With this, and after playing over the first game I just have to wonder.
Considering how badass all the Aggressors are...just how badass was the guy that trained them, Kar-Wai.
Maybe he was the one that made Sanger shout out his famous battlecry a thousand times a day so his voice box became used used to him constantly yelling.
Maybe he's the one that made Kai grow a moustache by demonstrating how it could be done through sheer will.
Maybe he taught Elzam how to Override Trombe everything.
So just how much of an asskicker was this guy.
From his appearance in the 1st OG, He was fucking POWERFUL. He had the 1st Gespenst with him, so he was piloting a seemingly unpilotable Mech at Major Kai levels of Skill, And Beyond!
bonus: his Gespenst is literally the first unit ever built(PTX-001R Gespenst Type-Rapidity). Kai's(and everyone else's) MK-II was a tuned downed, mass-produced version of the MK-I Type-R
So Gilliam, up till his Type-RV upgrade, was piloting THE OLDEST MECH IN OGS, and still kicks ass like it's nothing.
And then the RV went and took it up a notch.

Apparently there's an SRW Z manga where the Edel pits ZEUTH against Alpha Gaiden's Alpha Numbers. (Yes, the rule about only one version of a person existing in the same dimension is ignored in favor of as good of a battle as possible.)
In this manga, Aquarion launches its Mugen Punch at Sanger. And he fucking GRABS it with his mech and disables it with a simple maneuver.

This theme is so badass that I listened to it only once and ordered the Super Robot Taisen OG OST (2007) the same day. Yeah. The other music on the album will be extras for me.
Sanger himself is so badass that I pre-ordered the Project X Zone game only to hear him speak. Also, anything to see him interact with Haken.

Who doesn't feel bad for Vivagi? First he gets overridden by Trombe, then he gets a massive cleaving from Zengar. If that happened in the same day, god have mercy on him!
+TARDISES oh i remember the red falk. arado use that one for just one mission on the GBA and it got fucked by Vigagi and his Galgau. the dick. yeah. the falken series was the little sister of the weiss right. and the wurger was alt's. but the way i see it, wurger is too agile to be an alt. alt is a flippin walking battle tank ala metal gear. the thing can destroy Metal Gear Excelsus with just Claymore.

Ha! A regular sword would just melt into goo long before being drawn due to prolonged exposure to Zanger's epic hotbloodedness. Hell the reason they sent him and Ratsel into space is so that they would stop accelerating the melting of the polar ice caps.
Schwarz Bruder once challenged Sengar to a fight. Sengar then proceeded to cleave Gundam Spiegel in half without Dyzegar or grungust

i got scared, took as a sign, and made a second character to use greatswords, the game named him FOR me... i think Sanger wants to cleave a lagiacrus

I'm with you on that. While both are excellent themes, and Soul-Sword-One-Strike makes for a properly awesome entrance, this is just a better battle theme in my opinion.
