To use it outside they would have to, or else wait for a day without even the slightest wind. Otherwise it will just be carried away. I would anchor it to a car, then it could move without being blown away. Not that RC airships haven't been used outdoors.

If anyone can do it, you guys can. :-D
The blimp would have worked if you had put the props at the top of the air frame rather than in the middle of the airframe... You can't draw air around a cylinder you guys know that..

I like these guy's willingness to try, fail and try again. That's what this hobby should be about. Static modelers attention to detail should be admired but that's not for everyone. Seeing this channel grow and these guys do what they love makes me happy.
1 - What you built was a Dirigible. 2 - You had tons of space in there you could have filled with helium ballons to help with the weight problems. 3 - in the upper portion where the batteries and radio equipment was installed. You could try putting a movable weight suspended on a string and motorized pulley system to trim the fore and aft weight distribution. As I have noticed with your (ahem) larger items that you have attempted to make fly, they have been for the most part RATHER tail heavy. So a way to trim them out in the future a moveable weight system could help in some instances.

Thanks, folks. Your efforts always are a lot of fun to watch. Many of us are "closet RC Flight Freaks" but have had commitments that crowded out the actual indulgence of a hobby. I know it's not just animators addicted to remote flying... I like when the scene gets incredibly serious when the Blimp is stable! But when it makes that True Battlefield 1 game physics it had me a crack open like an egg! hahaha!!!
Maybe if you put the rotors on top and use a big prop in the back as propulsion. It would be more stable. You could also put a rudder behind the big prop so you could turn and just have the motors on top to keep you in the air.
That blimp was really hilarious!!! IDK what was up maybe the gyro needed some tweaking as it seemed to go OK then it would start oscilating and just get worse and worse.
I know this comment is soooo late, but you are experiencing a PIO, pilot induced oscillation. If you mounted three ducted fans at the centerline, top of the fuselage, you would get superior power and control. Additionally, establish the minimum number of bulkheads and stringers, then cover with silkspan. Youse guys are too cool!

You can easily build RC airships, the Airship will just float instead of consuming battery for simply staying afloat.

it flys badly cause either 1:the propellers are to close to the center or 2: the dampening on it is way to low.
With the gondolas gone it flew better with less weight and less of a pendulum effect, but yeah, wider prop distance and some FC tuning wouldn't hurt.
