This space was so empty so I felt compelled to add some variety!! ✔ Thanks for sharing as always Em, very much appreciated! 🥇 Haha fun stuff out exploring for some specimen to enjoy, I always personally love the actual hunt, really fulfills something with me that I need to help keep me happy and am grateful for those who share their hunts here with us nerdy Tubers.🤷‍♂️🤔 Hope you're doing well and that you have a super weekend ahead! Smile big~

It's amazing how many sea creatures were around all those millions of years ago in the silurian period. I had the opportunity to collect some silurian fossils myself this summer and I managed to find a partial trilobite and an orthocone fragment.

Em: A great read regarding Shropshire geology/paleontology is “Siluria Revisited-A Field Guide” by David C. Ray (editor). Good to see you romping about in older strata. Still, it must be difficult to break away from the magnificent fauna of Britain’s Jurassic. There is something mesmerizing, almost addictive, about ammonites!

Funny right now, because this weekend I'm virtually attending and presenting at the British Micromount Symposium in Leicester. Only issue is I have to be up by 3am my time to make the 9am opening.... :\

Looks like a Phlogophora meticulosa. ^^
Edit: and a Pararge aegeria with a spider to the right of it that you missed =P can't quite see what it is though.

Try putting them in vineger or other acids. if the weather out like that it seems to indicate that the fossils are more resistant. Do you have access to a sand blasting machine for fossils?
