more clear. The back looks like they took it straight off of an accord even the halogen turn signal is the same. A luxury suv in 2018 should have full leds and power everything at this price point. Especially when cheaper brands offer it standard.
really nice.. I like that most add on's are included and no need to upgrade
Seriously...no LED turn signals for the tail lights? Kinda disappointing.
HK I do find that weird
Nickoy1 Channel why not. Even headlights are led. How much more will it cost them to just add led turns.
You can just swap them for led bulbs unless it kills you to do that
It's Acura not suprised
@@eddiejr3934 and then you need a hyperblink module to deal with the low voltage draw.
Now, Acura is somewhat back in the game--- I believe the Type-S line is due for a return as well.
626KiDD Car & Driver says good update, but slower than the outgoing model.
Yes finally!!!! Don’t care of the cost getting it in December hands down no questions asked.
Michael Martinez Even the
2019 Buick Envision has 295 lb-ft of torque.
Hopefully the Type-S comes out soon
Norm T but Buick sucks lol nobody wants that trash except old people
I have always been a Lexus fan. But today’s Acura is just getting better and better.
Nice! If only they can bring the Acura CDX to the US!!
Alvin Gayo i’d be willing to bet it will happen in the next few years. Look at how many new sub compact suvs are being released, more luxury brands will likely follow in the footsteps of audi q3, mb gla, etc
No CD-X until redesign or else it would have been here already.
Alvin Gayo this kinda looks like a CDX a bit
Thanks for a great review! Picking up my A spec in two days....
Great review and content. This guy is great with his delivery and narrative pace. Just earned a subscribe ! By far the best host
I surely agree. What a Marvelous Review and Host! Congratulations on both. Yes, the A-Spec Acura looks spectacular in all regards. USNews.com has said it has the nicest cabin in its class.
Pure awesomeness! Acura is back.
Whelp, looks like I'm spending $50k
jcardona1 well spent.
Wait for the type S
It's nice but not 50k nice.
jcardona1 it won't last long
Whelp I know what I'm touching myself to later
Acura killed it with this new version of the RDX! And you guys killed it too with such a nice review 💪😉👍
I really cannot wait for the Type S variants to pop out now.
That infotainment is definitely a learning curve from the watching the video. Other than that, looks good especially in that blue color!
The infotainment is actually quite intuitive although the voice recognition is so awesome I’m not sure why you would bother with the true touch pad
I love how they made the acceleration sound like a V6
Acura REALLY needs a new RSX
One word. WOW.
....Great job Acura!
Imagine this car with a Type R variant, holy hell! A 90's teen dream for a daddy mobile.
you guys always pick such dank opening music
The good type of dank. Not the bad dank.
Yes 12am on the dot!
Love my RDX , just made 1 year of ownership , haven’t had any problems thus far. Only Negative comment is the Gas Mileage.
what year rdx you have? any transmission issues? AWD ? or front wheel drive?
@@angelbluerider9588 AWD 2020 , no problems till this day
It looks so amazing ugh I want to get rid of my 2018 now lol!
Arnel Abendanio
Should've waited a year, sucka......lol!
Sabari LOLOLOLOLOLOL
The acura RDX is probably the best used car buy of any luxury japanese model. Their 5 year resale value is at 45%, so if you bought it new you're out of luck, but you can essentially get a 55k car with lease milage for 30k or less
I’m gonna buy one next year
Seems like a great vehicle. All it needs now is a supercharged V6 performance version
