Or just general reliability. So frustrating to see a Jeep Grand Cherokee review talking about how luxurious it is when you know its going to rattle like a cheap piece of shit after 25k miles.

@@panzrwagn The Japanese cars are better value than the European cars--comparable quality at, typically, at a lower price. I have an older Infinity--built in Japan--and it has been fantastic. I want a car built in Japan or Germany, not Mexico--but I think a lot of cars sold in America now are made in Mexico, yes? Maybe the quality of Mexico-built cars is fine--not sure--but Japan is better.

@@richardernsberger5692 These days, any company is capable of building to any quality level in any factory and in any country. It's all a matter of the quality and training the company wants to invest in their people and their product. Acura builds their NSX engines - production and competition - in Ohio. VW builds their GTIs for Western Hemisphere in Mexico. My 2016 GTI has had exactly zero defects, flaws, or any other issues except a factory recall that's not function of build location.

I just bought an RDX yesterday and so far I really like it. Very roomy interior, very good throaty (although artificially enhanced) sounding acceleration, excellent Sound system! The brake pedal feels a bit ‘undefined’ but you’ll get used to it quickly. Overall very happy with the purchase, also looked at the Audi Q5&3, MB GLC, BMW X3 & Volvo XC60. While my personal favorite was actually the redesigned Audi Q3 my wife wanted the RDX since we already have one Audi and she doesn’t like some of the annoying beeps and weird behavior of the Audi.

I just bought the last RDX tech version from a dealer here in SW Florida (10/21). Very beautiful interior, engine noise is a little noticeable during acceleration compared to my Audi, and gear shifting is slightly noticeable but not a deal killer. But for the price point I was pleasantly surprised (even though I had to pay almost msrp given the times we are in) at what was in the rdx package. I have watched several videos on utilizing the dash components and took care of the garage opener without problem. My sales person was excellent.

There's something ironic about Roman criticizing the gear shift operation in the RDX as "not intuitive". This channel (Nathan and Roman) has been whining about Honda/Acura's move to button-controlled gearshifting for awhile now. Would they hop in a Ferrari and dare say the same thing? Of course not. And what is "intuitive" about gearshifting? The act of gearshifting has evolved over decades. It used to be "intuitive" to grab a stalk sticking out from the steering column, pull towards yourself, and shift gears. Then it evolved to the floor-mounted shifter and those became "intuitive". Now, Mercedes has gone mostly to the steering-column mounted electronic shifter again, but Roman didn't criticize this for being "non-intuitive". Nor did he criticize BMW's or Audi's gearshifters from not going through the usual physical detents that used to be "intuitive". The point is, gear shifting using a gear shift knob only became intuitive because it was prevalent and the technology for a while. Technology has advanced and now there are various different ways to shift gears.

For all of the other cars you said "let's give it the beans", then you commented on performance and smoothness of the acceleration. For the RDX it appeared the video was edited and your comments about acceleration were cut out?? Were you disappointed? How could that be cut out of the video??? I'm asking because I test drove the RDX and there seem to be some turbo delay compared to all of the other cars. So, I would have been very interested in your opinion on acceleration. Maybe you can provide that info by responding on this post. Thx

I just test drove all of those cars except the RDX and wound up leasing a RWD GLC 300. It sends 100% of the power to the rear wheels 100% of the time, and weighs nearly 300 Lbs less than the AWD version. When I turn in and give it the beans - I feel that satisfying polar moment of inertia - that you only get with a rear drive vehicle having a longitudinally oriented engine. It's actually kind of an old school configuration which I prefer. Btw, the interior and that Burmester Audio are amazing.

I test drove the Volvo, Mercedes and BMW and ended up buying the 2019 BMW M Sport package. can say that I am extremely happy with my choice. I think in my opinion the volvo's technology package is better then every SUV out there currently. the BMW drives the best if your looking for sport. the Volvo is the most comfortable ride but def not as sporty. The Mercedes GLC 300 will probably end up being the best when they update the technology package to match the GLE and higher models. Thats the only thing that kept me from buying the Mercedes. only complaint about the BMW X3 is it doesn't offer remote start unless you upgrade to an X5 or higher models.

BMW shifting makes the most sense which is why I think Camaros shift the same way. During acceleration, the driver is pulled back; hence to upshift you pull since you're pulled by the car. In contrast, while braking, the driver is pushed forward, so downshifting by pushing the lever forward makes sense.

Yeah, I don't think you're going to find anything better than the RX350 if those are your main preferences. The Infiniti QX60 is really nice and comfortable but it won't be more reliable than the Lexus with the QX having a CVT.
The only other vehicles I can think of would be a Honda Pilot or Acura MDX. I heard those ride really easy too.
But, I still think I'd go for a used RX350. Those things are just beyond bullet proof!

Love the channel and really enjoy your reviews. Unfortunately, you reversed the specs of the Q5, it actually has 252 HP and 273 lb-ft. You reversed them when you reference the power of the 2 liter engine. Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Switched the HP and Tor numbers on the Q5. It's not FWD biased. It's AWD to start from every standstill, and only becomes FWD when AWD is not needed. He makes it sound like a reactive system but if it needs to be AWD it already will be (work for Audi in Canada).

Kind of sad you dont know why the shifter is setup that way when you review cars.
BMW is a sporty car. The shifter is setup like a sequential race gear. When you come to a corner and brake, you downshift by pushing forward like everything else in the car.
When you accelerate you pull back on the shifter.. That way you are following the the way the weight is moving. This absolutely the best setup.. I had a VW and is just felt so weird having to push the shifter forward in manual mode during acceleration.

Nothing about the acceleration of the RDX, no comment about the interior styling, trunk space, infotainment system, and no comment about the ride quality either? What was the point of this video? Honda should demand a reimbursement because you didn’t review the RDX. You gave us nothing! Please don’t participate in such events if you can’t be honest. 3 months ago I test drove several suv's. From my original plan of purchasing an all encompassing vehicle, that all changed when my wife and I test drove the 2020 RDX A-spec! I suddenly realized I wanted something exciting and sporty, the hell with towing capacity and room for lot's of people! lol When i first sat in an RDX I felt like I was in a fighter jet! Love the big knob that says, dial me up and blast off!!! Did not get that feeling in the other suv's. When I put the pedal down, I felt much more excited than when I test drove the other's (those crazy humps on the hood say, get the F*** out of my way before I eat you!!!. The final point that made me sign on the dotted line was my wife's interest and love for this vehicle in pearl black and red leather seats that sent her over the top, after decades of not giving a damn about cars! Oh, and let's not forget that fantastic ELS stereo sound!!! ...but that's just me...lol ps...I love the push button trans...tired of the shifter!

I love the interior design push button transmission, the cubby under the transmission, the vertical vents, infotainment control pad( I don’t mind that it’s not touched screen because I wouldn’t want to see fingerprints on the monitor) and the speed and how well it handles. My only complaint would be it’s not fuel efficient but other than that I have no issues. I also love the els sound system and all the driving features it offers.
