@Forest Deshawn i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I always enjoy your review's of vehicles as you cover so much in good detail but the biggest reason I enjoy your videos is the beautiful scenery and views that you cover in Norway 🇳🇴. I have now placed Norway on my bucket list to visit as it's so beautiful.
Let me explain the "hump" in the middle. This car is based on the fossil GLC. The drive shaft is the reason for the hump. Since the hump is there anyways, they ran the coolant lines for the battery through it. The battery also has a little hump in the middle. Basically they just tryed to use all of the available space 😉.
@@bjornnyland Yes 😄! I work in research and development at Mercedes Benz in the crash test facility and I'd love to tell so many things about cars for the future 🙈! Sadly I can't 😢🙆! BUT I can tell you one thing! The future looks quite bright if you ask me 😉💁! Many things to come 😇👌 ...
Such a shame. I hope for a stationwagon in the near future like the Shooting break C class. I think they did a great job on this car. It might not be the best electric car but it definitely is a very good one.

Hey Björn, parts oft he car are made in my hometown by ZF. I like to see, that they made a good job. I have bought the Etron, but the EQC is also an option that i see for me. I like the luxery of our german built cars. In any way, we should be happy to have meanwile a hand full of pretty luxery EV cars.
24:15 "mudflaps" at the front of the tyres, most likely a noise reduction feature #nitchfurSchmutz No headlight washers = less than 2000lm per headlight 😒
21:33 I like how optimistic the car is when it comes to estimating the range: you can still make it halfway across the Baltic Sea, that's pretty good! 😉
The hump in the middle of the rear can be explained by the fact, that the EQC is not designed as a pure electric vehicle. You can also order the car with fossil engines.
No, again 85% new. Suspension and parts of interior is from GLC, rest newly developed as an electric vehicle. Built on same factory line as C, GLC etc. Thats why the hump, which is not empty btw...
Kind of like expected, isn't it? I mean it's quite clear that Mercedes is able to build well built, comfy and good equipped cars but they're still behind in terms of the EV stuff. 100kW charging speed really isn't what you expect from a premium car these days, right? Also the range should be more in that class. It's their first serious shots so I guess it's okay but at the end it's more or less on a level with e-tron.

Indeed, USBC is the new "standard" (USBA needs to die). Less space needed and no more fiddling upside/down, can't believe new cars still appear with USBA.
Nice to c u in Rogaland, i wounder if i buy a Tesla S - year : 2017 , do i get the "MCU 2" ?? when did they start to use this on the S ?? Have a nice road trip 👍👍👍
Jim Austin Excluding options and VAT, the basic price in Germany is around EUR 60,000. The fossil Mercedes GLC 300 d 4MATIC is about 15000 EUR cheaper.
Hey Bjørn, saying that this car at a price of well over 85.000€, equipped like yours is good value for money, is just not true. There are other cars that are good value for money, but for sure not this one with a range of less than 400km!
LEDs no longer need a washer because of the much bigger area where light is actually emitted compared with Xenons. We'll see less and less cars coming with washers, at least if they're only available with LED light.
@Martin Svensson Nobody offers headlight wipers any more - same will be true for washers a few years from now. Too little need, too much weight/cost/complexity.
@Martin Svensson You misunderstand. I'm not arguing. I'm just telling you what the industry is doing - whether you like it or think it is necessary or not. I guess you're welcome to voice your complaints in Stuttgart, Fremont, Detroit or wherever.
You're missing the point, it's related to light output not its technology. Manufacturers avoid washers (cost, weight) by staying under the 2000lm limit of EU regulation... This is a cheap move from their end, and terrible for safety.
Bad stomach - most likely because you were driving a Mercedes. This is the company that also is the biggest weapons producer in Germany. Your consciousness was telling you to drive a Tesla…

Bjørn Nyland haven’t seen any of that video apparently. In fact had no idea there were so many by you on the EQC. I’ve only seen this one so far but it just struck me as funny that you mentioned making a separate video for the rear seats around the 11:00 minute mark on what I thought was a long review video. I’ll be sure and check out the rest.

The flaps in front of the front wheels are likely an aero device to help deflect air away from the wheels to improve efficiency.

HI Bjorn, in the front of EQC and GLC, behind the Mercedes Star you have the radar, that is why is not in metal.

I saw a EQC in the wild today, they are getting everywhere.

EQC is actually GLC without combustion engine.

+Trades46 It's a common car.
Really looking forward to watching this When I get Home 😁

They upgraded to MCU2 in 2018
What is the price tho? Can’t find any info
Seems to charge slow compared to the eTron. Is it the wonky battery or how it is supposed to be?
if I remember correct, the EQC is only supposed to charge up to 110 kW, so those 99kW we saw at somewhat high SoC should be totally normal.
How much does the Mercedes EQC cost?
+Jim Austin 730k
Jim Austin Excluding options and VAT, the basic price in Germany is around EUR 60,000. The fossil Mercedes GLC 300 d 4MATIC is about 15000 EUR cheaper.
