You turned on my aircon with you saying "hey google"😂😂. Im in South Africa in the middle of winter so it helped getting my bedroom nice and warm😂. I have a Jet-Air 12k BTU connected to Wi-Fi.
Thanks for the video.
Suggestion for doing metal inserts into wood. Do not use, like on the metal insert you had the flat head screw driver, take the bolt you will be using and two nuts put the two nut on the bolt put the insert on the bolt jam the nuts onto the insert.
Drill you hole into your wood part, then chemfer the hole. now use the bolt with insert attached to put it into the hole you made.
Where I worked building furniture we used the bolt method and a drill press to put in all the nut cert into everything. Just for information worked 19 years building wood furniture.
If you want to use a hand drill just cut the head of the bolt off and do it the easy way. If you want the insert to go in straighter drill a hole the size of the insert and use it as a guide.
14:37 here she is so beautiful more than before. why? Are you the type that gets prettier as you get older or what?
You should always add a "Shakalaka" after a "Boom" Courtney. As in "Boom Shakalaka". You can also freestyle it and go with a "Boom Shakalaka, Boom Shakalaka, Boom" :)
No caulk, that sink will leak under the rim.
I’m not blowing smoke, but this is one of the nicest container builds I’ve seen.
For a first build I've been schooled big time and that is easier said than done.
Prayers for Boone for a speedy recovery and continued good health! Love all that you are doing for Courtney's mom, making it look professional.
I would cut in Air slots in the toe kick for the for the refrigerator, and they need air circulation to work properly and not over heat causing the compressor to fail.
your build looks great.
You need to build a few for an Air B&B to place on the on the land where the old cabin is being torn down.
I agree, definitely need ventilation or you will ruin the compressor. And it won’t be as efficient as it’s working so hard.
Our pup just had a pacemaker put in 4 weeks ago. Complete game changer🔋❤. Wishing Boone a successful recovery!🐶🥰
So Happy Boone is doing well. I Love the way you guy’s Love your fur babies!! The tiny house look’s amazing. Great job Courtney on the decor of the tiny house!🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Your going to need to provide some form of ventilation for the fridge. The heat it expels out the back needs somewhere to go, otherwise, it won't cool properly and likely won't last very long.
That's the first thing I thought of as well. If you don't let that fridge get some air circulation it's going to overheat and shorten the life for the fridge as well as use a lot more power just to try and stay cool. You can replace that left side trim piece with a louvered or slotted one and put a small DC powered fan under the fridge blowing towards the back and that will push the hot air out and around the left side of the fridge. And being DC powered, it won't be a shock hazard if anything spills on the floor in that location. You will have to make sure to replace that fridge-side kick with a louvered one or at least with a 1.5" gap at the top where you can't see it but air can get in.
Some of the newer mini fridge designs have the condenser coils in the side panels and need all around air circulation, not just the back.
There are people who installed their electrical and plumbing equipment on a combustible plywood sheet I doubt they care about longevity....
Two items from the "It's too late, Baby" department: When cutting with a panel saw, always cut finish side down. The leading saw teeth will be cutting INTO the finish rather than coming OUT of it. Second, especially in a small sink, always set the spigot off to one corner as far as possible. With the spout in the middle, trying to wash anything much bigger than a saucer is a problem because you are always banging into (or trying to avoid) your nice new spout particularly with pots and pans. You could always get a nice stainless plug (or soap dispenser) for the old hole and move it, if so inclined. Other than that, great job!
Agreed, and it also doesn't distract so much from the window view if it's off to the right corner.
Looking good, however good practise would suggest putting a thin film of waterproof sealant under the lip of the sink, hob and tap unit - if water does get inside it will puff/expand the chipboard of the worktop.
That’s a great point!
I was waiting for the sealant, haha
I hate using chipboard for that specific purpose, but sometimes you don’t have a choice. So I go all out on the waterproofing. I literally glued down the sink with silly cone. Unfortunately, it will never come out. Oh well! 🤷♂️😂
I was watching for the plumber's putty.

You guys are awesome to build this for Courtney's mom. Such good kids to support mom like that....and what an wonderful environment you have created for her. Great taste and decision making. I would live there! You should go into the business of making them!!! So happy Boone came through okay and he is doing well. Eagle Grandma.....
