- On today's video we meet up with Chris from RatherbeWelding to get ready for the Windrock meetup. We was behind on our Mule project so we quickly do a engine swap on our blue buggy. We take off the 688cc V Twin and replace it with the monster 625cc single cylinder engine from Vegas Carts. The new engine turned this kart into a monster. Viewers like me really need a comprehensive review with real numbers of the various engines available. Price vs HP vs reliability vs cost of additional hardware required (Torque convertor, etc.) Say 212 class up to the V-twins.

What did you use for the carb on that 625? I've got a bone stock one, well and truly out of warranty with less than 2 hours on it, in my "golf" cart, but want even more power out of it.
Is the 40 series clutch what you used? Is it good enough for Windrock?

Hello sir , I am building a gy6 150 . Installing 171 piston kit a11 cam with 1500 head what valve spring pressure would suggest ?

Even the 460cc kit is no longer available. Not seeing any news of discontinuation or if they stopped taking orders due to the pandemic...no idea.

Have you ever put a two barrel carburetor from a automobile on a predator 670?
I have not but we can do some experiments during the winter with one.

Well obviously the vtwin 670 makes more power and torque but i guess the speed of the vehicle varies on gearing and carb tuning and so fourth

Hey red. So I keep detonating connecting rods in the predator. Any recommendations for stopping them from coming loose again? 212 style. Loctite maybe?
Are the rod bolts coming loose, or is the rod coming apart?
Bolts loose. And if I don’t catch it in time, then it’s shatters. Usually taking out a block with it

Con rod bolts coming loose sure isn't the same as detonating con rods. RBG hasn't reported any of his doing this, prob because he follows the incremental torqueing process and oils the bolts pre torquing, so loctite is no go. You need make and effort and watch like any of his several engine build vids where he's covered the process to death many times.

Carburetor says who installed the vibrator and wishes it was the diaphram type. Float is confused about which way is up. Needle and seat says WTF.
Gotta hoon that thing harder, give it a proper durability test

Carb cable only thing holding that motor when you switch to rear facing camera. Might want to give it some more slack

I have an extended go cart frame that needs a powerplant. ..
I had a 1 wheel drive, but i had a light duty trailer with a 1 1/8" axle now its under the go cart . Hehe, i blew up the 8 hp i had beyond repair.

Our 150 engine recently blew so we looking for something better
Poor engine would have a easier time if shoved into an industrial tumbler and spun wide open non stop at a few hundred RPM. Lol looks like a quick way to bust a ear or two off the crankcase or grow some nice and shiny new hairline cracks that love to leak oil everywhere. 🗯️
