    Got my new HHXF last week and really liking it. Tried lots of different hitches and so far my favorite is the distel hitch. Really reliable. I'm 275lbs with all my gear and it works great. Thanks again Richard for all the help and great products

    Richard, that is truly brilliant!
    I will be putting that into my gear budget for sure. 😉
    Thanks for making it easier for all us climbers.
    Keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤️🌲

    The small screw holding the slik pin keeper really needs something to hold it in place. Mine was ready to fall out when I realized it and used thread lock Orange on it. It should come this way or have a strong warning to check it regularly.

      @RichardMumford1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you, we do use blue thread lock and maybe that's not enough. It's a small screw so I hate to get it where it won't come out.

      @RichardMumford1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      We now add a spare screw in the package so when people read the instructions they'll see the backup screw.

    I use a Camp Gyro as a harness bridge connection. Will the Hitchhiker XF fit into it or are the holes on the Gyro to small?

    Looks brilliant / Any chance of the little push buttons on the split pin getting gunk'd up with pine pitch / resin ? If so i guess its easy to wash with hot water ?

      I suppose it's a chance, but there kind of out of reach of the tree.

    Managed to get the dmm director boss bow which has slight larger shackl so can attach for double rope on xf. very nice compact swivel carabiner, seems to work well. Was wondering though Rich, what you use for retrieval line? is it just some accessorie cord what diameter is it like around 5-6mm? Ta Rick😁

      I use some 4 and a 1/2 millimeter line lying and it is hard to find.. In the past I used 5.9 mm Sterling power line but it's very expensive. I plan to have this smaller line on my website soon. It's important that it be a non stretch fiber such as dynema or some aramid. When you are pulling your line out of the tree you don't want to be pulling on a rubber band.

    Which configuration would you recommend if I use a lot of different multi senders?

    • @RichardMumford1
      @RichardMumford1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, like I demonstrate in the videos I use for my primary device the captive eye on my rope bridge and on the secondary anchor I use one with this swivel. I'm not advocating that people have to buy 2.