Good to see Boone doing so well. He is going to have so much more energy now!!
So glad that Boone is doing well. I love the way the kick board snaps onto the legs.
This tiny home build has been great fun to watch and learn! What a cool project. Glad Boon is doing well!
Hey, very cool you guys! The last two videos were great. I finally had a chance to stop and watch them. Looking forward to the Next one, as always
Nice video. Glad to hear Boon is on the mend. Courtney & Riley, to reduce torque with a power device, use your drill. Lowest speed, torque setting #1. When it stops, finish with a hand tool. I use this all the time. Speedy and safe.
Glad Boone is doing well. Great job on the kitchen, especially the hidden fridge.
As far as moving the can, fab up some skids that mount in the container mounting points on the bottom. They're designed to handle the stress when a sea can is on a ship, train, or truck and being thrown about or moved by crane.
Great video as usual. Keep up the good work.
The track saw is great, but the real genius is that insulation foam surface to saw on - protects blade and floor.
Now the fun begins, Oliver is walking! Time to install those extra eyes for the back of your head. Maybe do an episode about toddler safety devices. Nice build for your Mom, that quite a stylish compact setup.
Excellent idea to modify standard fridge door! Kitchen cabinets looks great! 👍
Put the faucet in the back right corner! Nevermind, you already put it in the back center. LOL
Time to install child door and drawer locks. Oliver is walking! ! !
I installed a sink and found out the hard way that they make putty to bed the sink in to prevent water from going under the metal lip of the sink and getting to the exposed wood made by the sink cut hole. You probably did it and didn't film since I know you guys do such awesome work. I had to remove my sink and do it over is how I found out when I couldn't figure out how water was getting under the sink into the cabinet below.
Sending all our good vibes to Boone ❤ thank for sharing this tiny build with us!
Oliver is walking 🥹💙
You’ve done a very nice job building a ‘granny flat’ for your mom. Very efficient use of space while being very attractive inside. Cheers!
I like how you measured the blade on track saw not trusting the depth guide on saw. Looks great. Best. Wishes for Boon.
I just built those cabinets. In my laundry room.
I wanted a More wipe able surface so I sprayed it with high shine clear coating.
FYI. I love them!
The IKEA cabinets look great. So easy to put together. The container is almost done and Oliver is so cute too.
I can’t believe you guys found such a neat system for cabinets that fit perfectly. You guys did a great job installing it but I think you guys could’ve built it yourselves from scratch. But either way it is an amazing fit for that space. Great job guys, and I like that supervisor baby Oliver.😊
PS he is growing so fast😮
Did a quick cut with my miter box yesterday, to quick to grad glasses. A relatively small piece of wood broke, wedged and shot out. Opened a nice little bloody hole in my forehead. I am so lucky to still have two eyes. Missed it by this much (Get Smart reference). Good call Courtney, keep it up. I've build five houses safely, but it only takes one hurried moment to fail.
Love this project, you're good kids. 😊
So for your pocket door when you sheet. It use 1/2 inch plywood or 3/4 inch plywood. Then you would have something to screw in too. And and then you can cover it with a 1/4 inch drywall if you want.
I thought that built-in fridge was going to be a disaster - Boy was I wrong! You crushed it- really interested in the long-term performance.
I would seal the sink to the counter with silicone, water will find a way in there and as soon as it hits the cut edge of that countertop it will swell and warp. It's also a place where mold likes to grow if it gets wet. Also not a bad idea to put a coating of silicone around the inside of the hole you drilled for the faucet, in the event it ever leaks (I've had it happen with brand new faucets before).
Don't forget to put a bead of silicon, or as in your part of the world 'caulk' the back of the bench top and the wall as well as under the sink to stop water from getting into the benchtop or cupboards under. Nice work!!
Don’t forget those fridges may have an overspill pipe out the back where it will expel the water when the fridge defrosts. So you will need somewhere for that to go.
Maybe build a flowerbed-type of potty area on the deck that Boone can easily use during his recovery. I had to build an inside potty area for my fur baby as she got older and couldn't make it outside quickly.
