Writing from a few states over in Washington. I commend you for having the mindset to raise a calf to adulthood and then send it to butcher. I don't believe I could ever do this so I have respect for you and the process.
It’s a tough process, but it’s a necessary one.
A good stockman is a valuable person. Problem with a greedy beast is getting bloat. Your kindness towards those cattle is good to see.
Partly why we try to give 2 rations a day instead of 1 big one. Thank you, it is best for all involved to keep things quiet and drama free!
