3 Week Old Chihuahua Puppy, Maria and her Puppy, Time to Socialize

- Meet Maria's little puppy, a 3 week old female. She is a chocolate apple head Chihuahua, and very beautiful. And the puppy is simply adorable. At this age, a Chihuahua puppy needs to begin socialization training. I hold her, touch her feet, ears, and head, very gently to get her accustomed to that touch. I speak to her gently, again to get her used to human voices. I also hold her upside down. This builds trust and to be submissive to her human.
Maria had 2 puppies, but one of them didn't make it, which is not uncommon. But her single puppy is the cutest thing you'll see today. She has blue eyes at the moment. They are likely to turn brown or hazel, but you never know with genetics. She has white "socks" on her feet too. Maria and her puppy live with my affiliate Stephanie, who is doing a wonderful job socializing this newborn Chihuahua. I'll have her back in a couple weeks for another update.

The little toy breed puppies are extra cute cause the grown up dogs already look like puppies still and then when they have babies the baby puppies are even littler and more puppyish! 🐶💗

You’re so right, Margo and Maria do look alike 😜 but they are not related at all. Reina is Margo’s moma and Maria came to me from Russia a few years ago - totally different lines.
Maria’s first litter was a year ago and she had one baby we named Margo Jr because she has the same exact markings as Margo. So cute 🥰

Oh my goodness, she’s so cute! If I had to guess I’d say she’d be a chestnut color as an adult, my aunt has a dog that looked that color when he was a puppy and now he’s a chestnut looking color

How do you choose which Chihuahuas to put in your breeding program?
I like the apple heads and babydoll face sweetie pies best. I start with that in mind and then I do their genetics to be sure they have healthy genes to pass on ❤️

I think some mixes can be cute. As long as they all have loving homes, that’s what really matters.
I think you need an affiliate here in Madison, WI! I AM PERFECT FOR THE JOB! So unfair that it's next to impossible to find chi chis in the midwest, if you do find one locally, the breeders need NOT be breeding!

Are all your dogs toilet trained? My chihuahua 11 weeks old pee and poo at house. He uses litter box tray when I put him there or if he locked in his crate where his litter box is. Honestly I m giving up cleaning after him. Comparing to df on my cat is angel
Potty training a Chihuahua definitely takes a lot of time and effort. Unlike a cat, they don’t usually pick it up naturally and have to be trained where to go. That’s why crate training is a great way to potty train them because it’s much easier to train them when they are confined to a small area. I definitely recommend watching my full proof potty training video and follow those steps carefully for the next several months. 11 weeks old is not too late to learn but if you let his bad habits continue for six months they will be even more difficult to break. th-cam.com/video/mwx2lun7Vm8/w-d-xo.html
