I've been to the hut and quarry for the last three years. I absolutely love it there. This year I probably spent the least time in the quarry over the 4 days I stayed at the hut but had the most success. I mostly concentrated on picking apart the cliffs rather than breaking rocks that were already loose. I'll be back next summer and every year until I get a huge and complete trilobite. I enjoyed your video, so thanks very much.
Nice video, Chris. Mine will be up when I have time to edit it! You identified the wrong mountains, I'm afraid - you can see the Brecon Beacons from there, but not Snowdonia.
Nice to see a video focusing on something other than ammonites and belemnites. Shame it’s so hard to find a whole specimen. I loved fossils as a kid but unfortunately Cornwall was devoid of them. I bought a whole trilobite from a fossil collector in Cornwall for a fiver. It was in perfect condition and had come from Utah.
going this weekend, can't wait

UKAFH run a hunt there once a year so could book a day trip for next year. Or book a stay in the cabin. It's a beautiful place

Thanks. I do enjoy other time periods than the mesozoic! UKAFH run an annual trip there, I think the next one is the 20th Jan.
Sorry but Your panning is way too choppy
Appreciate the feedback. I do need to improve on the camerawork! Hope you enjoyed the video anyway!
