- This is the most powerful Honda Civic ever produced, the 2023 Honda Civic Type R, but it is so much more than that. The new generation Type R, or FL5 internally, is based on the eleventh generation Honda Civic and improves in many ways on the previous Type R. Most notably we have new reserved styling which addresses some of the biggest complaints of the last car, along with more power, and rigidity. The Type R was developed on multiple tracks, Suzuka, Nurburgring, Takasu, and Tsukuba, even managing to set the front-wheel drive production car record at Suzuka Circuit with a pre-production model in 2022 and the Nurburgring In 2023 with a production model. Not too shabby. Pricing starts at $43,795 for what is one of the fastest front-wheel drive production cars ever.

Dealership here in San Diego are charging 15-20K Markups. Its a damn shame because i want one but I'm not paying a 10k markups.
Really Good review, Thank You.
Edit: Dealership were driving the high demand cars so they can sell used for more money.
Agreed! It’s such a shame!
The ADM fees place this car in another category as noted in the video...which opened up other vehicles to consider if I'm paying $70k
Yeah its a real shame because it sours the whole experience
This car is so beautiful 😍
I like it as well!
21:28… 21:28 I hope you mean at the track because with spirited driving on the roads there’s no extra forearm strength needed even for an extended time. I’m confused and at the same time amused by so many reviews going on about the stiff ride and now forearm strength. I’m a 58 year old woman, 115 lbs and have no prominent forearms to speak of and the ride is nicely firm in sport, too soft in comfort and +R isn’t bad either on mildly bumpy roads. The steering is great on both sport and +R. You guys are getting soft out there. 💪🏻😎
Jeff good review. Mine comes in four days time.
2023 model in U$D more then $ 90.000 in Indonesia, the 2024 model would be much more
The reality is, because this is the last of the petrol engine ... the car will hold its value long term. So markups aren't as relative with this animal.
We shall see! It seems a lot of companies are going back and starting future combustion engine development so there may be more!
don't bank on it ... @@jalopy_jeff
The irony of starting a sentence with “the reality is” and then followed up by complete bullshit. EV sales are tanking, dealerships are full of EVs rotting away because no one wants them. They don’t even work in cold temperatures.
@@luism8130 your opinion is your opinion Luis. Do you have a Crystal Ball?
Closing on a 2024 boost blue Type R
8K over MSRP.
Honda boy for life.
Ouch. Should've waited. I've seen 2 at MSRP already.
@@looneyyang1326 I got it to 5 over msrp and fuck waiting
@@festeringfiestaspcmon $5k is $5k. To each their own
@@looneyyang1326 when u got money to blow, it doesn’t rlly matter
You cant get one for msrp?
I did at the end of February 2024 in New Hampshire. There were a couple of others in New England offering MSRP. Others were 2-3k and some were 5k.
@@blueberrycobbler i thought the system would collapse after 08 greed fest. It just powered up like altered beast. Its sad that you can get lucky by paying msrp and a 8% vig no matter how much you put down. You could put down 42k and finace 4k and they wouldn’t offer a better rate. And if you pay cash they will stamp on 5k. Lol. No matter what the dealer makes 6 or 7 of that sale nowadays. You probably paid for-weasel fees to walk away with. 50k civic that before the plandemic was 36k. Either way congrats, i cant find a place reasonable enough to take my money and give me a type r without mark ups.
American roads are so poo!!!
Depends on where you are at
