"The Witcher" by Netflix and political correctness

In "The Witcher" by Netflix we can see very diverse casts, which is not bad by itself. The problem starts, when it s in opposite to the original story and when it's made forcefully. The 'showrunner' tries to explains this choice, yet I'm not sure whether her arguments make sense at all... I tried to look at the case with a sober eye.
