I would have made a dolly from truck axles.
Using that as a fulcrum, you put a lever on it to pick up one end. [==]/.
That would allow for another dolly to slip under.

Moved two 20’ containers on rollback trucks. Over 300 miles and placed them on railroad ties. Electrical installed but no water. My exercise room. In Florida, insulated walls and ceilings, put exercise connecting mats on floor. Mounted 5000 btu window ac in one of the double doors and had a metal walkthrough walk in door welded in the other end. The little ac keeps it around 68 degrees. Have changed it out twice. Covered roof with high end sealant guaranteed for 20 years. Have had it for about 7 years. Going to mount solar panels on top for house use.

Bought ECO FLOW on Prime Days, Cooler-freezer-ice maker, a 400 watt solar panel and a ECO Flo 2. Aloe have other solar panels and batteries for refrigerators and freezers if power goes out. Also have a trailer mounted 15 KW diesel generator to fill in. Lived through too many hurricanes in the keys growing up. Months no power or water. Preparing better now.

you can see their shop roof from the plot where they put the container in some of the shots. so i would guess 100-200 ft down the driveway from the main shop/house.

    Two tips for hole saws:
    1) drill the pilot hole and dont press hard enough for the hole saw to catch. Once the pilot hole is through, put the drill in reverse and kind of etch the hole in reverse and then click the drill into forward to finish it. It will keep it from catching and bruising yourself (or like me a nice black eye).
For smaller hole saws (3/4”, 1-1/8” etc.) put a fender washer over the pilot bit and then drill the pilot hole. This will keep the holesaw from slamming into contact and make it spin freely. Obviously then remove the washer and finish the hole.
Keep up the great content guys! Love he channel!

Hello good sir! I’m a licensed Plumber in Georgia and own a plumbing company.
For PEX we use type A tubing with the wisbro/cold expansion method. That expands the pipe then you insert the fitting into the pipe and the “memory” of the pipe contracts around the fitting securing the joint. The pipe is always trying to shrink back to its original size so technically the joint is constantly tightening for the life of the system instead of loosing like most other methods eventually would. When we used old crimp ring method we had leaks all the time but after changing 15 years ago our %leaks from install dropped dramatically!

When I Ran all new Pex lines inside my house trailer I went with the barbed clamps instead of the solid ring. I'm only dealing with 50 psi water pressure from a 3/4 hp electric well pump pulling water 40 feet through a sand point. If I was in the city dealing with 90 psi and higher I would have gone with the solid ring. When I checked with the Pro's, this was recommended to me based on water pressures. It's been at least 7 years since the remodel and zero leaks so far. Love the video and I can't waite to see the smile on your Mom's face when she's on her deck having a coffee in the morning looking out over the landscape. It's going to be epic.

For future reference : I;ve used shark bite push-on fitting because my crawlspace freezes every winter while we’re on vacation. I can disconnect the pushon fitting and reconnect when we return. I”ve done this for about 10 seasons (so far!). In fact, i plumed a tiny cabin entirely with pushon connections, for the same freeze reason.

Nice work. Tip for holesaws. When drilling through hard materials, or more than 1/2" of wood; clear the chips/sawdust often. The teeth are only so deep. They can only hold a small amount. Pull the saw out, go back and drill some more. The harder the material, the less you drill before clearing chips. Saw lasts longer, and not as tough to drill. I know it seems like a lot of wasted time, but a very wise metalsmith taught me this (Thanks Ryan), and it really helps.

@@redmesa2975 yep and it's strong enough I accidentally swelled a brass fitting a little bit when I stuck the tool in too far. Didn't hurt the tool at all. It was a dumb mistake on my part making a piece of tubing super short when it could've been any length. The plastic case even has a pocket area inside that is big enough I can put the milwaukee pex tubing cutter in.

Something to consider for your mum is accessibility?
    Had you considered that ?
I would have made the pad wider so one can get around the home with ease, even the gardening chores may become risky !
You asked how we would move it , probably built it on skids .
How come there are only the concrete slabs on the four corners only ,or did you add more to the middle ?
Will the site be accessible during winter ,will it be a problem to get to the cabin/house ?
Did you anchor it down into the rock ?

I'm a former plumbing contractor and noticed that you need to install a vent on the kitchen sink. Also, unless the codes have changed, the closet bend 2" outlet is not league. It's meant for a vent for the toilet. I suggest you contact someone who is more up to date on all the new codes and and installations practices as it's been over 40 years since I sold my business. Good luck!

    • @bengtrobbert9264
      @bengtrobbert9264 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

The kitchen trap will siphon without a sanitary tee and an auto-vent to break the siphon.
The toilet has to have a vent wye installed downstream of the closet bend 90 and it has to be rotated a bit upwards to the horizontal toilet vent is above the middle of the 3” line. Then the sink wye can be installed.
Sorry to say any plumbing inspector would red tag your work.
I’ve been a plumbing contractor since 1975. I made those same mistakes year one…

there is a vent that can be installed under the sinks that don't require roof penetration
      see them in mobile homes
they work like check valves open to let air in and closed to stop sewer gas from vent into living space
possibly vent toilet outside of mini cabin as it won't be used as a wet vent

In addition to the above, I am also concerned about how you removed the entire web from the perimeter beam to allow the main sewer pipe through. Consider putting additional footings on each side of the opening.

Just wanted to say sending you guys love good job. I was so excited about this thing getting moved. Also I started looking for your post today at around 6 AM and I was so happy when I finally seen it was there. Would it be too much for you guys to maybe do two videos a week just to keep me entertained. I’m retired and all, I know you guys are busy. Have a great week. Can’t wait to see you guys next week.

Hey Riley, nice job wiping off the quick couplers before attaching your attachment. One of the things I always suggest to my customers is when not in use they connect the two hoses together. It helps keep them clean and stop them from building in the sunshine.

    Glad the move went well.
Will you anchor it against winds and slides like you did the solar shack?
If TH-cam ever dries up I can see a few of these as rentals scattered around your mountain top.
Next project after a chair lift for ski and inner tubing in winter- a water slide into a pool.

I think you got it figured out on the Pex. The SS crimp rings just work! Same crimp tool for all common sizes. Our cottage froze when the pilot on the old furnace went out. All Pex joints and Pex pipe survived unscathed.. New furnace, no problems since, love your vids! ❤