Your mom's going to love that place or anybody that stays there it's fantastic
Hole Saw. Try the impact driver if your arbor bit has the detent for the impact. It's weird and it wasn't intentional, but I couldn't find my drill and the arbor had the detent in it so I grabbed the impact and it worked amazingly well on a 2.5" hole through 1.5" of wood and 1/2" of plywood. Super smooth and easy. So, hole saw bits tend to "grab" aggressively like your's did in this video. I think the impact driver works so well because it hammers and slows down rather than powering through when the bit grabs. Super weird and unexpected, but try it if your arbor bits have the detent.
Great job guys on the build, it’s looking fabulous. Hope Boone is recovering and doing well.
I'm sure you've seen the container wheels Riley. Time to do some welding and build yourself a set.
I really watch your home until the beginning and the end I hope for more updates in your home and all your upcoming projects
Great job! So glad Boone is doing well. (I really needed some good news today. Thank you.) 🙏🤲🙌🤗
Thank you VERY much Donald! -Courtney
Issues that I see from left to right: Need air flow behind the fridge to remove condenser heat. Verify that the metal strip below the cooktop (The strip that you removed the screw from) does not get super hot when the cooktop is turned on. Add caulk to the bottom lip of the sink prior to dropping it into the hole.
Hello from Rapid Lightning! Adhesives work great for mounting to a pocket door wall. Love the build so far!
Love the cool mouse house under the refrigerator. Looks so cozy! 😅
Now you're in trouble, Oliver is walking. Top shelf container tiny home build.
That tiny home is looking good!
Great build, no worries about Google. I use headsets plus i have a dumb house.
Hope your sweet boy recovers quickly.❤❤❤
Oliver is the smilingest, happiest baby. On camera at least.
You both do a beautiful job in building. And your son is sooo cute!
I love the way it's coming together!!
Tiny home is turning out great, good jobs guys!
Soo glad Boone is OK, He's family.!! Great choice Courtney on the kitchen colour Normaly with IKEA there are always extra parts left over.😏😆, all went together too easy.!! Good ending with Oliver. sweet. Thanks for the video x x x
Nice job guys
Well planned
Looking forward to move and where it will go.
Nice work Riley with your new toy
Be sure to use blue tape to keep all the drawers and cabinets shut when you move the connex to location!
... on the mini-fridge, is there enough air circulation to dissipate the heat from the coils? Looks good with all the trim around it, but I would think it needs room.
Looking nice!
Our GSP received a pacemaker when she was 8 yearsold. She just died a few months ago at age 14+. She had a great life, no problems with the pacemaker.
I am so sorry for your loss. That is incredible that she was able to live so many years with her pacemaker. ❤️
I really love watching your guy's videos. There really cool to see. Thank you for making the best content on TH-cam.😊
I want to see this little house after a year of two of use. great job you two.
I could be wrong but I swear that looked like an IKEA commercial. We bought that kind of cabinetry for years because we loved the look as well as how we were able to build it ourselves. OMG I love you humans just the way you took care of Boone. Cheers ❤😊❤
Just recently came across your channel and watched some of your videos on this 20ft long Container house. I have subscribed to your channel. This is looking really nice. Love the Mr. Cool up in the ceiling, with the remote app set up. I love the walnut cabinet door and drawer fronts. Love the fridge with the cover looks great. Love the gooseneck faucet with the sprayer built in.
You mentioned moving the house at some time. Maybe having it on a trailer would make that easier to move by towing it. I have seen 8 by 20 ft and 8 by 40 ft container homes on a trailer, and that made them more mobile. Just an idea for when you want to movie it to another location. Like that little cabinet with the drawers and glass window and selves. The fold down bed over the dinette is a great idea and watched the video of you all doing that with the couple who came out and helped you install the dinette and murphy bed. Love the windows in the front of the house.
Keeping my fingers crossed for Boon. Glad he is doing better.
This looks amazing hope Courtney's mom likes it
LooksAwesome. Boone will be recovered and thinking he's a pup in no time... Oliver or mini Riley is walking...time to put on a spare pair of eyes!😂
Always a pleasure to watch! Your track saw would have been a better choice for the plunge cut into the counter top!
23:23 Hello,
Before installing the sink, induction cooker and tap, you could have protected the edges of the countertop with silicone against moisture.
