I've been using almost the same recipe for years! My all time favorite cake. Funny thing though, when I was pregnant with both of my girls I hated anything chocolate or coffee 😳 thank Goodness all taste buds go back to normal after babies!! You look great Natasha!

You can make the layers before and leave them at room temp in a plastic bag for a few days without frosting of course.

its neither. I usually microwave my milk for 30-40 sec and make sure its not hot but warm.

No, but room-temperature eggs help to incorporate well into the batter (without over-mixing).
