  • In the heart of Yorkshire's lush countryside, our channel, Yorkshire Farming, is dedicated to sharing the ins and outs of modern dairy farming with a touch of tradition. Our latest video, "Zero Grazing: Solves the Problem!! A Game-Changer for Farming Success!" dives deep into the innovative farming technique of zero grazing, a method that has revolutionized the way we approach dairy farming. 🚜🌾
Zero grazing, a system where cows are fed fresh grass cut and brought to them rather than grazing in the fields, has proven to be a game-changer for our farm. This video explores how zero grazing not only enhances the welfare of our cows but also boosts milk production and improves the overall sustainability of our farming practices. 🐄💚
Join us, Richard Wheelwright, his son Simon, and the wise oversight of Edward, as we take you through the benefits and challenges of implementing zero grazing on our farm. From the lush green fields of Halifax to the high-tech milking parlors powered by Lely Robots, discover how Yorkshire Farming is setting new standards in the dairy industry. Don't forget to hit the like button, share with friends, and subscribe for more insights into the future of farming! 🌟📹

Wow. That is brilliant. The problem we have is the ground is saturated and will take a few weeks to become workable. Well done on getting your cows out. 👍

If your drums are turning towards each other, the knives on the drum are in the wrong direction. You have a left where a right should be or vice versa. The leading edge in the direction of blade travel needs to be the low side.

You're lucky it started raining here in West Wales July 23 and been pissing down since 2/3 dry here and there can't get f all done we're all going mad and when it changes probably be a bloody drought 😢😢

From some of the comments. It seems a little mixed on conditions. The south seems to be about 2/3 dryer than your farms in west wales. We are on the same as you and probably about just 1/4 dry. The third is just a no go. I have never known it so deeply wet on the land. Thanks for your message. Let’s hope it changes fast. BUT with out turning into a desert. 👍

Same here in Derbyshire not had a prolonged period of dry since July. Some ground only had 1 cut. Run out of bales to feed and now buying it in as it’s still not fit for turnout. (Sucklers)
