Hi Chase! All good points! I use mine as an urban assault vehicle driving the chopped up streets of local towns and cities. I drive to Boston sometimes and the streets are like a moonscape. Thanks and keep going!
We own a 2012 Forester in California. It is the Swiss army knife of vehicles. I am a Porsche enthusiast and partial to boxer engines. Alberta is on. my short list of vacation adventures.
Oh for sure, they have quite the utility plus they are a lot of fun to drive! Nice, I definitely want to do a Porsche build one day. Well if you are in the Calgary area hit me up and I might be able to show you a trail or two!
Or a Suzuki Jimny. I'm not sure if the Forester fits in with the Pajero and Jimny, but neither are available in US (not sure about Canada). Forester is more a crossover, while the others are just small SUVs.
Jimmy's are cool! But here is Canada we are part of the USDM market so we don't get any of that. The more crossover features are partially why I went with the Forester, you get a little bit of both worlds haha
Chase, I just saw the episode where you are painting the WRX interior plastic. I liked it so much I decided to see your latest video. Fun! I hope you come to Utah one day and get to off-road in Moab. You will love it! Thank you for the great footage 🥰 Cutie! Your friend Ronnie ❤
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and the painting tutorial. Utah is definitely on my travel bucket list, so I will have to make it to Moab one day!
@Chase_Schrader the headers were pressed against the transmission, giving it what I called the "death rattle", the axle that connects to the transmission had the bearing loose, so the transmission is gonna go soon, plus collasped suspension all around and an oil leak
@@Chase_Schrader Yes back in the 90s & 2000s Subaru Impreza was a big thing, everyone had a scooby but the other models not so popular. Certainly not the outback as anyone wanting off road capability bought a Land Rover in the U.K. now the popularity of Subaru has all but disappeared with even talks of dealerships closing down & I even heard Subaru are pulling out of the U.K. like Mitsubishi did. I hope not but Subaru just don’t sell any cars here.
For a daily like the 2024 outback would u still not want a turbo? Supposed to be getting one from my dad soon and it’s non turbo but everything I’ve heard the non turbo sucks so much worse than the turbo model
For a 2024? That depends on what your main goals are, if you want affordability the non-turboed are still the best as the turbo ones will still drink more fuel. If you want to have a little more power for offroad and fun on the road the turbo is the way to go
okay thanks yeah that's what I was thinking. Was gonna lower it and almost be like a audi rs6 avant on a budget XD. but raise it later to be a capable daily@@Chase_Schrader

Haha, yikes those sound like some pretty rough roads!
Just got an outback this week! Loving it so far, did great in this cold snap.
Awesome, the perfect vehicle for winters! What year is it?
its a '24 Wilderness, im pretty excited to get it out on some gravel roads this summer@@Chase_Schrader
Nice, those are really cool!

Thank you! Of course, a new episode every Sunday!

3 good looking subarus
Thanks! I can't take all the credit, that white Forester is my parents haha
Just learned my subaru is on its way out, I got a ford explorer today but it's sad to see the subaru go
Oh darn, what happened to the Subaru?
@Chase_Schrader the headers were pressed against the transmission, giving it what I called the "death rattle", the axle that connects to the transmission had the bearing loose, so the transmission is gonna go soon, plus collasped suspension all around and an oil leak
Ahhh the mechanic special, lots of work to fix all that!
Im in Alberta overlanding a V8 that needs Premo gas, i feel your pain at the pump 😅😅 love the build!!!
Haha I bet that is a lot of fun on the trails and not so much fun at the pump. Thanks, I got a whole bunch of things I am looking to do soon!
Facts! All of this!
You know it! Nothing like a Subaru!
I love my Outback, just not very popular here in the U.K.
That's great to hear! Oh really, I though the U.K. had its fair share of Subaru's, is it just the Outback that isn't popular?

Oh interesting, I did not know that. I knew they were popular back in the day but didn't know that were on the decline since then
@@Chase_Schrader Unfortunately that is the case. We don’t even get the wilderness editions 😞
No way! That sucks!
