Hi, I am a Guatemalan chef and it is funny to see this video with such sophistication on dark chocolate since they are common street food in my country. They are called "chocobananos" and they are an affordable and all year round common street dessert enjoyed by everyone. Different from your recipe, they are usually coated with rich dense milk chocolate and we tend to prefer very ripe bananas to make them. Also it is very common to freeze the whole fruit and top it with peanut chunks. Thanks.

How do they make it? What chocolate do they use? I want to make this the Guatemalan way!!! What is "rich milk chocolate?" Do you have a recipe

I usually buy my chocolate from a website called chocosphere. I use quite a few different brands - Guittard, Lindt, Valrhona, Newman's Own, and Green & Black's.

And depending of the kind of oil you use (and it's a tiny amount anyway), canola oil for example, is a healthy kind. If you use darker chocolate, it contains lots of antioxidants, which are very good for you.
So yeah, it's a pretty healthy snack. The key is moderation.

I think I may make these and get some peanut butter chips to dip the banana's in, let them harden and then dip them again in milk chocolate. Yep.
