@@NotthatNeil 1It May be for the rules because the air can lift light Cars at High speeds 2 Because here in Europe the majority of the cars on the road are Turbo Diesels wich are very simple to tune and with bigger injectors, a tune and bigger turbos can put five times the original HP remaining somewhat reliable and very cheap for a dragstrip car, a stock 1.6 liter diesel can take 500 HP for a few runs, then you Just take another engine at the scrapyard basically for free and repeat🤣

Stinking diesels. Enforse rules like they do with truck racing that allows very little black smoke. There is no reason to hose so much fuel into them and very bad for the sports 'image' with people going home coughing up black.
Technically they are called Traction Bars on FWD, What they do is stop weight transfer keeping the front weight over the front wheels which in turn aids traction!
nah....they just do it for look more style...the true it not really functional as it should...you just need rear suspension damper to adsorb the impact
They aren't. You are seeing large particles that are not toxic, diesel is much cleaner than gas, which has higher carbon monoxide. Diesel looks bad, but washes out, gas toxins are invisible.

The FWD Diesel record was broken 3 times I think from memory, I might be wrong though

There is a rule in place about diesel smoke and I’ve also seen the startline Marshalls tell the cars crew to reduce the smoke before.
