Hey Chris. I have a 2018 titan and they have a factory remote starter. It's 350 cdn . It comes with a hood latch and 4 button fobs. The hood latch has a sensor and then the dealer just programs the computer. It already has a provision from factory for remote start.
Absolutely an option! I consider this when I bought my truck but the aftermarket system I got was cheaper and works just fine. Either way, the remote start is definitely worth the money!
Appreciate the 411 thank you for sharing about your Titan. I had a 2004 Titan when they first came out and I do like the shifter being on the console area rather than the column area. I’m in the market for a Nissan Titan again. we will see what happens. PS is that the Nissan motor running on your video Theme? Sounds awesome💪🏼👍🏼
100% on the dash cam. I just installed one in my 2018 after someone changed lanes into me and I got stuck paying for my repairs. The other driver told the officer we must have changed lanes at the same time. Dash cam could have corrected that statement easy enough.
I have a 2017 and I love the heck out of it. The only issue I have had is the air blows great on the passenger side and not so good on the driver side.
The factory MAF is able to account for slight changes in incoming air, but these cold air intakes on already short ram air systems from the factory don't do much for performance at all, no current availability for ECU programming as uprev of hasn't yet come out with anything. Only cool noise and washable filter, no real performance. Gains on any Gen 2 Titan
I was not interested in exhaust work at all on my Titan until I watched this video. Your truck sounds great. I like my quiet truck but your truck sounds excellent, how is normal driving in the cab as far as noise level vs stock?
I honestly think Nissan nailed it with this exhaust. You get a bit more base and growl in the cab, but effectively no drone (at least when unloaded). By far the happiest compromise exhaust I've ever had
Back up camera mod....will it help with a trailer hitch? Mine currently I canrlt see how far away I am and when I am under it. That is my biggest issue with the truck, will the new camera help this?
The newer camera is a slightly higher resolution, making seeing the trailer hitch a bit easier. Thi biggest difference I've noticed is at night, with significantly better low light visibility
From what I read on the forums, there is more to it than just the head unit when trying to stay OEM and upgrading to the Android auto capability. There are a few kids that make it possible to switch to an aftermarket manufacturer head unit and retain most of the factory options which seem to be a better fit honestly
That is what I am looking for, I recently bought 2018 titan prox4 and I love it, all exept the head unit, I want the ability to connect with android auto but I dont want to upgrade to a 13 inch screen that assumes the controls of my A/C, heater, defrost etc...I would like to leave those controls and just upgrade the unit itself. I will keep looking, but if you have any suggestions id appreciate it, Thanks in advance @@4KMotoring
@@DavidAlcaraz-rx3fd I've used the Pioneer NEX head units in a couple other vehicles and have been very happy with them, very comparable screen size to stock. Check out my Corvette head unit video for comparison
How has the StartX Remote start been working for you? Reliable. Does the car automatically cut off if not engaged by certain time? Also does the truck stay locked? Also does the A/C and heater work with remote start! Thanks in advance!
It is super reliable, it automatically shuts off after either 15 or 20 minutes. If not engaged, the truck stays locked the whole time and the brake pedal kills the engine if the key is not detected. The only problem is the blower will work but the AC will not engage.
What real world mpg are you getting? Me specifically Highway around 60-70 mpg? Thinking about picking one of these up as my next work truck before they don’t make ‘em anymore
In the pro4x trim with AT tires, 16-17mpg in that speed range, it really drops off as you approach 70. The other trims have a bit better aero and more efficient tires, so they'll see 18-19mpg
Although some modes seem like they're worth it I'm glad to watch your video and realize I will be just fine without them
New to me
2017 Titan Pro 4x
changed my brake pads today on my 2018 titan , feels good
How many miles did they last?

That's an interesting problem, I'm not sure if that's a clogged cabin air filter or a blend door problem
Did you ever figure this out?
You get the k&n hp gain after remaining the ecu, the intake by itself don't do anything as air to fuel ratio has changed

Does your truck have forward collision protection (AEB) ? I wanna install the 20" in my lower billet but thays where the radio frequency divice is...
Nope, the 2018 didn't have the radar sensor in the lower grille. You're not really going to have that option if your truck came with radar

Can you see inside the bed of your truck with that camera? To see the gooseneck hitch?
Yes! The field of crew is easily adjusted from simply swiping up and down on the screen, with good view of the gooseneck hitch in bed
Anybody have any info on Android Auto OEM head unit? I would like to stay factory, I would like to put in a 2019 unit...

The k&n doesn’t really do anything but makes a cool noise and makes me feel good. Lmao so true that’s why I did it too

Made them both throw codes after about 20k miles. Drove me nuts.
But they sounded amazing. Hahaha

@@4KMotoring thanks for the feedback. I’m assuming the AC engages after you press the Start button once in the truck?
@@earnestlowe9601 All you have to do is hit the brake once you're in the truck. As long as you have the key with you and the AC starts engaging
