Been an Iron Maiden fan for 40 years.. Dan Nails this... Victor is fabulous and a shout out to Fear the Beardo for the intro.. this is so close to the original Bruce Dickenson on the original, production was brilliant and a great choice to use sepia colour, gives it the 40 yr old feel
Dan Vasc is incredible. Glad to see you checking him out. It isn't easy for anyone to do a cover of an Iron Maiden song and even more rare for them to do it justice. You should hear his metal singer rendition of Amazing Grace. If you haven't checked out much or any Iron Maiden, give Fear of the Dark or Hallowed Be They Name a spin.

The triple 6 number is from the Book of Revelation; Hebrew letters apparently have numerical value as well and the Antichrist's name can be inferred; some think it referred to Emperor Nero, some to the Antichrist to come; or perhaps both. In any case this is song in my opinion is a warning of the power and prevalence of evil and its allure. Dan and Victor in no way soften this message; they put it out there in black and white. They are both at the top of their game here; shout of also to Beardo who read the intro; his deep voice is perfect for this.

Nothing wrong with covers. Heck, even Disturb's most popular song is a Simon & Garfunkle cover. David struggled to make it his own sound. His editor took over after David gave up & the results have made us all cry ever since, including David. (His editor spliced together David's attempts into one magically strong rendition).