Regards ;)
great project guys you have really got it together now
While I am not in the least bit surprised, this build turned out AMAZING! The Boone update has me smiling a bunch! So glad for the good news .
So happy the doggy is good. I like my dogs better then most family members. Well more the ppl in general
That fridge cabinet cover is sitting lower than anything else. That would drive me nuts!!!
That has turned out Amazing! Great job you guys!
Again, you two are nothing short of amazing. Your vision for completed projects is spot on, even though you talk as if you're flying by the seat of your pants. Thanks for all that you do, and for sharing it with us.
That's the best place for your family pet if you can afford it! He's in great hands with them!
Great video - always wanted to see how easy an Ikea kitchen is to do - great inspiration for my future property
Way to go on the refer door. Nice add on! Have A Great day!
We here in Florida deal with fire ants a different way an cheaper. We use instant grits. The take them into the mound for all to eat along with the queen. They eat, the grits expand an the blow up from with in. Never fails here. Y'all might want to try it.
You are amazing! Can`t wait for a new video! Greetings from Estonia!
Nice job, but I always glue the cabinet carccasses together, it makes for a much stronger cabinet which will last a very long time. As others have said, the sink and hob need sealant.
very nice. you did forget to use a seal between the sink and the partical board countertop.
And the whole... sink currently drains into the cabinet :)
Thanks for the video guys!
Quality cabinets you got there.
Get well Boone! And great build series.
Center faucet and also install (as a drop in), a 5-6 inch high splash guard. This will dramatically increase/improve the work area of sink during certain tasks!😊 Saddened to hear Boon is having heart issues! Happy to hear he is doing better! ❤
the kitchen looks great, but wouldn't it be safer to seal the cutouts for the sink and stove with waterproof wood glue, or at least seal the sink and stove with silicone under the overhang to prevent water from seeping in and damaging the wood if something spills over?
Funny you should mention the American Standard Champion...I just installed one yesterday, because the plumbing guy said that's the only one he would recommend!
So glad to see Boone's implant is working, such a beautiful Pup! It's amazing what modern medicine can do for us and our fur children! What kind of caulking did you put under the sink edge to stop water from interacting with that particle board??? We need some Dozer videos, need to do some Ads for your local Cat dealer in exchange for parts! Have fun! Be safe!
Awesome job!!! Amazing what you guys can do. Great channel to watch 🤠
Nice kitchen! Greetings from Sweden, home of IKEA :)
looks a great job, just I normally paint the cut chipboard, in case one of the water seals goes later!
Outstanding job, you blew my mind. Wow, 😊
The kitchen came out nice nice design are they kickboard my ideas started using that put some drawers so I get more storage that'd be my idea for it though I calculated I have to raise the cabinet just a little bit more so the kickboard would pull pull out but the whole place come out really good guys the grandparent should love it.
May want to silicone between the sink and countertop. Lookin good!
I love those Glacier Bay hand tight sink nuts. ❤🇨🇦
I love the new Riley song?. "I'm reckless "...lol
You 2 are so clever …Love what you’re doing …👏🦋🇦🇺💜
You two are AMAZING !! AWESOME SKILLZ ... that tiny home is Fantastic !!!
He's walking! Your lives have changed forever!! 🤣🥰🤠 I am really impressed with the Little House...you guys have done an amazing job.
Nice work! I think you might have match grain problem. Hard to tell from just looking at the video, but I think you'd use switched your drawer fronts that your grains might match. Right now they look a little off. I guess that's the old cabinet maker in always looking at grains.
Glad the dog is doing well. I have a pacemaker myself for over 10 years. They're our lifesaver.
That looks Absolutely amazing you guys, nice Job 👍 well done ✅
Love it! Great job, as usual!
You guys do quality work. Very happy for Boone! Another great video from the strike team!
Wow! It looks sooo good!
Hi Courtney and Riley. I found your channel a while ago and I started watching all of your videos. Would you consider numbering all of them to help us new viewers watch them in sequence ? By the way, Oliver is ADORABLE!! Best regards from Peru.
Funny how time flies... one day you've got paint cans under heating blankets praying it'll reach temp... and then you're sweltering and need a/c!
