I went to high school with this dude. Haven’t talked to him since. Played football with him, even then he was a different breed of dude. A little off, smart, tough as nails. The real deal.
I enjoyed hearing this story way more than I thought I was going to. What a wild chain of events lol. Daniel is a great talker/stiry teller, and really good interviewing/question asking to move the story. Awesome work guys
I swear I remember reading about the Serbia incident on the wikipedia page for Spear Operations Group after the Dale Comstock episode where they talked about this, but that part is not included in the wiki anymore and doesnt show up in the edit history.
To the TH-cam guy who might read this, I hope you have bad dreams and can’t sleep. As many ads that I had to sit through during this episode, it’s ridiculous that you aren’t paying the team house. 🦒
Actually a lot channels with content similar to this are running into issues with monetization after changes in Alphabets restructuring of how adsense pay outs structures etc...
As someone who has never served I have a thoroughly unimportant general question about the military. It seems that in the last 15 or 20 years, in press conferences the military has started mispronouncing “military cache.” They are pronouncing it as kaShā (which would be spelled cachet and means respected or admired). Cache should be pronounced cash. Weapons cache, computer cache. I find it embarrassing for the country when a General mispronounces the word in a press conference. Once again I know this unimportant and I’m not trying to knock anyone. Just trying to find out if anyone knows how or why that happened.
@@Bizarreparade once the generals start mispronouncing everyone else kind of has to fall in line so as not to piss off a General. Interesting one officer could have caused the whole thing. 😂😂😂
He's obviously saying "Nikola", not Nikolai. Sometimes in Serbia Nikolai is used but realistically not really since it's basically old Slavic language for modern Nikola. In Russia there is a lot of Nikolai's tho, in Ukraine for example Nikola is Mikola etc.
Well…this was freaking interesting. Welcome home frogman. I once got scammed in a used car deal by a first generation Serbian American who served in the army in Iraq, and then later owned a weed extracts company in Denver. I had flown in from Texas to buy the car and drive it back. He had lied to me about a fresh head gasket that he had a receipt for… The head gasket was actually blown, but I trusted the papers that he gave me and his word instead of checking the coolant myself. That was the second car deal where I either got scammed, or there was an attempted scam by an Eastern European guy. The other guy was Slovenian…
Good info. I like his story about not wanting to hang out with nerds even though he was smart, lol. I had to get the SOF bug out of my system before I went to flight school for the exact same reason. Good stuff.
Could you guys please consider not laughing directly into the mic. Its irritable hearing that when listening to your pod before sleep. Anyways good pod. Thanks

It's interesting if not important. I know slang words, and small seemingly unimportant inside jokes spread faster than wildfire in the military

What an interesting point! I will admit that I have started pronouncing douche as doo-shay instead of doosh. I feel it makes more of an impact.
was Malachi the infamous Avraham Golan?
Undoubtably
I was hoping he would have stories of working with Dale Comstock (American Badass), but I guess their time didnt overlap.
It did, Dale said he was a good dude, but did not how to do basic stuff like riding a dirt bike.
Malichai right?
Recently caught anither show with Dale where he talks about Billy Waugh in the Afghanistan 😂
Great show!!!
What’s up with those headphones
Thanks for Your service! It takes a special breed to perform ar that level. My buddy Sgt. Whitey was such a man. For 6 years in country.

Isn't Isaak the SEAL that shot BUD's students when he was an instructor at SQT? Pretty sure he was booted from the military after that.
really very interesting!
Such a cool life story
i think most of us know who that army/80's pxrnstar/operator guy was.

Is the bald dude drunk?
How is it that every SEAL is the youngest guy?? Don’t mind DJ Shipley.

But why was he really in Serbia, that is the question.
He was sent there to get "dirt" on a certain citizen that they were trying to "turn". Bout as much as you can know.
He was investigating a terrorist financier for a private contracting company
