Can I use JR pass to board the train? Or I have to buy additional ticket? I'm planning to use Okayama-Hiroshima-Yamaguchi area pass. Japanese steam locomotives are about to disappear after SL人吉 ended service.
I know it's a month out from your post but the website says no you can't use JR pass for that train It's a separate ticket and can't be purchased overseas and must be done in Japan
@@Shadowtiger2564 thx you. But I just find the reservation website few days ago,foreigners who buy railway pass from JR West website can reserve the train online.

@@Shadowtiger2564 the locomotive is D51 this year, but in my schedule time for Yamaguchi is changed to Shimonoseki now, I cannot record the trip and upload to my channel
