Game 4 could have gone either way. Losing game 1 really put BLG in a tough spot. They played well and will be a tough opponent in Worlds. Chovy finally wins an international tournament. I think he has been the best midlaner for a while except in international tournaments. He finally got the monkey off his back. Well done, well deserved.

Chovy has been looking crazy this year. He's always been one of the best, but in past years he seemed more on equal footing with other top mids like Faker, whereas now it seems no matter who he's against he wins the lane, and can be relied on to carry. Respect to the rest of the team and Helper as well. GenG just looked like the best team at the tournament.

This series was much better than the first one. Really glad we ended up getting the rematch. Unfortunately BLG is not playing to their level and you can tell that they know it by the hasty/just bad decision they're making sometimes. Hopefully they recover for the rest of the LPL season. Good to see that Chovy finally has a team that's worth his while. Thank you Dom for covering all of it!

Glad to see everyone else stepping up other than Chovy. Kiin is absolutely consistent with his tournament gameplay specially this series. Canyon was not performing his greatest with Lee but was really great and entertaining with new picks this tournament. Lehends was griefing most of the tournament but carried his team in this series. Peyz was underwhelmingly bad on Senna but his Kalista games were tremendously strong
1:05:37 MSI definitely counts an a legit international now with the new format. This MSI was arguably the best international tournament to date with ALL cross region series. And no unnecessary same region cannibalism like at worlds (just because riot wants to change stadiums every stage) with their pretty underwhelming format.

Lec fans, honestly, I strongly believe Caps is a much better player than Knight. I have seen and analyzed so many lck vs lpl games, then today got into the conclusion - Knight is a real problem. And his team always lacks a precise macro, clutch playing at decisive moments. I thought Knight is evolving, but no, today blg had real chances and threw them away with pure macro mistakes. Knight is only strong at early lane plays, and just lacklusters right after that.
I hope for G2 the best at worlds.
Knight ceiling is a lot higher, he cant just seem to have an impact mid to late game, its been like that for 3 years now.

XUN missed so many spears game 4 that would've turned the game around. He also does have a good play which is why BLG almost wins it. Sad we didn't get 5 games.
T1 underperformed (mostly Faker and their senna drafts) but BLG played quite close to their level, all you need to do is watch the LPL finals, the level of competition in LPL this year is weak, in any normal year G2 would not be able to beat the second seed from the LPL.

This was by FAR the best tournament in league history. So many great Bo5s we got to see due to the double elim system, great storylines and some hy0e upsets. Now we just need worlds to adapt the same or a similar system but with even more teams. Imagine, no more fraudulent finals, getting to see the most hyped matchups (like Chovy v Knight), more games in the amount of time, etc. Just think the possible matchups if JDG and HLE make it or something like that. Seeing Viper v JKL or Ruler v Viper would be incredible. If only western orgs would get their stuff together as well, that would truly be the dream. Sad that it took Riot so damn long to do what other esports have been doing for literal decades by now.

Teams typically perform better at worlds that they do at MSI so a worlds with 3 or 4 teams from LPL and LCK would definitely be better than Thad garbage ass format they have now. MSI is just the better tournament right now from an organisational point of view. Ofc they can control the level of the teams but they can control the format to give viewers the best chance of watching a lot of hype matchups. For example with single elimination we wouldn't have had G2 vs TES and no T1 vs BLG.
